An added benefit... when it is wet outside and you walk indoors, they maintain a good, solid grip on what otherwise would be a slick floor. Best purchase on shoes in a while, so much so that I just bought another pair! Consider finding these in a store to try on first. They run large. [ I hike and walk my dog in the woods and I walk through rivers and streams a lot. I need shoes that: 1) Are supportive enough to actually hike in-- and 2) I can walk through and INTO muddy, rocky rivers and streams in( usually chasing my dog)-- and 3) Then keep hiking-- and 4) Have them dry overnight or faster so I can wear them again. It has been SOOO difficult to find these. `` Water Sandals '' are not supportive enough to hike in and THEY HURT, and are so open that all sorts of rocks and stones get into them and under your feet, and those rigid straps give me blisters. Standard `` waterproof '' shoes still let water in at the top if you actually submerge your feet-- and I do-- and get soaked from the inside out. And then take DAYS to dry. These shoes are closed with mesh( no rocks and stones getting in) and are MEANT TO GET WET and then dry quickly. And they actually are soft, and do n't give me blisters even without socks and everything gives me blisters!! WHY were these so hard to find? I would give 10 stars if I could, and have SERIOUSLY tried and tried to find shoes like these. You wo n't find them anywhere else( which I do n't understand).

[ I 've been looking for an alternative to my Xtratuffs and came across these. The comfort on the midsole is what I was really looking forward too. Long days on my feet on a 10+ hour workday means I need all the comfort I can get and so far these shoes have met my expectations. So far the outer water protection layer is holding up. The only downside I 've found so far is the opening to the shoe is narrow and I have to wear long socks or pants that come down to protect my shins from all the rubbing and hitting from walking.

I usually wear an 8 and these fit perfect true to size. They are like pillows on your feet. There is no arch support inside the boot so if you need that you might want to add your own inserts. I bought these beginning 2025 and main complaint I read was hard to determine on due to narrow opening. I have a skinny foot and hold on to both loops to slip on shoe. I could see if you have a thick or wide foot you may have issues getting it on but once you get into the boot it is not right. Easy to get off. I know these were designed for deck shoes on a boat and I could see they have a bottom created for that. If you walk on snow or frozen surfaces they are NOT good for that at all. I almost fell on my toosh walking on these on hard frozen surfaces. Rubber gets hard on the bottom and traction is not built for that. I walked down a muddy bank and slid all the way down to the creek due to no traction on the bottom. I love the boots for walking my dog and fishing in our boat. The cushion is awesome. They do hold stains if you get in red dirt. You need to wash them off immediately or they hold the stain. In general for some reason the cushiony material sucks up grime and they are hard to keep looking good even after scrubbing they need to add something to the cushion part of boot to block the grime. I bought the purplish swirl boot color.
