[ This is a relaxed fit shoe with a relatively roomy toe box. I am between an 11 and 11. 5 normally but went with an 11 in this shoe. I ’ m glad I did as the fit is just about perfect due to the relaxed fit. The colorway is very classy( Cirrus Grey/Grill). I was thinking about getting XtraTuf boots for a long time but never had any reason to until I started needing a waterproof boot that wasn ’ t a full tall winter boot. I ’ m glad I got them. They aren ’ t breathable( as I expected) due to the waterproofing of the boot, but the fact that they are short boots helps them breathe a little more than a tall boot. They are very comfortable and I have even wore them for short hikes because I decided not to change my shoes. They have quickly became my everyday winter shoe/boot. I love the purple color, it is so fun, but when mud splashed on them it stays visible until you wash it off. The one time I did scrub them off they did clean up relatively nicely, but if you want an easier maintenance boot, I would get a darker color.

They work great right out of the box! I knocked the new off of them by fishing 7 straight days in Argentina on the Malleo. The boots offered plenty of support both in and out of the water. We did a lot of walking and I had no problem scrambling up and down the bluffs. The felts worked just fine on the slick, rolling, bowling ball sized rocks and my legs appreciated the lite weight at the end of the week. I ordered the size recommended on the Simms webpage and they fit great. I highly recommend them.

Used them on the Neversink, a river whose riverbed is full of good size rocks and boulders that are moss covered. The boot gripped like a charm. Because of the light weight the boot did n't protect me as well as my heavier, more padded boots when I stepped in between rocks but the lightweight was a real lifesaver with our 2. 2 mile hike from the river at the end of day.

I used these for the first time yesterday, and they were outstanding. I spent seven hours wet- wading in Western North Carolina, and they felt more like a pair of slippers than wading shoes. I paired them with SIMMS quick- dry pants, and the combination worked great. My only quibble is the strap adjustment system. You can ’ t really fine- tune the straps while they ’ re on your feet. I had to put them on, take them off, wrestle with the straps, and repeat the process a few times before I got the heel locked in without slipping. Once dialed in, though, they were excellent — easy to slip on and off, and I never had to adjust them again.

They look even better than the photos, the grey as not so boring. These look sharp. The boot materials are premium, but the boa wire is not as heavy duty as I expected. It is a very thin and flexible, I hope it does not snap or fray over time. I bought men's size 13. They are roomy, even with neoprene footies and wool socks. But when submerged did pressurize a bit. This seemed to help with comfort especially on the toes. I can not get the boa as tight as I am accustomed to with traditional laces. First time out I felt myself being cautious because they are not as stable in that regard. I would n't say I am swimming in them but definitely a relaxed fit. I think it will just take some getting used to. I 'd be curious to see how a 12 would fit but did n't have the chance to try them on. All the recommendations were to size up from regular shoe. The way they drain water is no joke, made for very easy clean up and they seemed nearly dry by the time I got home. As far as the soles, traction seems up to par. The felt sole is thinner than some other brands. The rubber was nice for walking and one of the rivers I go to is mostly sand so perfect for that. They were not as easy to swap out as described, which i guess is good because they tried to address the problem of some folks losing their soles in the river. I had more trouble getting one of the orange tabs back in, it would not snap in properly. I had to use a screwdriver.

I bought these in Canada, they were comfortable right out of the box. I love everything about them, except the loop on the instep. It is fairly stiff so if you wear no- show socks it scratches your foot. Solution... I tie the loop down and make the bow near the tow box, very cute. It has roomy toe box for those of us who have had foot surgeries or bunions. I wish I could throw them in the machine, but looks like they are spot or hand wash only.

Started with a pair of field and stream brand boots, lasted 2 years. Then went for a pair of orvis Clearwater that lasted only 1 year before the heel started to wear out and damage my waders. These simms boots seem like they will outlive both of the previous pair. They are so rugged and sturdy. I love that the whole boot is made of a thick rubber. The boots go so far up the ankle that you have so much support. It ’s almost like they make you stand up straight and have proper form. 50+ miles have been hiked in these since owning them for the past 2 months and they still fit and look like they are brand new. I also purchased a pack of the hardbite studs which work great. I were a size 12 shoe and I purchased a size 12 boot and they fit perfectly with my waders. I have only used them a few times so far so not sure how they will hold up. But so far so good. They still look brand new lol. I would give simms a 5 out of 5 on these. I ’ m sure there higher line boots are amazing as well but for a more mid priced boot these are definitely worth it to me.

These boots replace my old Simms Leather Guide Boots, which are twenty years old and still serviceable. Incredible boots, comfortable to hike in and the fit is great. Follow the Simms sizing guidelines and you should be good to go. Sent a photo of the boots with me wearing my Simms Guide pant waders. Fit great easy to get on and off. I have mobility and flexibility issues and was able to tie them with no difficulty. Wore them for 7 hrs in 44 Degree water my feet were warm all day long. I need a cane to walk and these bots gave me an added to my ability to wade in more rocket water.

The boot is fairly lightweight and rugged. Very simple boot without much to it. Fits true to size and is able to lace up securely. Not as stiff as most other wading boots. I like that it has the metal rivets along the eyelights for the laces. These boots appear as if they were made to last. I would recommend this boot to others. It was a tad bulkier than what it appears in the picture, but not excessively so. Fits well with a lot of good support. Easy to walk in for a long day of fishing.

I always wear a size 10 shoe. Korkers Greenback Wading Boots size 11 did not fit. Ideally there would be a size 11. 5 but my only option is going to size 12 if I insist on this boot. Otherwise, they seem great. Dicks Sporting Goods is accommodating me without any hassel- much appreciated!!!

First pair I ordered online was n't the size I ordered so I took them back to the local store and they ordered me the correct pair. The store manager did me a solid and gave me an extra discount for the hassle. I 've yet to wear the boots in the stream but have no doubt I will thoroughly enjoy them. I do a lot of fishing and these boots are great. I usually wear a size 12 but since I would be using these with waders I went up a size to a size 13 and they are perfect. The different treads on the bottom are a little hard to change but that ’s not something you do often anyway.

[ I 've been looking for an alternative to my Xtratuffs and came across these. The comfort on the midsole is what I was really looking forward too. Long days on my feet on a 10+ hour workday means I need all the comfort I can get and so far these shoes have met my expectations. So far the outer water protection layer is holding up. The only downside I 've found so far is the opening to the shoe is narrow and I have to wear long socks or pants that come down to protect my shins from all the rubbing and hitting from walking.
