[ I bought this to compliment my hammock camping. So far I 've only been able to setup in my backyard but it has worked well. We have a drainage way that is full of reeds and has a steady presence of bugs and this worked well. The opening is somewhat tight to get into but setup and overall use was excellent. The additional tie off cords were great and it held it shape. I 've tried it during rain and at night an its held up quite well. Look forward to a few more weekend getaways.

I have a cheap hammock that the bug net torn in. I purchased another Eno product since my Eno underquilt added so much more comfort to cold nights I thought their bugnet might also. I was not disappointed. The net once fully installed has enough space to throw your pack underneath giving it a dry bug free place. Coating the net in permethrin before your trip adds another layer of protection for the deep woods. But the net it self has an abundance of room on the sides so even persistent bugs have no chance to dine on the sides of your arms. I recommend this for almost any hammock user.

[ Homie and I decided to try out hammock backpacking over the summer and picked up the Guardian SL to pair with my eno hammock. This I believe is the lighter of the Guardian model. It does its job- set up and breakdown, ease of getting in and out of, and bug protection. I think my only issue was I have to make sure the end is cinched closed because it's an added pull. It should work with other brands of hammocks.

I spent the summer in the Southern Utah desert doing fieldwork. This bivy was great when the bugs got bad. I slept easy knowing I would n't wake up snuggling a snake or scorpion. This product is light, relatively compact, quite robust, and does its job well. If you are looking for an ultralight replacement for a tent this is a good start, I would probably pack a rain fly or tarp just incase. Just make sure you are looking for a bug net, because this product obviously does n't retain heat, stop rain, or allow for another friend inside( unless y'all are lovin all night). My old net was a cotton type net which caused a lot of problems releasing the trout while fly fishing. This should solve my problem of the tangles that occurred with the flies getting hung up and should be better on the release of the fish as well. If you are fishing for big lake trout it would probably need to be bigger but for our trips to the San Juan River it will be very functional and make my trips much more enjoyable and a quicker trip back to the water for the trout as well. [ My kids and I love to fish. We prefer a collapsible net, and have tried several. Most are flimsey, or hard to open/close. We had one that would sometimes collapse when you tried to land the fish. This is the best one we 've ever tried. When it unfolds and locks open, it has a very solid feel and latch- no way that is accidently coming undone. And then, with a quick twist of the friction fit handle, it will slide in to reduce length, or slide back out to extend to its full length. So cool. We 've landed 10+ pound catfish in this with no problem. If we lost it, I would buy again in a heartbeat.
