Like it so far- we have a Rav 4 Adventure and had to put the rack in the middle which makes it a little harder to get the Kayaks on the roof. It might have been better if we bought two separate units so they could be closer to the side of the Rav. Also with the support straight up, the bigger Kayak needs to be held until you get the first strap on it. All that said, the rack seem strong and the Kayaks rode well.

I say best for the price,* because if you have any wide and heavy yak, then this is the best one out there for this price tag. I have had 3 yak's one old town PDL and a big fish 108 pdl and a sit in perception fishing yak, and this cart just get the job done with no problems, fits all 3 different types of haul's, and is a must have as a kayaker. My daughter wanted a kayak, but I did n't want to buy a roof rack for my SUV. I saw these inflatable devices on the shelf and did some research. The online reviews were mostly positive. A few people said they blew out the air bladders with over loading and few others warned that sitting in the hot sun while under load might cause them to fail. Another review mentioned a modification after the bladder failed where the guy put PVC pipes wrapped in pool noodles into the space where the bladder would go. So, I figured that I could try these out and if I popped them, I 'll try the pool noodle trick and still be spending less than rails, bars, and installation on my car. My daughter's kayak sits nicely on this rack. I have also used them to move some long lumber and a piece of large, but lightweight furniture. The straps are very secure but I might buy some ratcheting straps for extra security on the freeway. If you have a car with no roof rack and you do n't want to install one just to carry some light watercraft or the occasional 12- 16' piece of lumber from the hardware store, this is the way to go.

Excellent for my Perception Pescador Pilot, it's light and has nice grip for the hull so it does n't slip easily while pulling it, the straps are very good and easy to set up. The wheels will never go flat, and have a nice rubbery feel for good traction. It can hold a lot more weight than others so it's stronger.

Kit worked well. I changed the mount from inside the trailer to outside( who wants to lose space in the trailer bed?) by getting some additional u- bolts and L- brackets to replace the bottom mounting plates. I did have to replace the bolts used to attach the tie down points, as the wrench needed to tighten them would not reach inside the cross bar.$ 2. 50 worth of slightly smaller bolts, nuts and washers fixed the issue. I still need to cut off the excess bolt threads, but it is going to work great for carrying kayaks while still allowing the trailer to be used for hauling other items.

No, I do not personally own one of the racks, but coming from a person with loads of ladder rack and vehicle rack purchasing and using experience, this may the coolest, most useful product I ’ ve ever come across. And believe me when I say, I am very OCD, we use ladder racks on all our work trucks and enclosed trailers and I have shopped just every brand and style out there. Never have I run across anything this functional. Such a simple idea and long overdue. Wish I had thought to design and sell it.
