I 've been using the gore- Tex trail shoes with Currex high arch insoles for more than a year of consecutive daily running. I was doing more trail/gravel running til late winter& switched to the track for later runs. This is my first carbon plate Nikes and I ca n't believe how much faster& lighter they feel on my feet. Of course now I want to try the vapor/alphas as well. I have really high arches and it is like they made this shoe to fit me perfectly. I may end up putting my insoles in but I had not even needed them for my first week of runs in them. I 'm definitely going faster than I 'd even imagined. Great shoes. I 'd love to see more colorways. I actually worked in them the first night I got them and had several complements. I felt like I was Tigger from Winnie the Pooh bouncing around the hospital all night.

I ’ m relatively new to road racing( having done just one half marathon this year) and this is my first carbon shoe. My warm up mile was light and breezy in this shoe and my speed work was definitely faster than normal. I struggled to run slow in these shoes for my cool down mile- your feet turnover fast in these shoes. I did have to size up a half size from a 7. 5 to 8, but super pleased after just one run. I worry that the 8mm drop is a little too high for me to use on long runs tho, but we ’ ll see.

I ’ m a great lover of Brooks running trainers and have bought these in anticipation of an upcoming marathon. Have worn for circa 30 miles of training runs and they have been a revelation. I ’ ve used this shoe on grass, dirt, pavement, and track, and it performs great on all. I ’ ve used this shoe since July, so I would estimate 100- 200 miles, and there isn ’ t too much wear. The fit of the shoe is great, love the snug feel. Not crazy amount of traction, but the hole in the bottom( where the plate is) can get some mobility out of the rocker. The DNA flash is very soft in the heel, and lessens further forward, giving soft landing and fast release. This shoe can be used of really any distance in speed. Only complaint I ’ ve had is the ankle bump it has, it gave me soreness one time, but never happened again, so it shouldn ’ t be a problem.

I prefer them to my Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 because I recover faster after a hard workout in the Hyperion Elite 4. Elite 4 is comparably more stable than the Endorphin Pro 4. Excellent upper and ventilation. DNA Flash 2 foam does not stiffen up in the cold. I appreciate the design of the laces and how it makes it harder for them to get undone. Fit is perfect on my slightly wide feet. These shoes do n't get proper justice from some online reviewers and I do n't agree with that. I am really happy I gave them a try and they are permanently in my rotation now until I wear them down.

Usually carbon plated shoes hurt my feet after a few miles- these don ’ t. Just feel good to run in and they keep your feet turning over. Only complaint is little hard to get on. I purchased both Hoka Bondi 9 and the Skyward. The support is Awesome but my feet tend to get tired faster in the Skyward as opose to the bondi 9. I do 12 hour days, the arch support is great in these i have high foot arche. I do not have leg or knee trouble when wearing the Hokas. At first I thought I needed a half size smaller than normal but after trying definetly true to size.

Wonderful shoes, wonderful fit, true to size, no `` breaking in `` required. Used them for walking, jogging with no blisters or complaints!! Very good support, not too squishy, but super cushioned.

I bought this and I got it yesterday and I was extremely happy about it. I ’ m very active in the gym and I ’ m a nurse who walks a lot by the way. I jog in the treadmill for 30- 45 minutes without stopping but not doing it lately. I can last about 10 minutes only coz of the shoe I was wearing. I have one fave shoes from Nike, Zoom X. But I tried Hoka for the first time. This was my first one. This shoe I highly recommend to anyone: nurse and athletic or athlete. Very comfortable, cute and stylish.

I 've had these for 4 months now and have racked up about 60( fast) miles. I use these for all of my fast runs from tempos around 6: 00/mi pace all the way down to 30 second 200m repeats. They are a lot more stable than my previous speed shoes, the Vaporfly 3. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a speed trainer or more stable race day shoe.
