I 've had 4 or 5 pairs of these over the last dozen years. I had a spiral fracture of a bone in my foot, and some shoes I just ca n't even walk in---- but with these, I can walk for miles and miles! Merrell mocks are the most comfortable everyday shoes on the planet. Even though the Numbuck model is the same structure as the less expensive Merrell mock, the Numbuck seems more comfortable to me. I am on my 3rd or 4th pair. Although, I do suggest a different shoe if you are taking a 3- 5 mile walk/hike.

Slip on/ slip off- makes it very easy to keep the house clean by removing my shoes at the front door vs having to tie and untie shoes. 2. Design- I like the overall appearance of the shoe 3. This is a very comfortable moccasin. Perfect for winter days to keep warm and the hard sole is great. I 've stepped outside and onto a rock garden and did not feel the jagged edge's of the rocks at all. One thing though, once the factory tied knot on the rawhide lace comes out good luck trying duplicate it. I would try to keep it as long as you can. My puppy untied one shoe for me and I can not tie it the way it came.

[ This is my first Olukai shoe, and it does excellent double duty. With the back of the shoe down, it slips on for quick trips to take out the garbage but also stays on well in that slipper mode. When I know I 'll walk further, it's both comfortable and the sole is good even through a bit of water. The solid sole is a bit noisy on wood floors, but that's a small price to pay for this comfortable and versatile shoe.
