Irons of the year! Went from the rogues to these and you can definitely feel the difference. Got 20yds more on most clubs and really love the feeling when compressing.

5 TheJasonMarcum
Hit these in a hitting bay at Dicks and ordered the following week. Callaway cracked the code with these, the perfect combination of looks, feel, and forgiveness. The sound is less `` clicks '' than any other game improvement iron. They feel and sound more like a forged players iron. I can work them left, right, and flight shots at will even with the added forgiveness. The best part is I 've been playing these for about 2 months now and I do n't get the old `` game improvement flyer '' with these irons. Im a 7 handicap and I can see these being perfectly suited for mid to low handicap golfers. Best irons of 2025 100%.

5 freddieb1988
I was fitted into the Elyte irons back in April. I play between a 16- 18 handicap so needed something with some extra forgiveness but hate the chunky look of most game improvement irons. The sleek design and thinner topline caught my eye immediately. The clubhead I would give 5 stars all day, but the stock shaft was a little too light for me, and low kick point caused the ball to fly a little to high for the windy conditions I see living near the ocean. I would highly recommend this club for anyone looking for distance, accuracy, and forgiveness, but suggest seeing a fitter to make sure you get into the best shaft for your game.

Great feel. Nice grips. Does exactly what I need it to do.

5 degolferguy
Our greens traditionally don ’ t allow for biting wedge shots. However, after putting this Lob Wedge in play, the ability to bite on our greens has been amazing. Gets the ball up quickly and with plenty of spin. It is truly a game changer!

I bought this as my go to wedge for sand. So far I am not disappointed as I 'm 100% getting out of the lousy traps my home course has.

5 Bin
Surmounts to a revolution rather than an evolution. Compared to my apex blades significant improvement in smaller scatter. Compared to my mizono's less torque and spin with equal distance. Feel is far superior than my wilson staff that I played in the 80's. Pure.

5 Big Mike
Ordered these built to my specs with stock Mitsubishi Graphite MMT shafts. This is one of the best looking and best feeling irons I have ever owned. There are a lot of forged irons out there but these are soft! Feedback is excellent so you can tell when you hit center or are off the mark a bit. Launch the ball high with excellent angle of descent and stopping power on the green. Can work the ball on partial and full shots. Distance control and dispersion are excellent and consistency is impressive. Distance is good for the lofts which are more traditional than todays `` players distance '' irons so if you are more interested in distance than control, feel and workability you may be disappointed. And while not as forgiving as a game improvement club these are no way as demanding as many blades and muscle backs on the market. As a 6 HCP I have no trouble gaming these One final note. I ordered these the first day pre- orders were being taken and it took longer than anticipated to be built due to a missing component. Callaway went out of their way to keep me updated on the progress and shipped overnight to me at not cost. Great customer service!

5 Jaymes
When I went for my fitting, Callaway was not on my list of clubs. Little did I know that the second I swung this club, i would be BLOWN away. Super soft off the face. The carry distance is exactly what I want to see. Spin was great but not overboard. While being fair to other manufacturers, I tried 4 other clubs without looking at them and could pick the xforged cb EVERY time simply off of feel. Needless to say, I went with Callaway and could not be happier! They truly outperformed the competition! You owe it to yourself to give these a try! A+

5 Digircp
I made the purchase for these a few months back, really focusing on the irons that felt and performed the best, after hitting about every players iron on the market. These irons are as pure and soft at impact as any blade on the market and the tungsten weighting is creating a CG that is as consistent as you ’ ll find anywhere. Can not recommend these irons heavily enough. They are simply pure and consistent for the skilled golfer.

5 Freddy K
I am thrilled with these clubs. I have always been a fan of Callaway products but these clubs are just amazing. Great control and a buttery smooth feeling at impact and the distance is great. It ’s also a nice looking club! All I have to say is just swing them and you will be making them your next purchase.

I bought these Elyte X irons a few weeks ago are the ones I ’ ve been looking for the last two years. They ’ re everything I ’ ve been looking for, long and accurate and they ’ re beautiful on top of thatt.

5 2011blaster
I got fitted for these back in May after recovering from a back injury. I was n't hitting my Mizuno 223 as well after the injury, needed something easier to hit at a slower swing speed. Over a couple of months I 've found the Elyte X are just friendly clubs to hit. Using Denali graphite shafts, and the feel is surprisingly good for a hollow club. Despite the strong lofts, they launch nicely and hold greens well which is what surprises me the most. My only complaints are that they are chunky behind the ball, but that may be reassuring to a higher handicapper. Genuinely happy with these clubs! I 'm itching to go back to Mizuno, but not because these are

5 Kristian19
Purchased this 5i to go with the 6- AW set I bought. These irons are great and forgiving. Was able to order it customized with the grips I use.

5 cal63
I typically do n't leave reviews, so if I 'm doing this then it must be for something special. I 'm a senior, 63 yo with a pretty good game still- 7- iron is about 145- 150 and driver is around 225. I 've had a hard time finding clubs that fit me- either the regular flex is a tad to heavy, or the senior flex is just not right due to either the flex or weight, and sometime I feel the larger heads do n't suit my game, but on the other hand I want all the help and forgiveness I can get. I want my irons to go far, travel straight, be lightweight, comfortable and easy to swing, and I want them to be consistent. Good looking is nice, but performance is the most important thing to me, I 'll sacrifice pretty much anything as long as the clubs do what I want them to. Not to imply these are not good looking- I think they look great, but better yet the performance is off the charts for me. I have the 55g Denali 5. 0 light flex shafts and they 're absolutely perfect for me. I can really swing these pretty hard and go after the ball with no worries, but they do n't feel too stiff either( unlike the Aldila Ascent 50g senior flex shafts which are like boards!) When you make pure contact there's like a `` crunch '' and then you feel the ball compress and look up in admiration and wonder `` did I just hit that? '' These things go really high, and really far. I 've had turf interaction trouble in the past with larger oversized heads on SGI irons, but not so with the Elyte X irons- in fact for the first time ever I feel I can really hit down on the ball without fear of digging or hitting it fat, the ball just gets up. I 'm usually a picker of the ball, but not so with these- hit down and it will go up! I 'm loving these clubs a lot- most actual game improving set I 've ever bought- they are really making a significant difference in my game and it's a lot more fun!

5 Jimmy jam

I replaced my older boxed- set irons with the Elyte Max Fast 5, 7, 8 and PW and my distances increased significantly. The most satisfying change though is in accuracy and consistency. Nothing feels better than finally being able to put the golf ball on the fairway!

5 SM212136
I glad I decided to test these irons, there are several different shafts available what I thought I should use was not what I purchased. Having the right shaft made a huge difference. I am very satisfied with the purchase.

5 Milo 11111111
I bought these clubs a few weeks ago and have played a few rounds, immediately seeing an improvement in my game. after the clubs were fitted to me, the length, flex, grip and head angle are all correct now and my short game is better than i could have expected. I love the look, feel and performance of the clubs and I would highly recommend these clubs to my friends and family.

I had the previous generation of CB wedges and went to the Opus when they came out. Although a decent club they weren ’ t a good fit for me. When I saw these released I knew what I had to do. I needed to redo the lofts in my bag anyway so decided to pull the trigger and get the CB12s. So happy I did. The are so much more forgiving than the Opus. Yes, it is still possible to hit a bad shot, but I feel like it happens so rarely now due to the grind and forgiveness of the face. I would highly recommend these if you aren ’ t the best wedge player.

I recently moved to CO a couple years ago from San Diego. I struggled in the altitude holding greens, especially in the late fall and winter, since I used a lower spin ball and lower flighted clubs. These clubs increased my spin and my ball flight so even my 4iron in has chance to hold. They also cut the turf really well so you can feel the speed in and out of grass. Also, the feel on these are amazing only rivaled to Mizuno's IMO and the new Taylormade P7CB which I had an opportunity to try. Lastly and most importantly, these clubs are very consistent. I owned Taylormade P770's and I would get a lot of hot low spinning balls hitting my 6, 5, 4 irons. These irons output stable and consistent based on your strike. The offer some help in the heel but most of the help in the toe miss, I 've found. Highly recommend these. I was thinking about getting the older T300 irons, but decided to do a fitting. At the fitting I was able to swing them as well as these, and I 'm glad I did. Ended up deciding on these, have played 3 rounds with them, and have already seen a big improvement in my iron play. I am still a higher handicap player, but these are the most forgiving irons I have hit, and it shows on the course. Would recommend to any other higher handicap player.

5 Nickname 007
I am a 7. 2 handicap. Hit these clubs and fell in love with them. They look fantastic and have a nice feel without the harsh sound that some hollow body clubs produce. They are strong lofted so they are about 7- 8 yards longer than my previous set but still have enough spin and height to stop on the greens. I was torn between this club and the T200 and considered go with a mixed bag but in the end decided to go with the full set of T350's. My dispersion and distance control have met all my expectations. One thing to keep in mind is if you like to work the ball in either direction this may not be the right club for you and I would look at the T150's. Spin numbers and descent angle are good but not in player club territory IMO.

I realize the amount of R& D that went into these and the hope to recoup monies but the only people buying these are rich, old guys. I did a combo set with the p770's and p7cb's. I went 8 iron thru pitching wedge for the p7cbs. They are very easy to hit, and I do n't think these irons are limited to only low handicappers. You can feel mishits, but they are not overly punishing. Very easy to hit draws and cuts. I might even end up swapping my 7 iron to the p7cbs with as easy as they are to hit.

5 Dave65
I worked with Scott for two sessions. I would n't say that I brought my best swing to these sessions. But, Scott has a good eye and he understands the data my trial shots provided. My concern for my swing was unnecessary. The first day I went to the range with my P7CBs, I found the shape of the club head made it so easy to line up and the feel of the ball coming off the face at impact felt so controlled. I know that Scott put together a set of clubs well suited to me. I would recommend Golf Galaxy for their wide range of equipment and Scott for his expertise and good nature.

I tried the paradigm smoke irons and I just could not hit them consistently. So I traded them in, which is a fantastic feature of Callaway, on the new Apex I 300. Oh my goodness, what a tremendous upgrade this was for me. These forged irons in a game improvement iron are indescribable perfect in every respect. They are long, and most of all they are incredibly accurate. I applaud the efforts of Callaway to find an iron suitable for my swing. They can do the same for you. Love my new Apex irons!!!!

5 Doc74
Just ordered the Ai300 irons with LA 45 shafts. The ball speed, height, forgiveness, spin, and distance were incredible. I also tested the Ai200 irons which were close but not as good for me as the Ai300. The feel was also awesome. I am a senior player with physical limitations and slow swing speed but they really worked for me. I have tried all the other major brands this year and the Ai300s worked best.

5 Trey
These clubs are so good! I ’ m a 12 handicap and shoot anywhere from 84- 90 depending on course. First time using these I shot a 79 and I give all credit to the clubs. I thinned so many shots but they still launched!

5 JayDV
There have been 3 game changing irons in my golfing journey. Ping Eye2s, the 1994 Callaway Big Berthas and now the Callaway AI300s. Perfect amount of offset and topline that breeds confidence. You 're not going to work the ball from left to right( for righties) but you can flight the balk.. even for us amateurs. What really sets this set from others is the superior weighting and feel. My set is 2° up and a half inch over standard length. Distance and launch angles were perfect. Traded in T350s for the set.

The King Tours are an absolute delight. The look amazing behind the ball and they feel great when striking the ball. Most CB or MB look a bit larger behind the ball, the King Tours have all the advantages of added technology without sacrificing on looks. I love them. They do come just a tad bit on the pricier end, but it ’s comparable to other CB/MB Orion sets.

I purchased the Ping G730 irons about a month ago. I ’ m 71 and had lost some distance with my old irons. I like the feel of Ping Irons and they have certainly added some distance that had been missing

5 GuyR
I bought the 5- UW set this year, moving away from a set of Callaways( which I loved). What made me switch was the design, feel, and performance of the irons. The ball jumped off the face and felt very solid at contact. I noticed a slight increase in distance, and they felt a little more forgiving. I opted for the stiff graphite shaft to accommodate my higher swing speed. Definitely recommend the G730s.

high quality iron set. These are for the better ball striker, which honestly I lack at times. I fell in love with the MBs, but I could never get comfy with CBs as much. Mishits can be punishing, but they remind me a lot of the irons I grew up on.

We bought this set for our high school daughter who is learning to golf. It is trendy enough for a good look and provides all the clubs needed to learn the game. Very nice beginner set.

5 Karen
Love them. The driver sails much further than my other set. The rest of the clubs are forgiving and I hit straighter. The putter is heavier than my last so the ball goes further, but I adjusted easily

5 Kmichelleo
I ’ m super pleased with the quality and function of the REVA. My game has improved dramatically. Plus they ’ re beautiful, lightweight clubs.

5 Old lady golfer
I am really enjoying the clubs, I ’ m able to hit straighter and farther than with my old ones. The fit is perfect, no need to cut them down( I am only 5 feet tall). I love the bag, and how easily it attaches to the cart.

Frequently Asked Questions For Cavity Back Golf Clubs

Cavity back golf clubs are designed with a hollowed-out back that helps distribute weight around the perimeter of the clubhead. This design increases forgiveness on off-center hits, making it easier for golfers to achieve better accuracy and distance. In contrast, blade-style clubs have a solid back and are typically favored by more experienced players for their control and feedback.

Cavity back golf clubs are ideal for a wide range of golfers, particularly beginners and high-handicap players. Their forgiving design helps improve consistency and confidence, making it easier to hit straighter shots. However, even intermediate players may benefit from their enhanced performance on mis-hits.

Cavity back golf clubs are often made from materials like stainless steel or forged steel, which provide durability and a solid feel. Some models may incorporate advanced materials such as titanium or composite materials to enhance performance and reduce weight. The choice of material can affect the club's feel, sound, and overall performance.

Cavity back golf clubs enhance performance by offering greater forgiveness and a larger sweet spot, which helps golfers achieve better results even on off-center hits. For beginners, this means more consistent distance and accuracy, while intermediate players can benefit from the added confidence to swing more freely. The design allows for a balance of playability and control, catering to various skill levels.

When choosing cavity back golf clubs, consider factors such as the club's loft, shaft material, and flex to match your swing style and strength. Additionally, pay attention to the club's weight distribution and overall feel, as these can impact your performance. It's also helpful to test different models to find the one that feels most comfortable and suits your playing style.

Yes, cavity back golf clubs are versatile and can be used in various golfing conditions and styles. They perform well on different types of courses, from links to parkland, and are suitable for a range of playing styles, whether you're a casual weekend golfer or someone who plays more competitively. Their forgiving nature makes them adaptable to changing conditions and skill levels.
