Originally purchased the STX Men's Cell Lacrosse Shoulder Pads, but when my son( 16 yr old high school player) tried them on, he found that every time he lifted his arms, the entire pads lifted up and the velcro portions started to open up- overall, they restricted his movement too much. Would have been nice since the STX pads appear to offer more protection for the arms, but we went with this Maverick pad because he had better movement and he is happy with the Maverick EKG speed pad after wearing for a month.
