I am in my mid 70's so my swing is not what it used to be( a low single digit handicap 25 years ago is now about 14). A fitting plus some work with a launch monitor suggested that I 'd benefit from lighter clubs and softer shafts. The Cobra F- MAX Superlite Irons are just what the doctor ordered. They have lightweight graphite shafts( senior flex), somewhat weaker lofts than most modern irons and even have softer midsize grips that are ideal if you have arthritus problems. I find that I hit them about 5- 10 yards further than my old irons( Ping G410's) and more importantly hit them more consistently. The final positive was price. At$ 450 these clubs are a terrific bargain. If you are in the market for `` old man '' clubs, these Cobras are a good choice.

I bought this set for my 15 year old that had recently taken up golf. I liked that the set had two hybrids replacing two long irons. I watched a video of a pro from 2nd Swing Golf hit shots with three different Cobra models including this model. This model performed similarly to models that cost twice as much. I took a few swings with the 7 iron and 5 hybrid and they seemed as good as my Pings.

I got back into golfing after a ~15 hiatus. I was having trouble hitting my longer irons, so I purchased a set of one length Cobras. I appreciate that I only have one setup and swing for all irons. It did n't make me instantly better, but it lowered the learning curve so I could start improving at a faster rate. Highly recommended for any new or returning golfers like myself.
