After receiving my coat, we had some downright frigid temperatures with high winds and my body never felt a thing! This coat is thin and light but do n't let that fool you! The Velcro tabs along the zipper and on the sleeve cuffs are very strong too which make for a secure fit. The jacket material feels very durable as well. I have n't worn it in the rain, but I 'm sure it will pass that test perfectly as well. The jacket is true to size and being a woman with a pear- shape body, the bottom portion of the coat fits perfectly- not snug, not baggy. Overall, this is just the perfect jacket for cooler weather temps.

I had acquired a different coat from another prominent company based in Maine to remain nameless, but it was surprisingly not warm at all. [ I am 5' 8, 160lbs and I ordered the large and it will be perfect with layers to stay warm on the slopes. The arms are long which is perfect for me. The belt is functional which I was concerned about from reading other reviews, and it's a nice detail to add some form. Slightly disappointed in the color as it is definitely more of a purplish blue than a royal blue as I thought from the photos.
