[ I needed waterproof trail running shoes for winter runs. I 'm very careful about proper shoe fit and function since my runs typically are about five miles, three days a week. These were very comfy right out of the box! I wore them, with yaktrax cleats, on a 5. 5 mile trail run, 450 foot elevation gain, and mostly snow, slush, mud and mud puddles on top of rocky terrain. The shoes were the best! My feet stayed warm and dry, the shoes felt sturdy and yet allowed my feet to flex for up hill and down hill running; Plenty of space in the toe box. This is my second pair of Konos TRS shoes and they are just as comfortable as the ones I bought last year. Taupe color is exactly as pictured and fits true to size. I 've walked trails and sidewalks in these shoes and have no foot pain and my feet stay put, no sliding in the shoe and no heel slips. Easy to clean up if they get dirty on a trail. Suggestions: wear ankle socks the first couple wears to break them in, I wore no- shows the first wear and had some uncomfortable rubbing on my achilles till about the 3rd wear.

I 've had 3 pair of Montrails since my first pair in 2001 and have loved the brand. Was excited when I discovered these and found them recommended in Runner's World Mag this year. They are light, bouncy, and really plush for a trail running shoe. Great build quality. I would say they 're soft like the Pegasus Trail 4 but with a lower stack. Just completed a 5 mi trail run and they made the run fun. I think they 're best suited for non technical with moderately smooth trails with gravel and roots. I 'd use a harder and more stable shoe if I was traversing rocks and big roots. Looking forward to running my next half marathon in them with absolutely no concerns. They are waterproof and best of all they are cool during the hot summers of south Louisiana because of their breathability properties. The most comfortable boot I 've ever worn, kept my feet warm and dry, and I look forward to wearing them over other shoes. If they made these in a solid Coyote Brown color I 'd buy them over and over for my uniform wear. Better than any tactical boot I 've worn over the last 9 years.

[ Great fit. Good arch support. Color is a bit more blue than expected, but still looks good with gum colored sole. Originally bought a size 13 as I 'm normally a 12. 5. Was way too big. Returned for a 12 and the fit is great.

[ I bought these boots to wear while I ’ m walking the dogs or using the snowblower. And also to wear when I go up to the ski mountain or sledding with the grandkids. They are nice in formed fitting and are not big or clunky at all. They are also very warm. There is room to wear some cozy socks too. I usually wear a size 8 1/2 or 9 and I ordered a size 9. Really easy to lace up.

[ The tread is amazing. The look is so cute, they are comfortable but definitely snug. I would absolutely size up especially if you want thicker socks. They are warm, been wearing them in icy and snowy conditions.
