Able to wear them traveling all day and be comfortable but they do make my feet sweat a lot. The green color is nice but impossible to keep clean. I bought this boot about a month ago to replace a previous model I had from Salomon. It was the closest to the Vaya. Feel is great overall, however the size is about 1/2 size too small. Ordered same size my old pair. That is the only complaint. I was a 6. 5 in the Vaya and believe a 7 in these would have been better. They are super light weight, rugged, super water resistant too

I took these on my rafting trip down the GRAND CANYON. I brought them for the side hikes from the river. Which are usually washes with some water crossings. These shoes did so well! They have incredible traction for climbing over big rocks in dry washes, or on slick ledges. The traction is incredible! They were comfortable right off the go and my custom orthotics fit in then since they have a removable foot bed. I loved these boots on the trip! Completely waterproof over the foot but if water gets up to the mid part where the laces are water does come in. I am going to look for a goretex hiking gater for that.

These are the third pair of this shoe I 've purchased- that's how much I love them. It looks good and feels great from the shopping mall to the hiking trail. I ca n't attest to their waterproof- worthiness, but I can tell you that the foot bed is slightly padded and the toe box is perfect for the wider foot. I can definitely walk for miles in these with zero discomfort. The color of this shoe is interesting; it's not a true purple but is more of a purple- taupe and looks great paired with almost any other color. This shoe definitely stands out in a crowd!
