[ Just took this bag on a 12 day trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in Mew Mexico. On the nights when the temperatures dipped into the 30s, this bag kept me very comfortable when zipped up properly. On warmer nights, I unzipped the bag about 30 percent to let a little air in. The best part was that the bag is extremely light and compress down very small in a compression sack to take up very little room in my backpack and could even be clipped on to the outside of the pack without any noticeable swinging while I hiked.

[ Note: I have not field tested this bag, but tried it at home and have three other sleeping bags: a WM 5 degree, MH 15 degree, and another Marmot Phase 15. I was excited to try this, as have always loved the Marmot bags for quality and warmth. I 'm a stomach sleeper, and the idea of having a central zip for ease of in/out and minimal zipper appealed to me. However, although the bag is incredibly warm, the zipper is too short for any real venting, and no foot box zipper or venting. This contributes to it's exceedingly warm ration, but I decided that for the price, I would pass and keep my other Marmot side zippered bag. If you want a very warm, well made bag and do n't mind the short central zipper, and no ability to really vent the bag( i. e., a longer central zipper at least), then by all means get this!

At six feet tall, 180 pounds, 34 waist, large hips and broad shoulders, I had plenty of room to sleep on my back and side. I had no problem with length even with my air pillow tucked into the hood. The temperature rating on the bag felt good in 30°F weather, keeping me nice and warm, paired with a sleeping pad rated at 4. 1 R value. A nice soft feel and glow in the dark zipper pulls are also good bonuses.

[ I was n't sure how this bag would work out, but so far it's super. It really is designed as described. It's quite roomy, allows one to turn and side sleep and is definitely warm enough. The best part is that my Standard Manchester Terriers( one or both) can snuggle in as well. That was the whole point of the purchase. They do n't fit as well in my other bags but they are fine in this one.

[ I have spent almost a dozen nights in my 20- degree Trestles and I think it's great, especially when nights are in the 55 to 35- degree range. I have used it backpacking, rafting and car camping. There is plenty of hip and torso room, the zipper system is great, it's plenty roomy for me: I 'm 5- 10& 165. It becomes a warm mummy and I 'm confident with long underwear and a hat it's warm below freezing. The bag stuffs very small for a synthetic bag but retains loft well. Packs small, lightweight, and reasonable price. It has a lot of loft and is very cozy. I sleep comfortably in it down to 40 degrees and add a liner to get to the mid- 30's, so it serves me well 3 seasons. I took this bag with me for a climbing trip down in bishop. The long bag is the perfect length for me( I 'm 6' 1) and provides plenty of width in essential areas like the shoulders and leg area. Temperatures on my trip gradually decreased as my trip went on, starting at 30- degree nights and dropping down to 18- degree nights towards the end of the trip. I would say the comfortability range is around the 27 to 30- degree mark. Once it dropped below 25, I started to get a little colder. If you want to use this bag in sub- 30- degree weather, I would recommend a fleece and a hoodie to make it a more comfortable night. Overall, this is a great bag and it did not disappoint. The tech specs advertised were pretty spot on as far as temperature rating. If you 're looking for a good sleeping bag for an affordable price, this is the one.

After hours of research, I decided on and purchased the Nemo Tempo 20 men ’s regular spoon sleeping bag specifically for our trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks as we car camped for 5 nights. While it was mid- May, night temps can drop into the low 30 ’s. Admittedly, I made my purchase from a third party, as I was skeptical about the quality and warmth factor. I am a 5 ’ 8 ” woman and wanted to be sure I had enough length to be comfortable so I opted for the men ’s Tempo. The fit was great and it was very comfortable. Didn ’ t bind or twist when I repositioned throughout the night. But the most important thing is it kept me very warm. Nighttime temps dipped into mid- 30 ’s. I only wore base layer leggings and top, no socks and my feet stayed toasty warm. In fact, I got so warm that I had to unzip the bag to regulate my body temp. It is well made and performs as advertised. It exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend Nemo Tempo 20!

[ Leveled up from my old synthetic sleeping bag to down and am super happy so far. It ’s so cozy and packs down small. I love that there ’s room for me to turn any which way and curl my legs up in this bag, it is much less constricting than a typical mummy bag. I did find that the bag didn ’ t really move with me the way I expected it to for side sleeping, so I found the hood section kind of in my way at some points. It wasn ’ t too cold so I just kept my head out and used that part as a pillow of sorts. I did also notice a bit of shedding of feathers and hope that will remain minimal over time. So far I ’ ve used it for two nights in about 40deg weather and was very warm.

It OPENS on the bottom to stick your feet out. This is why I bought it. I ca n't stand sleeping without sticking my feet out to breathe lol. [ I brought this sleeping bag with me on my thru- hike of the Pacific Crest Trail last summer. I slept in it for 150 nights and never let me down! Great balance between weight, warmth, and price. However, I found it very narrow. I like to sleep with my legs forming a figure 4 shape, but it was impossible to do in this bag. I also rotate like a rotisserie chicken during the night and I got tangled in it a few times. A little bit cold when temperatures drop towards 0°C, especially when the bottom of the bag is exposed, as it is less insulated than the top. I had to wear my puffy for those nights or wrap it around my bum to keep it warm. Finally, I found it a bit bulky but it is overall a great product! I would recommend it to thru- hikers on a budget or anyone going on shorter trips.

I wanted something I could use during the early camping season in the high country and desert of the Four Corners Region and this works perfectly. I have a double wide 30 degree sleeping bag that I use and in the early spring it still gets cold in the lower mountains. Even in the desert there are cold nights and Im tired of sleeping in my skiing base layers these nights. I 've used this liner three times now and love it. The first time was in early April in the desert and it got down to 42 at night. I was very comfortable in the sleeping bag by myself with the liner on. It was a little difficult in the middle of the night when nature called but I managed. The second time I used this was around the end of April and beginning of May at an elevation of 7, 000 and lows of high 40's. Once again it worked great and was easier to use in the middle of the night. The key was to fully release the feet cord. The last time I used it was just a week ago in the desert with lows of mid 50's. This time I used my hammock& blankets along with the liner. I was warm and comfortable all night. Overall I love this liner and it meets all my needs for a comfortable nights sleep.

I have a 4runner that I am able to sleep in with plenty of room so I got the Basecamp bag to use in it. The bag is very big with plenty of wiggle room, which is important to me since I flip and flopp around at night. There is also space for the next days clothes I can keep in the bag. The zippers allow for the bag to open in various configurations.- 1°c and I was toasty warm. P.s. I sleep with two windows open that i mesh over for that fresh air feeling.

[ Awesome bag. Super roomy. I like the strap attachments for my sleeping pad. It keeps it flat. I can roll around without getting tangled. I love the ability to open it on either side and the bottom to vent if I get warm. I have slept in it around 30 degrees amd in the 50's and was super comfortable. I have n't opened it to quilt yet, but maybe this will put my summer bag to rest. It packs down nice, considering how wide it is. The down is lofty and has no smell. No regrets.
