Just used for the first time. My son loved it. It did n't necessarily get very cold during the nights, but it was brisk. He stayed warm and the mummy hood kept his pillow in place. This is the 5th Trestles I 've bought for my family. It's just the right compromise on weight, warmth, and cost for high alpine trips into the Beartooth Mountains. All of them have been used in expedition weight tents, so they have been easily warm enough. This year I bought a Marmot Force ultralight backpacking tent and put my Trestles to the test of its limits. It performed admirably even with the drafty nature of ultralight tents. We had a couple of windy nights down into the 30's, which get a laugh from expedition weight 4- season tents, but I mummy'ed up in my Trestles 15 and was amazed at the comfort, roominess, and functionality!! I would n't still be buying them and on number 5 if it were n't for the great performance.

I bought this sleeping bag for warmer weather where my 10 degree bag would be too uncomfortable. I figured to test the bag to its rating to get an idea of its performance. Weather said low for the night would be 45, so perfect time to test. I used this in a Kelty Tanglewood 2, with an Extremus( R- value 3. 0) sleeping pad and a very thin ozark trail sleeping bag liner. Had lightweight nylon pants and a lightweight sweatshirt on. The temperature got down to 37 and I was not cold, not super warm but with the shoulder draw string tightened up I was comfortable. I would n't take it much colder than that. I sleep a little on the warm side so that may have helped, but to me the sleeping bag lives up to the rating.

It got really cold and I took this sleeping bag outside and when we were camping out looking at the stars this sleeping bag is so comfortable. My husband and I were able to snuggle up inside of it and it was not cold at all. We were able to lay out the ground comfortably and not feel any of the rocks on the floor. I got this in black and gray. The sleeping bag measures 75inches long and 31inches wide. This is definitely big and long enough for many adults. I like it that the sleeping bag has two zips on the opposite ends. I can unzip the top and also the bottom but still has the middle part zipped. The sleeping bag is good for temperature of 50F, not lower. The material is soft and smooth which is very comfortable to sleep in.

[ I was n't sure how this bag would work out, but so far it's super. It really is designed as described. It's quite roomy, allows one to turn and side sleep and is definitely warm enough. The best part is that my Standard Manchester Terriers( one or both) can snuggle in as well. That was the whole point of the purchase. Great bag! Exactly what I 've been looking for as a tall side sleeper but more importantly as someone who changes sides during the night. Upgraded from a competitor's bag which was catered to side sleepers, but had less insulation on the' back'. When I would roll in the night the bag would come with me, and would end with the less insulated side covering my backside. Looking forward to using it in much colder weather, but would also give kudos as the overlapping insulation and ability to unzip at the bottom made it comfortable on a milder night in Olympic National Park last weekend. Only critique is that the bag which it comes with does n't have cinch straps. With one I had from Sea to Summit I was able to get it to a much smaller size than the standard pack bag. Would purchase one for this specific bag if it was available.

This is a lightweight yet surprisingly warm sleeping bag. I love that it is long which is great for my son and husband who are 6 ” 3.
