My husband and I have used these for hiking with our Twins since they were 1, now 2 1/2. We mostly use them for day hiking all year around. Our Toddlers try to get into the Carriers by themselves before we are even ready to get them in. They love being on our backs and find it easy to take a nap on our way back down from a summit. Some things that stand out for me; Everything is adjustable, shoulder straps, torso and the hip belt, making it fit your body height and type. This makes carrying a heavy baby or toddler a lot easier. I 'm 5'3, I 've been carrying my son who is almost 40 pounds. The actual straps and saddle for the child is adjustable to your child's height as well. They have spent 2 3 hours in the carriers with breaks in between to walk around and eat snacks. They always seam comfortable. Storage; Lot's of storage. It fits all our toddler essentials, food, water, plus a heavy camera or drone. Very supportive; padding in all the right places!

We bought this bike seat for my 2 year old, to attach to my hybrid mountain bike. The seat is much sturdier than I expected for the money. Also includes several harness straps to hold the kid tight, and he seems to be comfortable. It did however take some wrangling to attach the mounts to the seat bolts on my bike since it is not the standard post- type... after that it has worked great on several rides!

[ Our family of five loves getting outdoors. We have six year old twins and a 15 month old and we had tried to carry the 15 month old in a strap on baby carrier but she was just getting too big. We switched up to this Kelty Perfectfit. I 've owned dozens of Kelty tents, bags, and shelters over the years and had nothing but great quality from the product line so this was a no- brainer. We tried a few other models at a local sporting good stores but but I 'd say the `` saddle '' on this model is far superior. There's just so much room for our little one to relax in. What we love about it is that it's versatile. Both my wife and I both can put it on and it does n't require a second person. The weight distributes well over the hips so that at the end of the day your back is n't in pain. It's got so much space for carrying things that we actually thought we lost a phone but it was just lost in the cavernous cargo space. I 'm going to start off by saying I love Burley products. I 've had a trailer for 8 years that works/looks like brand new and it's on its 3rd kid. I had a Tail Wagon for my Golden before that. The Infant Insert works as described which is why I 'm giving it 5 stars despite us personally not being able to use it. I happen to have a baby that does not like the laying down position of the insert. Also be aware that the insert position puts the baby's legs past the front of the trailer. But! As I mentioned I love Burley so I 'm literally buying the Baby Snuggler now. Every baby is different and mine likes to be more upright.

For context, she's a very happy baby, approx. 13lbs at this point. Loves the car seat and is a great traveler. Not sure if it's the shoulder straps that are bugging her, but she does n't last very long in the insert. If I go more than 1. 5miles( 30mins), the walk typically ends in her crying. The seat installs easily. Beware that if your top tube is heavily tapered, the rods won ’ t lift the seat high enough to clear the rear tire. We couldn ’ t install it on my wife ’s COOP DRT 1. 1 but it works great on my Cannondale Trail 2. Lookup pictures online and you ’ ll see what I mean about how low the bracket had to mount on her bike. Our daughter loves it. We got it because we have other Burley equipment and were upgrading from a front- mounted to a rear- mounted setup as our daughter got older and hence, taller. With a helmet on she can turn her head comfortably. We opted for the recliner thinking she may sleep in it, but she hasn ’ t yet. Hopefully someday she does. We rode green singletrack( El Dorado at Post Canyon, Hood River, Oregon) with it and it handled it. Bottom line, you ’ re going to like it.

This is a very good product, you can tell everything about it was thoughtfully designed. The bars flex just enough to provide a comfortable ride. My son likes it a lot and will hit me in the back to encourage me to ride faster. It does change the balance of your bike and it is a little awkward to load a child in and brace your bike at the same time. A trailer would probably be bit more comfortable but this is less than half the cost. I anticipate this product making a great gift in a few years after I 'm done.

Very well designed and well made. Cargo area behind seats is big enough for a couple bags of groceries. Independently reclining seats is a great for kids of different ages. Ability to convert from trailer to stroller in seconds is a huge feature for running errands and not wanting to take kids out of their seats just to run into a store for a few things. Absolutely love our D ’ lite burley. Little bubs can ’ t quite sit up alone so we bought the extra sitting cushions, they really made a difference in support for our 5 month old. We only have one baby but am planning on another in a couple years so we got the two seater. I thought it might be a little heavy as a stroller but I can maneuver it up a couple stairs to get off the front deck just fine and I can load it in to the back of the truck without help from my husband. We haven ’ t hooked it up to a bike just yet, we will probably attach the ski gear for some snowshoeing first because winter is almost here. To be honest we got all the bells and whistles for each season all at once so we could get out of the house each season without having to wait for deliveries. We have used it as a stroller most but look forward to its versatility. I almost got the cub I think it was, but decided against it since the cub isn ’ t “ hike ” compatible. ie the cub wasn ’ t compatible with the 16 inch wheels. For the trails we plan on going I thought it would probably be best to be able to use the 16 inch wheels. The D ’ lite doesn ’ t have the hard plastic bottom like the cub, but instead is a little lighter by like 9lbs and is compatible with the hiking wheels. It can be a bit of an investment upfront but it was totally worth it being able to get out in any season with the bubs and have the space to pack the “ just in case extras ” to help make outings easier!

Bike use: So far so good! My husband and I have had our burley d- lite x for a couple of months and overall we are very happy with the design. First I must state that we immediately went to the 16 ” off- road tires. Our first use was on a flat paved trail. Our biggest concern is safety and I must say I was a little worried about the way the flex connector works. Once I tried it, I can completely lay my bike down with no rotating force on the burley. This immediately calmed my fears( so much so that the ball- style attachment that I ordered is still in its packaging.) The thru- axle mount seems very sturdy and the safety strap just adds confidence. I love how the front hooks in with the yellow clips! I do not like that the plastic rain cover( wind shield) does not end up tight like the competition. Stroller use:(** handle slips!!**) We also purchased the 1 wheel jogging stroller attachment. I went into this thinking, “ we already have a very nice stroller ”. But after trying this unit in grass. I was in love with this as a stroller. But! This is not without one downside that I feel could use a huge improvement. The handle tightens using a plastic gear — tooth design. From the factory, this handle won ’ t latch tight enough to stay fixed. I think this mechanism needs to be upgraded in the dlite x v2

Bought the seat for my toddler so we could share some fresh air while keeping socially distant. The installation took less than twenty minutes and taking the seat on and off as needed is a breeze. Riding with my son on the back is as good as can be expected, though standing up from the saddle to get up a hill is not something I can recommend as the seat whips as the bike rocks back and forth.

We bought the Yep Nexxt Maxi a couple months ago for my two year old daughter. She absolutely loves it. The construction is solid and the frame mounting provides a good amount of shock absorption. I really like it too. Unlike the front mounted seat we have before, it has no impact on my riding style and does not interfere with stopping and starting when riding in traffic. The harness is great, but you have to make sure you get it tight around the legs before snugging around the shoulders, or the shoulders can become loose as the webbing around the legs tightens. The foot holders are fantastic. They hold tight during the ride and prevent errant kicking and are east to secure and remove.

It has a really wonderful adjuster system that allows for your child to grow and still be secure and comfortable. The feet straps AND the magnetic buckles are especially easy. We purchased a second base, and think this is a great strategy to not be tied to one bicycle if you and your partner have a different size bike! The one constructive feedback is it can be a little bouncy for baby down hill because of its attachment. Acceleration and upwards baby is very stable.
