I recently purchased the Callaway Chrome Soft golf balls from Golf Galaxy, and I ’ ve really enjoyed playing with them. The feel of these balls is amazing, especially around the greens, where they provide excellent feedback and control. They also feel great off the putter, which is a big plus for me. While I didn ’ t notice significant improvements in distance compared to other golf balls I ’ ve used, the Chrome Soft delivers on its promise of low spin and consistent performance. It ’s comparable to the TaylorMade Tour Response in terms of feel, but I felt the Chrome Soft had slightly lower spin and equally solid driving distance.

I 've used these for the last 4- 5 full rounds, plus a lot of putter practice and testing. I can objectively say based on some on- course testing and some putting green testing that my strokes- gained is better for both ball- striking and putting with this ball over the 2023 Pro V1( yellow) or the regular 2023 yellow Maxfli Tour. My driving is better, wedges are better, and most importantly for my overall scoring based on how I 've played the last year, my iron play with these is vastly improved. I have worn these out more than I 've lost them, which is a testament to how straight they are off the tee... but by wearing them out, I mean that after I play 18 holes with them, I 'm still getting more use out of a ball as a simulator ball, putting green ball, etc.

Tried the S ball recently. Usually play the Tour X. Both are great, but wanted to try the lower spin S to find more fairways with the driver. I do feel like I have found more fairways but a bit shorter than the X. Really just need to find you best fit. All the Maxfli Tour balls are great. Check out MyGolfSpy. com ball lab for confirmation.

Recently in a trackman simulator tested 2023 Maxfli Tour, 2025 Pro V1 and 2025 Maxfli Tour S. The 2025 S almost as soft as the Pro V1. Carry and ball speed better than the Maxfli Tour 2023 and on par with with the Pro V1. 66 years old, driver swing speed 92 mph. Maxfli Tour S is perfect. However, very disappointed they removed the dot for 2025. Bad move. Bad decision. That was iconic for the Maxfli. However, the Maxfli Tour S the performance and cost is the perfect ball.

I switched from the ProV1X to the Chrome Tour this winter and spring. Definitely noticed there is less spin on my drives, allowing for more consistency and distance. Even better when playing in windy conditions. The Chrome Tours still provides plenty of spin coming onto the greens. I like the fact that when playing from tight lies, the Tours back up generally 5ft to 10ft vs 10ft to 20ft with the ProV1X. The Tours fit my game best!

Honestly, this is my all time favorite golf ball. The Chrome Tour golf ball is a real game- changer. First off, the distance is amazing. Whether I 'm using a driver or my longer irons, it seems to just fly – consistently long, with a nice, piercing ball flight that cuts through the wind. I ’ ve noticed extra yards off the tee, and I can count on a solid roll when it hits the fairway. Also, this ball spins a lot on short irons into the green. The workability is another highlight. The ball feels responsive, and I can shape my shots with ease. Whether I ’ m trying to hit a fade or a draw, I have full control. It just feels great in my hands, especially when I 'm making those more touchy shots under pressure. But what really impresses me is the short game spin. Around the greens, it ’s fantastic. I can get my chips and pitches to check up quickly, even on firmer greens. The ball just grabs and holds, which gives me a ton of confidence when I ’ m trying to stop a wedge shot close to the hole. The biggest thing I noticed was how it spins on the greens from flop shots. I like to hit lop shots, and this ball execedds my expatitions for spin on flop shots. All in all, the Chrome Tour has really stepped up my game. It offers great distance, solid workability, and incredible spin around the greens. The feel is a bit firmer than most balls which I like. Definitely a ball I ’ ll keep in my bag.

Started playing Callaway balls with the Chrome Soft XLS a few years ago, and loved the low spin performance off the tee. I 'd say it gave me 10- 15 yards less left/right dispersion on mishits, compared to other premium golf balls on the market at the time. Being a high speed/high spin player( 5 handicap, 175 ball speed), keeping the ball straight off the tee is my biggest lever for scoring well. However, CS XLS was definitely on the firm side of feel, and I was hoping for a softer version. Chrome Tour is absolutely the answer!!! Same low spin performance off the tee with soft feel around the greens, wo n't play anything else these days.( Sidenote, pretty cool how the Callaway manufacturing process protects the Truvis/Trutrack stampings by printing below the final outer layer, which keeps the designs looking fresh even after playing a few rounds! One of the guys in the foursome said `` that ball is making me dizzy '' when I was putting it. So on the back 9 I switched to the Chrome Soft Practice. I 've used a number of golf balls in my golfing career usually opting for the cheaper ones. I 'm a high single digit index and that has worked for me for quite a while. I decided to try these as they are a step up from what I normally use not expecting much difference. I was surprised. I like the soft feel and I do n't feel like I 've lost any distance( over the Velocity's). The added benefit is that I 'm getting more spin now. Of course that means I have to learn how to control and use that spin.

Chrome Tour performs extremely well for all aspects of my game. Its long off the tee and long irons, with plenty of spin greenside to be able to play more aggressively. All this while maintaining a relatively soft feel( not as soft as Chrome Soft, but still soft). Just played my 2nd full round with these balls after having played the standard Tour since 2021. The feel is very similar to the Tour, though it definitely feels softer off the putter. For me it performed amazingly. I have had trouble controlling shots into the wind in the past and switching to the Tour S definitely helped me keep the ball lower and not balloon so much. I love the Alignment as well, its very similar to the Callaway Triple Track, but I do like the black lines. Another plus about the Maxfli balls is they are easy to find, both in the stores and on the course. I find the Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X play pretty similarly outside of 150 yards and after that I start to notice the extra spin, and really notice it around the greens. I picked up a sleeve of these to try along with a dozen of the Chrome Soft X. Im 53 and my swing speed has come down from 111 to 100 with the driver. I was expecting the CS X to be a better fit for me because of the lower clubhead speed, thinking I would need the extra spin and higher flight. However, the LS version blew me away. Unbelievable driver distance and extremely straight ball flight. I typically hit a draw that has recently turned into more hooks off the tee at times. I ’ m getting my timing back with the change in clubhead speed and this ball has helped with that because I know when I hit it it ’s going straight where I aim. Confidence inspiring, and it checks up much better than the CS X. Feel is solid off the putter and distance control is much better. I believe Callaway built this ball specifically for higher spin players like myself who don ’ t like to work the ball much and need extra distance off the tee. It ’s sad it ’s discontinued. I have several dozen to get me through this season and possibly next season tho. I get technology changing and ball development evolving but I truly believe Callaway should make this ball a staple in their lineup. Highly recommend you try this ball if you struggle with too much spin, especially with the driver.

Been using these balls for the past 8 rounds and really like the way they feel and perform particularly with irons, wedges and putter. The only area that may be slightly lacking is distance off the driver but I 'll take the short game performance over a few yards off the big stick any day.

Recently upgraded my golf ball from TM Tour Response to the new TP5x. Man, what a difference. I am a mid- handicapper( 10. 5) and felt I needed to upgrade a few things and see if I could lower my scores to eventually break 80. Purchased the new balls, went to my local course, had a great warm up, and headed over to the first tee. On my very first day playing with this ball and on the very first hole, a par 4 at 282 yards, playing from the white tees, I flushed my driver and drove the green! Wow! First time, I 've ever done that. I usually hit 250- 265 with my driver. Not this day. I can only attribute the new distance to a good solid hit on a superior golf ball. The compression was notable. I will continue playing this ball and see if I could hit my new lower score target....

This golf ball( Velocity) works very well for her club speed, she is not very tall, and her club speed is+ or- 60mph. She finds the ball easy to control and is happy with her drives. She would buy again.
