The size is perfect with a small squid strip on a# 4 hook. I was pulling up sand dabs nonstop. The only ones I lost were getting torn off by a pesky seal. Otherwise, at the end of the day I was still able to remove the grubs for re- use.

I have been using the Swedish Pimple for a few years now and it is my go to ice fishing lure. It catches a lot of different species of fish. We use the smaller ones for perch and the larger ones for walleye, bass, and pike. I usually tip the hook with wax worms, a minnow head or a whole minnow. They catch fish.

Crappie grubs are soft plastic baits designed specifically for catching crappie and other panfish. They mimic the appearance and movement of small aquatic creatures, making them attractive to fish. These baits can be used with various fishing techniques, including jigging and trolling, and are often effective in both freshwater lakes and rivers.
When selecting a crappie grub, consider features such as size, color, and tail design. The size should match the local forage to increase effectiveness, while vibrant colors can attract fish in different water conditions. Additionally, the tail design can influence the grub's action in the water, which can be crucial for enticing bites.
Yes, crappie grubs can be effective in various fishing conditions, including clear, stained, or muddy waters. Their versatility allows anglers to adapt to different environments by choosing the right color and size. Additionally, they can be used in both shallow and deep waters, making them a popular choice among crappie anglers.
Crappie grubs differ from other types of lures in their soft plastic composition and design, which allows for a more lifelike presentation. Unlike hard baits, grubs offer a subtle action that can be more appealing to crappie, especially in colder months. They are also generally easier to use for beginners, making them a great option for all skill levels.
Crappie grubs are typically made from soft plastic materials that provide flexibility and realistic movement in the water. These materials are designed to withstand bites and can be infused with scents to further attract fish. The durability of the plastic also allows for multiple catches before needing to be replaced.
Crappie grubs can be used year-round, but their effectiveness may vary with the seasons. In spring and fall, when crappie are more active, grubs can be particularly successful. During summer and winter, adjustments in color, size, and retrieval speed may be necessary to match the fish's behavior and preferences.
