My 9 year old pitches and really getting into the different types of pitches. This definitely helped him with placement instead of just watching videos or having coach show him every time.

A great starter model for my seven year old with plenty of higher speed settings to work toward. Let the machine get up to speed before turning on the feeding mechanism and you will have no problems. Unit is surprisingly accurate. Get a net to catch the missed pitches or you will be chasing balls all day.

We bought this pitching machine for our two grandsons ages 9& 7. It was easy to set up and they were able to start playing with it right away. I was worried the speed of the balls would be too fast but that was not the case. They were able to catch the balls at the higher speeds. They love it.

We bough this machine a few years ago for my son when he was in little league. It helped him greatly with his swing. Since I have a bad elbow that prevents me from throwing accurately& could n't help him practice, we were able to use this for not only his hitting practice, but you can easily adjust it& use it for fielding pop- ups& grounders as well.( Great for pop- ups!) I used to film his swings& we could see it together& work on his mechanics. It tends to bog down a little in speed after a few dozen balls go through it but just give it more time# an extra couple of seconds) between balls. My only real complaint is that we went to use it after a few seasons& the motor quit working. At the time Dick's was n't carrying them in their stores anymore or I would have replaced it with another. Instead we bought another brand that is no way near as accurate or consistent as this machine was. I think that's what I liked the most about this machine. You could get it set up& it would be real consistent. Find the strike zone& you were good!

I have used a lot of brands and models of machines over the years. For the money, this is the best. A great teaching tool not only because it throws accurate and a variety of pitches, but it makes it fun for the hitters while they are practicing.

My Granddaughter got her first honest home run in10 and under fast pitch softball soon after her first batting practice using the machine. The machine is solidly built and works great. It is very accurate within the strike zone but does not throw to the same spot twice..

Performs as advertised with the Lite Flite balls and accomplishes what we wanted at a bargain price. This machine is a quality product, well engineered for quick assembly and breakdown, solid construction with powder coated finish. Only drawback is that it's not effective for defensive play either directly from the machine or from batting practice as the balls are too light to simulate real baseballs.

This machine is amazing what it does for what it costs. It throws every pitch, lefty or righty, every pitch a strike. I love the Liteflite balls. My kids love hitting them, and they have learned how to stay with the curveball since they know the balls wo n't hurt. Ball- in- the- dirt drills and other defensive drills are easy and effective to do. This machine really does do it all....... and it's portable, too.

This pitching machine is the perfect machine for both the beginning ball player and for hitters wanting to hone their skills with curve balls and sliders. The machine was easy to assemble and within 15 minutes my boys( 11 ad 8 years old) were enjoying batting practice. The machine throws strikes and is easy to switch to curve balls and sliders.

Heater over delivered on the Heater Pro Curveball Pitching Machine, it's the single best single wheel real baseball pitching machine I have ever seen. Before delivery I was somewhat skeptical but I was impressed immediately with the construction and the easy of assembly, I fired the first ball out my front door 15 minutes after it was delivered. I will say this, speed 10, 50 MPH at 46- 50 feet is going to overpower most kids under 12, it seems more like a mid 80's pitch from that range so if you have a small cage 50 foot or smaller this is your ideal machine as the kids wo n't outgrow it for a few years. I 've shown this to several coaches and they all said the same that it throws much harder than what it advertises. Great machine and the price is fantastic.

This Pitching machine was bought for my Grandsons( ages 11& 7) Both boys play on leagues in the summer. This was bought to practice with in the off season. The description is very accurate. It is a very well built, solid machine. Easy to put together& store. The boys are loving it. I believe it was not recommended for the age of 7 but it challenges him and he does well with it. I would buy it again

Purchased this for my 15 year old son to have in his 30 ft. batting cage built in the back yard. Super easy to put together and my son and husband have been in the back yard for hours hitting. Great pitches and super quiet and durable. Excellent Purchase and glad we purchased. This definitely gives him a work out and prepared for the high- school season.

Only issue is that the ground was damp, and the dimpled balls got wet a little and then did not travel as well out of the machine, but in dry conditions, it would work fine.
Curveball training helps players improve their pitching skills by focusing on the mechanics and techniques required to throw effective curveballs. This type of training enhances a player's ability to deceive batters, leading to better strikeout rates. Additionally, mastering curveballs can contribute to a more versatile pitching repertoire, making players more competitive in games.
To effectively train for curveballs, players often use specialized pitching machines designed to simulate various pitch types, including curveballs. Additionally, practice aids such as batting cages can provide a controlled environment for players to refine their hitting skills against curveballs. Proper baseballs that mimic the feel and weight of game balls are also important for realistic practice.
Improving curveball grip and release involves focused practice on hand positioning and wrist action. Players should spend time experimenting with different grips to find what feels most comfortable while ensuring they maintain proper wrist snap during the pitch. Incorporating drills that emphasize these mechanics can help players develop consistency and confidence in their curveball.
Curveball training is generally recommended for players who are at least 12 years old, as younger players may still be developing their arm strength and mechanics. Starting too early can lead to improper throwing techniques and potential injury. It's important for players to have a solid foundation in basic pitching skills before focusing on more advanced pitches like the curveball.
To see significant improvement in curveball skills, players should aim to practice regularly, ideally several times a week. Consistency is key, as repeated practice helps reinforce proper mechanics and builds muscle memory. Additionally, incorporating curveball drills into a well-rounded training regimen that includes other pitch types and hitting practice can enhance overall performance.
