A neighbor and good acquaintance of mine who plays for the St. Louis Cardinals bought one of these new Changeup machines. He told me it was the most effective machine he has ever used so I bought one for my sons. It is amazing how it throws change ups with a push of a button on a remote just like your car. You ca n't tell it is slowing down or speeding up. It is just like hitting against a pitcher in a game. The speed changes immediately in between pitches. Best money I ever spent to improve my kids hitting.

Just used it for the first time with my high school son. I was skeptical that the Changeup would somehow be telegraphed to the hitter. I thought for sure you could see the wheel slow down. I was wrong. I thought for sure you would be able to hear the motor slow down. I was wrong again. Finally, I figured the machine would take too long to adjust from Fastball to Changeup. Love it, having tons of fun with this. Been teaching my girlfriend and my friend how to throw different pitches, and it really helps to have a net that fields to back to you, like this. It comes with 4 lawn stakes, go and buy like 4 more, they are super inexpensive and will help it from tipping over if you accidentally hit on the very top. Only other downside it the screws provided, they will get damaged, I have been using this for about 60 hours now and still have n't broken them, but it's starting to strip the screws provided. But that also is a inexpensive fix to be honest for when it does eventually break the bolt

I ’ ve been using this machine for 2 weeks now and it ’s working out great. The pitches are all strikes but not exactly the same place so it ’s not too easy. It ’s a bit of work to switch the legs back and forth from the baseball to softball ones so you pretty need to do one or the other in one session. My daughter feels like the low profile legs give her pretty realistic look at how pitches come at her on the games which is a huge plus compared to having hit her off the baseball machines. It was a bit pricey being$ 500 over the machine that throws 60 mph( this one is 70) so I hope my kids are still using it when they face that velocity. I would recommend product!

This is exactly what it says it is. Perfect pitching machine for the smaller golf ball sized balls. My son and I hit wiffle golf balls before every game to get hes eyes on the ball. This machine is perfect for that, indoor or out door. I live in the Cleveland area so its pretty windy and this pitches through it no problem. I enjoy hitting off it as well. The balls have a true flight to them also, you can really hit them far. As accuracy goes its really like any other pitching machine you have to dial it in and it will occasionally throw some bad ones. Which I think is fine, you dont get perfect pitches when you step in the box.

Everything about this machine is 5 star. So good for teaching kids to hit live pitching. So much fun for backyard baseball. I am not sure who loves it more, the dad's or the kids. Also, jugs is such a top notch company. All of their products are over built in terms of quality. Their spare parts are cheap and easy to find when something breaks. I absolutely would n't but a machine from another brand. My one piece of advice is that the Jugs brand balls wear out quickly, are very expensive, and soak up water. We use Athletic brand foam balls and they work perfectly without the problems.

I purchased this a few weeks ago in order to work on batting and fielding skills with my 12 y/o son who is playing his second year of little league. A big factor in choosing this over other machines was the ability to go anywhere without being confined to an electric outlet. The machine is surprisingly consistent and we are utilizing both Heater balls and baseballs. You do lose a little speed and distance when using actually baseballs but that was expected and easily adjusted for. So far pop fly and pitching settings have been great. Haven ’ t utilized ground ball settings yet. The key to proper use is being consistent with how you set the arm while loading and maintaining a consistent steady pull each time. Would recommend this if in the market for a pitching machine and not wanting to spend a fortune.
