These are a great tool for my sons off season. It is the same size as a baseball so while its snowing and freezing out he can keep these around. Inside tossing up a ball, throwing around in the basement these make it fun. I chose the Marucci Dura- ball's because I needed something to use to work on my son's and daughter's swing over the winter inside here in PA where it gets cold and snowy. It's difficult to get in indoor swings with baseballs because of breakage, but the Duraball popped off of the bat really well and are easy to throw. We were able to get in a lot of reps because of it to correct mechanics and level out the swing. We worked from the pitch and doing some Tee work. The Dura- ball is easy to pitch and does n't move around like a whiffle ball, the ball easily traveled the length of the gym on good contact. The Carry Bag that it comes with is really handy and makes it easy to keep track of them instead of tossing them in the bucket with baseballs. I expect to get a couple of off- seasons out of the Dura- Balls and expect to use them in the pre- season when we ca n't quite get on the field yet. Overall, I definitely recommend this product if you need to get in swings outside and have windows, other breakable objects or in a gym.

My son really enjoyed using these for batting practice at home over the cold months. He could use them inside the garage and hit them into his net. We didnt have to worry about him breaking anything like with real baseballs. They have held up great so far. The red side seems a bit softer than the white side. But both sides seemed to preform the same when hitting. A few times he joked because he hit it so hard we thought it must have cracked but they didnt even have a mark left on them. We were very happy with the quality.

These practice balls are excellent for close soft toss. I found that the balls had great repesatatuon off the bat, yet did not travel far for quicker and easier retrieval. Since the balls ar le softer than the typical hard plastic balls, line drives do not hurt when hit back at the tosser. The provided mesh bag is usefull to collect and store. Quality is great as they take the hits and keep form. I have not seen any crack or split even while hitting them in the cooler MN winter weather outside.

The ball travels/ floats a decent distance. I have not noticed any problems with the shape of the balls after they have been hit. Here in NY it ’s winter and freezing so definitely not the time for outdoor sports. I decided to give these balls to my lab. We throw and play fetch every time we go out and he loves them. They also allow him to pant when he walks because of the hole in them. I ’ m sure they are great for the sport they are intended for but they are also great for dogs. They are durable and easy to throw because of the light weight. They also don ’ t seem like they would do much damage if using them inside. The price point is spot on and I would definitely buy them again.

I have 3 kids, 4, 6 and 8. They all were a little bit afraid of training with baseballs because of fear of being hit, and tennis balls would help just a bit as the fear of the hard balls was still there afterwards. Using these heavy soft plastic balls allowed them to feel comfortable to catch them, throw and bat and so their skills have improved dramatically and considerably within just a few days of practicing with these. It's been over a month or 2 that we have had these training balls and they ca n't have enough fun training with these. Top notch weighted balls, they seem to be very durable and will last for a long time, these things are versatile as you can use them to hit( front toss& tee) but I wouldn ’ t recommend throwing from a far distance, you can also use them to warm up the rotator cuff and get those arms going with the resistance from the weight. I was able to take my son out front of the house and work on BP, timing, technique, etc without worrying about balls on the roof, damage to windows, or lost balls. My son loved being out front with his dad and didnt want to stop. He loved the balls and how they felt, and not having to shag long fly balls like at the park. The balls hit my cars and I wasnt even concerned. They were ran over once by a car, no damage. The wind was blowing pretty hard which gave the ball movement but I was able to pitch from 20ft away without concern for my safety which mitigated the wind, but the wind also made my son have to adjust for movement within the swing; also important. We loved them so much I 'm purchasing some more. My son asked to do this on the regular since he enjoyed it so much. How can you argue with that?
