My son started casting his arms out when batting and he would swear he was not. Even showed him video on how bad it was. At first he hated using the swing rail and said it did not work. Then good old father puts it on and starts nailing the ball with no issues. He then started giving it a try going slow still he found a rhythm that worked for him. I purchased the Pocket Radar about 3 weeks ago to find out how fast my son's velo was as a college pitcher. I researched the internet and found the reviews to be excellent. The pocket radar gun will handle the upper 80's and 90's very well. On 7/17/16 we were playing another team in Pacifica, CA and had four guns on the pitchers as these are all college players throwing hard. The phone app was clearly too hard to operate quickly as you must hit the button when they start the throw and then when they catch it. The Bushnell and the other Pocket Radar Guns we had were all within 1 mile per hour consistently. You do not have to be right behind the plate, we tried it up 100' away from the pitcher and at slight angles. Just hold it straight up and down as the instructions state. I would heavily recommend this gun for it's size, price, and accuracy as the very best on the market today.

With SIP in place, I was seeking a rebound net for my daughter and her water polo skills. While I had my eye on another rebound net at a lower price point, I 'm glad that I purchased this one. The construction is very sturdy and setting it up out the box was very straightforward. Took maybe 10 minutes from opening of the box to getting the very last band connector wrapped. The surface area of the net is very generous. It's got 3 different angle settings to set the net's response at. While throwing a water polo ball at the net, the bounce back is solid( I. e. shoots the ball back as fast as you threw into the net.. if you hit the sweet spot). While maybe the mass of a water polo ball was not the intended sports ball( the net tends to vibrate- I just hacked this by adding some sand bags to the base), the solid construction of this net does the job well. And since it's mean to be 'portable', at the conclusion of your practice, you can quickly velcro the base down to the net and carry it away. This product feels like it will last a long time, although the netting could also play a factor in that as well. Would recommend product to all my friends.

I have been watching this Marucci pitching machine for a couple of weeks and searching everywhere for a review with no luck. Today I spoke with a very nice lady at my local DSG and asked about the return policy. I was afraid that like many other products, this would advertise 60 mph and actually do 25… she told me 90 days, just to make sure I saved all the packaging. I got it home tested it immediately with real baseballs and was my target at 46 feet consistently for the most part. I switched to dimple balls and grabbed the pocket radar and I was constantly hitting 54/55 mph at 46 ft on target. I was using a 9 hole target and 18/18 balls hit a pocket!

We bough this machine a few years ago for my son when he was in little league. It helped him greatly with his swing. Since I have a bad elbow that prevents me from throwing accurately& could n't help him practice, we were able to use this for not only his hitting practice, but you can easily adjust it& use it for fielding pop- ups& grounders as well.( Great for pop- ups!) I used to film his swings& we could see it together& work on his mechanics. It tends to bog down a little in speed after a few dozen balls go through it but just give it more time# an extra couple of seconds) between balls. My only real complaint is that we went to use it after a few seasons& the motor quit working. At the time Dick's was n't carrying them in their stores anymore or I would have replaced it with another. Instead we bought another brand that is no way near as accurate or consistent as this machine was. I think that's what I liked the most about this machine. You could get it set up& it would be real consistent. Find the strike zone& you were good!

I have 2 baseball players and one softball player in the house. We do a lot of batting practice in our backyard or up at the ball fields. We typically store the balls in 5 gallons pails. This caddy is at a better height where we don ’ t have to bend over as much for each ball. The caddy also works with softball or baseballs so it can be used for all of our kids. We haven ’ t used this caddy much but it seems to be sturdy and of good quality. An added bonus that the basket can be removed and the balls can be carried. This will make batting practice much easier this ball season.

My son who plays 10U travel ball and rec ball wanted this to improve his pitching. It works great, the thing I like a lot is that each colored square has its own `` sock '' so after balls are done you can see the targets he was throwing too when getting them back out. The product might look a lot to assemble at first, but after our 2Xs set up, take down, you can easily do it within 3 minutes. Very well made product, everything collapses and fits in a heavy duty nylon bag about 3 feet long. Easy to tote for an average adult.

I bought this about a month ago, daughter loves this net( 16U). Replaces an older Skillz net with a square target. Net is off better quality as is the entire frame. Pockets should last a long time. May take a few extra seconds to retrieve the balls due to the individual pockets and some ball bounce off the yellow and red if hit directly, but still consider this a 5 star!

Wow. Let me say, I was looking for a softball preseason training aid. I 'm in a senior league that plays only during the summer. Therefore, any nice winter/early spring days I 'd like to break the rust off my swing. But nice days in Pittsburgh during the months of January/February are few and far between. And getting someone to pitch to me is even harder. Thus the need for a full batting tee. Lets start by saying this Marucci product is well made and very easy to put together. When assembled the tee weighs about 10 pounds. The home plate base is designed with an cut out so you can easily transport with a grip of one hand. Assembly, is 3 pieces and takes about 2 mins. The interesting part is the base has a grove in which you can slide the stand to multiple places and with a simple twist, the tee locks in place. If you want to move it a bit inside/outside just a simple reverse twist and slide it along the `` path '' to your intended spot and twist to lock. As for adjusting the height, its a bit stiff but I added just a bit of WD- 40 and the problem was resolved. So, for durability, the stand only toppled over 1x, and that was after hitting 75+ softballs and a few baseballs mixed in and NO balls fell off the tee. As for performance, you would think I was in mid- season form. I found the sweet spot multiple times and launched several over the fence 235+ feet away. Overall, I give this product 5 stars for ease of use and performance.
