Built and indoor batting cage in the basement and this machine is perfect. Had to figure out the math since I 'm using `` response time '' based on the distance instead of the actual speed dial. My basement is 40 ’ and had several “ higher level ” kids practice with it and verified real life game speed and the machine settings. Using the pitching machine balls only for about 8 hours a week with no issues at all. The self- feeder is also great so we can set it up and get close to the batter( next to the net) and really watch their swing without feeding the balls manually.

Great machine for the price. Very accurate and even includes an automatic ball feeder. My son loves it and hits for hours on end.

We use this with the xtender cage for our two sons who are avid little league baseball players. So far it has held up well. The neighbors all come to hit in the cage as well. We have the machine in a 24ft cage and it pitches the perfect speed for 11yr olds at about# 6- 7 on the dial. Our older neighbor plays for our local high school team and loves to hit off this machine as well. He hits at about# 8- 9. Which means we have more speed than we will ever need. Do n't be fooled by 50mph rating thinking it's too slow, the closer you put the machine the faster the speed feels. In a 24- 40 ft cage 50mph will feel closer to 90mph. We live in a cold winter climate so it will need to be put away during the winter, but set up is very easy. We purchased a BBQ grill cover to lay over the machine when not in use and it works out perfectly to protect it from the sun and sprinklers. Buy the yellow heater balls to use with this machine. Synthetic balls disintegrate when going through the wheel and leather are very expensive- but do work well.

I have been watching this Marucci pitching machine for a couple of weeks and searching everywhere for a review with no luck. Today I spoke with a very nice lady at my local DSG and asked about the return policy. I was afraid that like many other products, this would advertise 60 mph and actually do 25… she told me 90 days, just to make sure I saved all the packaging. I got it home tested it immediately with real baseballs and was my target at 46 feet consistently for the most part. I switched to dimple balls and grabbed the pocket radar and I was constantly hitting 54/55 mph at 46 ft on target. I was using a 9 hole target and 18/18 balls hit a pocket!

A great starter model for my seven year old with plenty of higher speed settings to work toward. Let the machine get up to speed before turning on the feeding mechanism and you will have no problems. Unit is surprisingly accurate. Get a net to catch the missed pitches or you will be chasing balls all day.

We bought this pitching machine for our two grandsons ages 9& 7. It was easy to set up and they were able to start playing with it right away. I was worried the speed of the balls would be too fast but that was not the case. They were able to catch the balls at the higher speeds. They love it.

We bough this machine a few years ago for my son when he was in little league. It helped him greatly with his swing. Since I have a bad elbow that prevents me from throwing accurately& could n't help him practice, we were able to use this for not only his hitting practice, but you can easily adjust it& use it for fielding pop- ups& grounders as well.( Great for pop- ups!) I used to film his swings& we could see it together& work on his mechanics. It tends to bog down a little in speed after a few dozen balls go through it but just give it more time# an extra couple of seconds) between balls. My only real complaint is that we went to use it after a few seasons& the motor quit working. At the time Dick's was n't carrying them in their stores anymore or I would have replaced it with another. Instead we bought another brand that is no way near as accurate or consistent as this machine was. I think that's what I liked the most about this machine. You could get it set up& it would be real consistent. Find the strike zone& you were good!

Heater over delivered on the Heater Pro Curveball Pitching Machine, it's the single best single wheel real baseball pitching machine I have ever seen. Before delivery I was somewhat skeptical but I was impressed immediately with the construction and the easy of assembly, I fired the first ball out my front door 15 minutes after it was delivered. I will say this, speed 10, 50 MPH at 46- 50 feet is going to overpower most kids under 12, it seems more like a mid 80's pitch from that range so if you have a small cage 50 foot or smaller this is your ideal machine as the kids wo n't outgrow it for a few years. I 've shown this to several coaches and they all said the same that it throws much harder than what it advertises. Great machine and the price is fantastic.

This Pitching machine was bought for my Grandsons( ages 11& 7) Both boys play on leagues in the summer. This was bought to practice with in the off season. The description is very accurate. I ’ ve been using this machine for 2 weeks now and it ’s working out great. The pitches are all strikes but not exactly the same place so it ’s not too easy. It ’s a bit of work to switch the legs back and forth from the baseball to softball ones so you pretty need to do one or the other in one session. My daughter feels like the low profile legs give her pretty realistic look at how pitches come at her on the games which is a huge plus compared to having hit her off the baseball machines. It was a bit pricey being$ 500 over the machine that throws 60 mph( this one is 70) so I hope my kids are still using it when they face that velocity. I would recommend product!

This product is great if you have a pitcher who needs practice. The stitching is thick and holds together well. The velcro comes on and off with ease for the numbers. My nephew is a baseball player and he was the first one to test it out. We both agreed that it is a product that definitely helps with throwing accuracy. He also likes that the ball can be thrown through the target or you can remove the target altogether. It was very easy to attach to the net. The sticking is thick and all together is a high quality product.

Material used to make this is very durable. There may be some fraying as time goes due to the velcro used but it still good. Will easily attach to a pitching net with the hooks. Straps are easily adjustable as well to fit different size nets.

This heavy duty steel frame, foam padded marucci 9 slot pitching target/net is unbelievably sturdy! So pleasantly surprised by the amazing quality. It has adjustable legs for the perfect strike zone depending on age/height. Which is a bonus to grow with the player instead of having to replace every few years. Assembly was a breeze, as the main frame came assembled and ready to attach to the legs. It is just as easy to take down, detach the legs and store it away. My son has used this for getting that extra pitching practice in on evenings and weekends in our backyard. Although it ’s made for baseball/softball pitching practice, he ’s also gotten some dual sport usage as a QB target net! Highly recommend.
5
Jemmalyn
This Marucci net has been a huge addition to both my kids and my teams training. It is great for locating pitches for my older kid. It is also helpful for the younger ones so they have a great visual. It holds up great when the net is missed and has n't shown any sign of breaking down. This is a must have addition to any pitching parent.
5
Jstan2700
This thing is robust! A good amount wider than home plate but with the 9 zones and adjustable height it ’s good for pitching practice as well as being used for a backstop target for batting practice. Seems very strong and sturdy so I think it will last a long time and be very useful. It ’s also easy to take off the legs so that it can be laid flat.
5
Joekari3
This pitching net is so versatile. We have a left handed baseball pitcher and a right handed 12u fastpitch pitcher. This net is great for both. You can adjust the net height with several options. The balls fit easily in the pockets and you can throw numerous balls before emptying. The net ensemble is portable which is nice as we use it indoors during the winter months and when the weather is bad and it is small enough to throw in my vehicle to bring outside and to the the park.
