I have been watching this Marucci pitching machine for a couple of weeks and searching everywhere for a review with no luck. Today I spoke with a very nice lady at my local DSG and asked about the return policy. I was afraid that like many other products, this would advertise 60 mph and actually do 25… she told me 90 days, just to make sure I saved all the packaging. I got it home tested it immediately with real baseballs and was my target at 46 feet consistently for the most part. I switched to dimple balls and grabbed the pocket radar and I was constantly hitting 54/55 mph at 46 ft on target. I was using a 9 hole target and 18/18 balls hit a pocket!

We bough this machine a few years ago for my son when he was in little league. It helped him greatly with his swing. Since I have a bad elbow that prevents me from throwing accurately& could n't help him practice, we were able to use this for not only his hitting practice, but you can easily adjust it& use it for fielding pop- ups& grounders as well.( Great for pop- ups!) I used to film his swings& we could see it together& work on his mechanics. It tends to bog down a little in speed after a few dozen balls go through it but just give it more time# an extra couple of seconds) between balls. My only real complaint is that we went to use it after a few seasons& the motor quit working. At the time Dick's was n't carrying them in their stores anymore or I would have replaced it with another. Instead we bought another brand that is no way near as accurate or consistent as this machine was. I think that's what I liked the most about this machine. You could get it set up& it would be real consistent. Find the strike zone& you were good!

The numbers once hit the ball goes through it with no problem. Sometimes the velcro loosens is needed. It attaches with ease on all four corners. Not one to write reviews, but I have to say that this product is solid. I am an assistant coach for coach pitch league for 7- 8 year olds. My head coach was out of town for the week and I am a terrible pitcher. Not to mention our kids were weak at bat. Luckily our fields are equipped with outlets. I had just previously bought and returned a red plastic pitching machine from another manufacturer that lacked accuracy so bad it actually hit my own kids several times so they did n't even want to use it. I was pretty skeptical, but hoping that this unit being more heavy duty would work. And after our first practice of 15 boys getting 25 pitches a piece the machine worked great. The only thing to watch out for is using balls with inconsistent size. If you are like me, you may not know that baseballs from different manufactures are not consistent in size. So a couple of boys had to take cover when a we used a couple of stray balls, but if we stayed with the same bucket than the pitches were always perfect strikes.
