on 10/27/20 I caught a 43 '' and 44 '' striper with this jig. I must say though, it was tipped with a small live bunker. Still, it performed well with a 38 pound, 43' fish attached.

My first cast with it today I caught a 2 pound bass, which is big for the pond I fished at. Get the Cajun Crawfish color, with a Yum Crawbug in the crawfish color. The paint does n't chip, the weed guard works, the skirt stays on, overall, a great little bass jig. Planning on buying more.

These are awsome artificial jigs. They were recommended to me by a friend. Need to stock more of the 3/16. Black.

I have about 20 of these jigs. Where I fish, I lose jigs a lot. This is my best, most affordable option. It also happens to catch fish better for me than bigger jigs. I am totally addicted to these mini- jigs. Sometimes the line- tie is filled with paint, and the paint chips. I have yet to find a jig( at least a mini- jig) that does n't have the `` filled line- tie hole '' issue sometimes, and the chipped paint is n't a huge issue.

I got this jig and I went to cast out in the snake river in twin falls ID. On my second cast i reeled in a 2 lb smallmouth:)

I have used this jig on Lewis Smith Lake in Alabama, a very deep and extremely clear lake for both spotted and largemouth bass with excellent results. I usually target mainly spotted bass but have caught largemouth as well. My largest 'spot' to date with this lure is 4 lbs, with 2- 3 pounders on a regular basis.

Frequently Asked Questions For Diamond Fishing Jigs

A diamond fishing jig is a type of lure designed for deep-sea fishing, characterized by its diamond-shaped body that helps it sink quickly. These jigs are typically used to attract various species of fish by mimicking the movement of baitfish. Anglers often use them in vertical jigging techniques, allowing for effective presentations at different depths.

Diamond fishing jigs are often made from durable materials such as metal, which provides weight and helps the jig sink rapidly. The surface may be coated with reflective finishes or colors to enhance visibility underwater. Some jigs may also incorporate additional features like hooks or tails made from synthetic materials to increase their effectiveness.

Diamond fishing jigs are versatile lures that can attract a wide range of fish species, including tuna, cod, and other saltwater game fish. Their design allows them to be effective in both deep and shallow waters, making them suitable for various fishing environments. The effectiveness can vary based on the specific jig's weight and color, as well as the fishing conditions.

Yes, diamond fishing jigs come in various styles, each designed for specific fishing techniques and conditions. Some may feature treble hooks for better hook sets, while others might have additional tails or skirts to enhance their action in the water. The choice of style can depend on the target species and the angler's preferred fishing method.

Choosing the right weight for a diamond fishing jig depends on several factors, including water depth, current strength, and the type of fish you are targeting. Heavier jigs are typically used in deeper waters or strong currents to ensure they reach the desired depth quickly. Conversely, lighter jigs may be more effective in shallower waters or when fishing for species that are less aggressive.

Diamond fishing jigs offer several advantages, including their ability to sink quickly and reach deeper waters where many fish species reside. Their unique shape and reflective surfaces can attract fish effectively, even in low visibility conditions. Additionally, they can be used in various fishing techniques, making them a versatile option for anglers.
