I got one of these jigs last week and went fishing with it the same day. I got my first striper and then 9 more. I kept the two largest ones 21& 22 ”. The best part is the jig looks ready to go again with no damage to the grub tail. There are a few small chips in the paint from getting dropped on concrete while in a striper ’s mouth. I bought a second one in chartreuse for the next trip.

My first cast with it today I caught a 2 pound bass, which is big for the pond I fished at. Get the Cajun Crawfish color, with a Yum Crawbug in the crawfish color. The paint does n't chip, the weed guard works, the skirt stays on, overall, a great little bass jig. Planning on buying more.

These are awsome artificial jigs. They were recommended to me by a friend. Need to stock more of the 3/16. Black.

I have about 20 of these jigs. Where I fish, I lose jigs a lot. This is my best, most affordable option. It also happens to catch fish better for me than bigger jigs. I am totally addicted to these mini- jigs. Sometimes the line- tie is filled with paint, and the paint chips. I have yet to find a jig( at least a mini- jig) that does n't have the `` filled line- tie hole '' issue sometimes, and the chipped paint is n't a huge issue.

I have used this jig on Lewis Smith Lake in Alabama, a very deep and extremely clear lake for both spotted and largemouth bass with excellent results. I usually target mainly spotted bass but have caught largemouth as well. My largest 'spot' to date with this lure is 4 lbs, with 2- 3 pounders on a regular basis.

I was happy to find jigs with good options regarding weight and hook size. Too often the choice has been either micro jigs with tiny hooks which are sometimes but not always a good fit, or, if some weight is desired, jigs with hooks jumped up to size 1 or 2, no mid ground. This series gives you more hook size and weight options. Good color selection too. These are not easy to find. I hope Dicks keeps them in stock.

The chartreuse has been excellent in clear water summer fishing for smaller bass and crappie. When the fish literally look at all other bait and go `` Meh... '', throw this in, give it a few flicks, and watch them bite.

Essential purchase to accompany Terror
5
pecktron2000
For some reason, DOA only provides one jig head with their Terror Eyez lures. They do give you three soft bodies but we all know that most losses of lures are due to human error and not from fish chewing the soft plastics up. In my opinion, three soft plastics should come with three jig heads. This replacement jig head pack is the solution to that problem. It comes with 5 jig heads so if you buy another pack of Terror Eyez, you now have enough jig heads for all six. These come in different weights but the most common is 1/4oz which is what I found at Dick's.
Striper jigs are specialized lures designed to attract striped bass and other fish species. They typically feature a weighted head and a hook, allowing anglers to cast them into the water and retrieve them in a way that mimics the movement of prey. These jigs can be used in various fishing environments, including freshwater and saltwater, making them versatile tools for anglers.
Striper jigs are often made from a combination of materials to enhance their effectiveness. The jig heads are typically crafted from metal for durability and weight, while the bodies may use soft plastics, feathers, or other synthetic materials to create lifelike movement and appearance. This combination helps to attract fish by mimicking their natural prey.
There are several styles of striper jigs, each designed for specific fishing techniques and conditions. Some jigs feature a vertical design for deep-water fishing, while others are more suited for shallow waters or surf fishing. Additionally, variations in color, size, and shape can influence how well a jig performs in different environments.
Choosing the right striper jig depends on various factors, including the fishing location, water conditions, and the type of baitfish present. Consider the depth at which you will be fishing and the size of the striped bass in the area. Additionally, experimenting with different colors and styles can help you determine what works best for your specific situation.
To effectively use striper jigs, it's important to vary your retrieval speed and technique to mimic the movement of prey. Try incorporating pauses and jerks in your retrieve to create an enticing action that attracts fish. Additionally, pay attention to water conditions and adjust your jig weight and style accordingly to ensure optimal performance.
