[ Have some how ended up with a shepherd that LOVES to swim. Bailey will race you to the water, jump off a still moving boat and loves to synchronize swim. The ease and speed with which he can be suited up for the water makes this the ideal vest for him. Love the full wrap flotation this vest offers. The additional buoyancy gives him great confidence in the jump. So happy overall fit, quality of materials and again the speedy on.( Can not stress enough the ease of the suit up!) Oh also love the leash attachment for those emergency potty stops when he drinks the whole lake.

It is a slimmer profile, although some reviewers claim it's not as bouyant, it worked well for our purposes I would have preferred the original red currant color be kept over time to allow gear to retrofit better.

When she fell off the kayak out in the middle of the lake, the handle built into the back made it easy to get her back on the deck. I purchased 2 other brand vest from other suppliers, and though the fit was okay the support provided by the vests were less than 3 1/2 lbs. On my 56 lb Aussie it was fashionable only. The `` BayDog '' Monterey Bay life vest is very well made with extra stiching at all of the strap and clip points, adjustable straps make custom fitting a breeze. I Attached 6 lbs of diving weights to the vest and tossed the vest in my swimming pool. The entire vest stayed on the surface.
