[ Oh man. Let me tell you about these bad boys. First, they fit like a glove- not too snug, not too loose, but just right. I ’ ve wet waded in these a few times so far and trust me, no gravel is getting into my shoes or down into these. I could wear these suckers everywhere and be confident and cool in them, they are just that amazing. People often mistake me for a fly fishing guide when I have them on and throw money at me( that ’s what you do with guides, right?), ask for advice( my answer: throw meat, bruh), and occasionally just watch me as I ultimately mess up( no one seems to care because I ’ m wearing these hot as heck socks.). I definitely feel that my angling game has benefited so much from these that I may order another pair just to have around the house.

I thought they might have a collar around your lower leg once you pull the upper down over your boot but they don ’ t. No worries, they are snug enough pebbles and sand don ’ t get in. Most wader pants I ’ ve tried seemed like a mere afterthought by the manufacturer. These new Simms pants are the best product available by far for those of us who don ’ t need full waders. I use them to launch my boat when necessary, to fish from my kayak and of course, for shallow wading. They are really comfortable and convenient, slipping on and off with no effort. I cant imagine buying wader pants without the zipper! They were perfect for me( Large King) … 6- 2 and 220 lbs. I do wish you could provide 3 three overlapping size ranges for the booties. For those of us with size 11 1/2 feet the 9- 11s are a little short and the 12- 13s a little long. Otherwise, these are perfect!'

I always wear a size 10 shoe. Korkers Greenback Wading Boots size 11 did not fit. Ideally there would be a size 11. 5 but my only option is going to size 12 if I insist on this boot. Otherwise, they seem great. Dicks Sporting Goods is accommodating me without any hassel- much appreciated!!!

First pair I ordered online was n't the size I ordered so I took them back to the local store and they ordered me the correct pair. The store manager did me a solid and gave me an extra discount for the hassle. I 've yet to wear the boots in the stream but have no doubt I will thoroughly enjoy them. They boots say insulated but there doesn'tseem to be muchand if they is it's minimal. Only issue is the insole is sub- par and will have to be replaced as it has bunched up from walking. Started with a pair of field and stream brand boots, lasted 2 years. Then went for a pair of orvis Clearwater that lasted only 1 year before the heel started to wear out and damage my waders. These simms boots seem like they will outlive both of the previous pair. They are so rugged and sturdy. I love that the whole boot is made of a thick rubber. The boots go so far up the ankle that you have so much support. I will start by saying these are the best pair of boots I have ever owned for wading and I would highly recommend these boots. They are very comfortable with excellent support and great traction. I also purchased a pack of the hardbite studs which work great. I were a size 12 shoe and I purchased a size 12 boot and they fit perfectly with my waders. I have only used them a few times so far so not sure how they will hold up. But so far so good. They still look brand new lol. I would give simms a 5 out of 5 on these. I ’ m sure there higher line boots are amazing as well but for a more mid priced boot these are definitely worth it to me.

These boots replace my old Simms Leather Guide Boots, which are twenty years old and still serviceable. Incredible boots, comfortable to hike in and the fit is great. Follow the Simms sizing guidelines and you should be good to go. Sent a photo of the boots with me wearing my Simms Guide pant waders. I give these 5 stars as I have put somewhere around 300 days or more fishing my first pair of these and have put 20 or so on a second because the sole cracked on the first. I fish the Rio Grande in New Mexico several days a year crawling on the volcanic rock, boulders, cactus, sage and they have held up to it. I have tortured these boots and they held as long as any other guides much more expensive boots. I only wish I could get them with about a 3rd the volume as I have a size 13 B foot and have to fill lots of space with wading socks. Even still I bought a second pair.

Just purchased these waders, and they appear very well made and rugged. I certainly hope they 're not discontinued( it almost seems that way when I read the Frogg Toggs lineup, ever since the introduction of the Hellbenders anyway) because I want to recommend them to numerous friends. They 're built so much better than the economy waders I 've been using( which after a season or so developed leaks I could n't find, and no amount of shoe goo would keep me from having a legful of water and two soggy socks, every trip). I try to be easy on gear and I fully expect to use these fine Sierran waders for many, many years. I have yet to get them into the water but if they leak there's a full- year warranty. They 're REALLY well made. I 'm just under 6'1 '' and about 188 pounds, and the `` LARGE '' are perfect for me.( Other afffordable waders need XL for me but these are pretty true to size-- they still have room for a fleece jacket and other warm clothing, too.)

First pair of breathable waders, was hesitate buying these as I had n't heard of Frogg Togg. Ive had other brand name waders but Im extremely satisfied with these, very durable. I had to hike through some rugged territory to get to a favourite location, figured i done them in on day one. But with scrub brush and sliding down the side of a bank on my butt they never even had a pin hole. If these wear out id buy another pair no questions. They work great right out of the box! I knocked the new off of them by fishing 7 straight days in Argentina on the Malleo. The boots offered plenty of support both in and out of the water. We did a lot of walking and I had no problem scrambling up and down the bluffs. The felts worked just fine on the slick, rolling, bowling ball sized rocks and my legs appreciated the lite weight at the end of the week. I ordered the size recommended on the Simms webpage and they fit great. I highly recommend them.

Used them on the Neversink, a river whose riverbed is full of good size rocks and boulders that are moss covered. The boot gripped like a charm. Because of the light weight the boot did n't protect me as well as my heavier, more padded boots when I stepped in between rocks but the lightweight was a real lifesaver with our 2. 2 mile hike from the river at the end of day.

The boot is fairly lightweight and rugged. Very simple boot without much to it. Fits true to size and is able to lace up securely. Not as stiff as most other wading boots. I like that it has the metal rivets along the eyelights for the laces. These boots appear as if they were made to last. I would recommend this boot to others. It was a tad bulkier than what it appears in the picture, but not excessively so. Fits well with a lot of good support. Easy to walk in for a long day of fishing.

I give these 5 stars as I have put somewhere around 300 days or more fishing my first pair of these and have put 20 or so on a second because the sole cracked on the first. I fish the Rio Grande in New Mexico several days a year crawling on the volcanic rock, boulders, cactus, sage and they have held up to it. I have tortured these boots and they held as long as any other guides much more expensive boots. I only wish I could get them with about a 3rd the volume as I have a size 13 B foot and have to fill lots of space with wading socks. Even still I bought a second pair.

So I ’ ve got to be honest.. I really wanted to buy the new waders from First Lite. So much so that I sold the G3 Guides I had worn for several years. They were stocking foots, and for my purposes, boot foot would ’ ve been a better move. But I loved them- they ’ re incredible waders made here in the USA. And I wore the heck out of ‘ em. When First Lite announced that they were delaying their wader launch for another season, I went back to what I knew( Simms), saw this new model, and figured I would give it a try. First impressions: outstanding quality as always, the boot fits snug to the heel, and the zipper is a total game changer. I can ’ t help but think they made these with hunters in mind, given the color and specs( zip+boot foot+webbing on the front). The color is very similar to the Sitka Delta waders in their solid earth tone. Even if First Lite drops something truly revolutionary on their wader next year, I plan on keeping these forever.. a truly excellent product from Simms as always. Note- I normally wear a 9. 5 in shoes, and ordered the 10 Reg in these. Fits perfect so far!

Fit and finish are everything you 'd expect from Simms. Ease of movement even when bending down and squatting is huge. Nothing feels like it is going to rip or break. Using theses to mostly hunt in pairing them with a good leg gaiter to protect the neoprene on the boots should only make them better. I really hope they drop this color combo or similar in a stocking foot in the future. I wish they would have used a OD green boot on these. Boots are super comfortable out of the box and fit true to size. Went with theses over Sitkas deltas, nice to see Simms tapping into the hunting scene a little more. Bring on more solid dark colors and combos! Ill never own a pair of non zip waders again, total game changer!

I had a pair of Simms Tributary waders that lasted me 3 seasons here in the Pacific Northwest. I sent them in to Simms for repairs to the seam tape that had failed. Simms was not able to repair them and gave me an in store credit for the original price of the waders. The fact that they stood by their product warranty is reason enough to keep buying Simms. Now to the waders, the new Freestones fit is as listed but far better than the Tributary waders. The neoprene gravel guards fit tightly and don ’ t pull up while walking around. I haven ’ t had them in the water yet but expect them to perform well. The best part is I made this order on Thursday morning and received the waders in the mail Friday morning and Simms threw in a field repair kit for free. Thanks Simms and hopefully you update the Freestone Jacket to match soon.

Been looking for waders with extra knee padding. I love SIMMs waders, but always looking for a little more knee pad. I found em ’ with the confluence. I ’ m always on my knees, whether it ’s flipping rocks for entomology, or posing for a picture. My waders take a beating at the knees. This is the first pair of waders I 've had to buy in 15 years an OH BOY what an upgrade. They 've seen a handful of trips since purchase. When it was 65F outside they did not feel hot; when it was 28F outside this last weekend with a base layer under they felt just warm enough standing in the middle of a river. I really like the external knee pads-- scrambling up and down slightly sketchy canyons to try and catch a trout, sharp rocks were just one less thing to worry about. The chest pockets are also well placed for easy access. I like that the guards that go over your boots do n't have a hook on them but instead fit tight enough onto the boot themselves to hold strong without me noticing. Zero hesitations in recommending these for anyone looking to stand in a river and slay trout.

I had the previous generation Freestone Waders and they took 3 years of abuse, 3- 4 days a week on the water and exceeded my expectations. I recently bought the new Freestone Zs and they are fantastic! The stitching makes for a better feel and better mobility. The fit, flex, and new gravel guards are top notch. The storage pockets are nice along with the tool docking area. The zipper is heavy duty and is convenient allowing for easy in and out and will be useful when nature calls. I have no complaints. I look forward to many, many days on the water with these waders!
