Got this a month ago for Mora 6 ” hand auger. A little pricey but worth it. Used a couple times now with an old craftsman 19. 2 V cordless drill. Drilled a dozen holes thru 10 ” ice no problem. Bought it cause I liked the handle for grip and won ’ t lose it down the hole if it comes loose from the drill( read many reviews on other adapters where that happened). A heck of a lot lighter than pulling around my big gas auger, too.

Worked great. Your blades must be sharp, good charged quality drill and traction for your feet on the ice. The ager works great and handle is perfect

A drill adapter for ice fishing is a tool that allows you to convert a standard power drill into an ice auger. It typically attaches to the drill's chuck and connects to an auger bit, enabling you to efficiently drill holes in ice for fishing. This setup offers a lightweight and portable alternative to traditional gas-powered augers.
Drill adapters for ice fishing are often made from durable materials such as aluminum or high-strength plastic, which provide a balance of lightweight design and strength. These materials ensure that the adapter can withstand the cold temperatures and the rigors of drilling through thick ice without compromising performance.
Most drill adapters for ice fishing are designed to be compatible with a variety of power drills, particularly cordless models. However, it's important to check the specifications of the adapter to ensure it fits your drill's chuck size and power requirements for optimal performance during ice fishing.
Using a drill adapter for ice fishing offers several advantages, including reduced weight and increased portability, making it easier to transport to fishing locations. Additionally, they often provide a quieter operation compared to gas-powered augers and can be more cost-effective, especially for those who already own a compatible power drill.
Yes, there are various styles of drill adapters for ice fishing, designed to accommodate different types of auger bits and drilling techniques. Some may feature adjustable settings for different ice thicknesses, while others are designed for specific drilling speeds or torque settings, allowing anglers to choose the best option for their fishing conditions.
