Largest fish it's had on was only about 3 pounds so far, so we 'll have to see if it can hold up to a monster. I figured what the heck I 'll give it a try. It's one of the best fly fishing purchases I 've ever made. It could n't be easier to thread a fly. Even tiny nymphs. You just put the eye on one end and a magnet holds it up right, run your tippet down the groove, and voila right through the eye. It's so simple and I have a 99% success rate threading a fly on the first try! So much wasted time saved stabbing tippet getting out magnifiers etc. What a great idea and US made to boot. There's lot's of gimmick tools available in the fly fishing world, but this is n't one of them, it honestly works as advertised. Highly recommend for your vest!

These run about 1/2 the price of the `` premium '' hooks and side by side are just as sharp. I 'd rather buy inexpensive hooks and change them often than run expensive hooks and try to stretch the useful life.

Have used the bronze version of these hooks for years. Like them much better then the khale style. Great for light surf fishing, but don ’ t discredit the strength. I have landed Bull reds and big drum with# 2 and# 4 size hooks. Very strong.
