[ I bought a couple of 60 cm slings for sport climbing quick draws, and they ’ ve been working out well. The nylon is thick, abrasion resistant, super bomber, and I feel comfortable taking a lead fall on them. The nylon used gives stretches a little, putting more dynamic parts into the climbing equation and giving you a( very) slightly softer fall. Since the slings are wider than usual, I use sport quick draw carabiners so that the sling lays flat in the end of the carabiner. These slings are excellent at giving you a sense of comfort while taking lead falls on them.

So far this is a great harness, bigger and better than the Big Gun. Hanging in it for several hours at a time it ’s more comfortable than the previous BD big wall harness. I like that it does not have double stacked gear loops, making gear access easier. The addition of ice clipper slots is a nice addition, and makes convenient storage for awkward items. The modern speed buckle is a mixed bag for my use, but overall a positive change. I use this for bolt replacement work, and think it ’s great! Lots of hanging with lots of tools and faff, and this harness is a step up from other harnesses I ’ ve used.

I bought this for a 60ish mile canoe trip some 20 or so of my friends and I do every year. I 've never taken a PFD on this trip in previous years because it's typically low water. But we had gotten a boatload( see what I did there) of rain and the water was raging so I thought I should pick one up in a hurry. This was a rush buy, but it turned out to be far more comfortable than I had imagined. I hardly noticed I was wearing it even after having it on for 10+ hours a day. The pockets make it very convenient to have smaller items readily accessible on my chest. Unfortunately, on day 3 during a moderate rescue, I left the jacket on the river bank and finished the trip without it. And although this would n't be my first choice for white water, I will still buy another one because I liked it so much.

I have n't been in the water with it yet, but it fit well( I ordered a Large, I 'm 5' 10 '' tall and weigh 150 lbs) and felt comfortable. I intend to mostly use it for fishing from a fishing float tube or standing in water fly fishing wearing chest waders and it 'll work great for those purposes. Found the zipper to be a little bit difficult to get started( the padding down at the bottom obstructs the zipper a little bit but it works OK once you get it started. Nice pockets, but as a fisherman I could always use more!). Neither of those issues made me rate it below five stars. I have already used it for some tree climbing using a Petzl Zigzag combined with knee and foot ascenders and it did the job admirably for its price point( i. e. I bought this for hiking with my jack russel/rat terrier mix. He has an odd shaped body( long body with short legs) which makes it hard to find harnesses that fit him without rubbing in the armpits. This harness is very adjustable and fits really well. He ca n't get out of it when rolling around which has been an issue with other harnesses we 've tried. You can adjust the straps to make the vest fit better. At first it was a bit hard to adjust the straps but once it is loose it ’s no problem. Bought the Panga 75 for my work and flyfishing travel adventures. This thing rocks! Fit a few days worth of clothes, and all of my fly gear on a recent weekend trip to Aruba. 9 wt 4 piece tube fit well in the bag. When my flight was delayed, I had to hop in a cab from the airport to the marina, and out to the flats. The Panga kept everything dry, including my iPad and electronics.
