This is the club anyone who doesn ’ t like hybrids should have. I ’ m 77, have played for 50 years, and don ’ t like hybrids. As my swing speed has slowed my ability to get middle irons up has dropped significantly. Hybrids didn ’ t help. I now have an 11, 9, and Heavenwood Paradym fairway wood in the bag and couldn ’ t be happier. Not only is the peak height excellent, but the distance gapping is much better. Was fitted to the Elyte X last month. The club is automatic! The speed wave really helped ball speed and launch on low contact. I have a tendency to hit my woods low and it results in a piercing ball flight. Great for roll out not great for holding greens. The distance, descent angle, and ball speed are spectacular. I ca n't miss with these things as it seems to automatically square for me, even out of longer rough. I had a 233 yard 5 wood from the right rough with a straight, baby draw, which settled on the green. The step sole shape of the sole really gets through the turf well without an twisting. These are legit the best fairway woods I 've ever hit!

While not the biggest fairway wood in the Elyte Line, this is certainly the longest hitting. Deceptively long to a point that I found myself 15+ yards beyond where I usually hit my 3- woods. For it's size, the 3 wood is forgiving than advertised. And being a Callaway fairway wood, it is also easy to launch the ball off the deck. And that's the key... being able to easily launch the ball off the deck is one advantage this fairway wood will have over a Mini- Driver.

I tested this out at my local golf shop and this was the hottest off the face would I 've ever hit my entire life. If I had some money saved up, I would dive straight in and get the three wood with a stiff shaft, but I think I 'm gon na have to wait until the next generation when this generation lowers in price no matter how bad I want it. The reduced contact with the turf actually makes a huge difference for me at least. The launch monitor was showing great results and I could feel it even without the launch monitor. The ball is popping off of the face like it was nobody's business and compared to the G4 40. I felt that this club had a better feel and overall weight distribution, as well as as I simply prefer the set up look of it. If you have the money, I would highly recommend this, it is certainly on my wish list.

This 3 wood is perfect if you like a taller face for teed up shots and want to be able to have more adjustability. Forgiveness is fine despite it being the more difficult of the GT line to hit. If you are a competent player( not you weekend players shooting above 90) you will find much to like here. I recommend the gt2 or 1 for less skilled players.

I have the 3 wood for the fairway and its so much easier to hit. As well as getting 10+ yards for well struck. It's taken some time for me to slow my swing down which happens at the end of the season but now I am getting great rewards. I also went with Stiff Shaft and love the weight of the club which makes the balls spring toward the target a lot straighter. I highly recommend this club. I recently recieved this TaylorMade 3 wood, after hitting the same one for over 20 years, and boy am I glad that I did. It was looooong overdue! Not only had i graduated to a senior flex, but this has about 2° more loft that my old stick. I have only played it once so far, but it has already made me say, `` What took me so loooong? Nice looking fairway wood club. They had a rare 7 wood in a stiff shaft. Gentleman named Al brought the club out to my curbside pick up. We realized someone had put the club with wrong specs in my order. Al took me inside and found the right club. He exchanged and solved the issue quickly and walked me back out. No delays and he really helped out in correcting a simple error that was not his fault. It turned out to be a really good experience and Al was very postive to work with.
