[ Found the right kayak for me. I ’ m 6 ’ 4 and 235lbs 73 years old. Needed the length and cockpit size for comfort and stability and tracking. Yet can easily carry the kayak both assembled or in the box.( With backpack or straps) Performed well in a protected( calm) salt marsh on the North Fork of LI. It ’s not for windy or choppy conditions but mostly have paddled calm water for last 35 years in hard shell boats so given the portability and performance, might be giving up my hard shell…. third time assembling got it down to 12 minutes!

[ We purchased the Beach Sport kayak for the ability to bring Tippi, our Golden Doodle along with us! We had our maiden voyage in Alamitos Bay, and paddled around Naples Canals in Long Beach California! Tippi loved it and got her sea legs going fine! We love to include her in our adventures, and the other Kayaks did not have room for her. The boat felt stable and solid for paddling in the nice calm bay. My husband paddled Mombo( the name for the new black kayak). I paddled his Coast xt— that one is a pain to assemble,( compared to my Bay ST), but the paddle is sweet and fast. My Bay St started leaking, which is also what spurred the new purchase. I paddled much more than my husband, so the Coast is in pretty good shape— but I noticed a little compromise on one of the folding corners! I might need to repair it before it leaks. [ I absolutely love my new Oru Kayak! It arrived promptly, as promised. I ordered the bundle with the backpack, oar and cell phone waterproof bag; I also added the life vest and safety whistle. My first assembly of the kayak took a bit longer, but worked marvelously. I have taken it out once on the very calm lake behind my house — smooth riding. Can ’ t wait for more great kayaking!!

I am not new to paddle sports, but this is my first kayak( at age 62!). Just had my maiden voyage( on a lake with very little wind) and it was so nice! Very stable, tracks well, and the seat is fairly comfortable. I think I need to get myself a set of wheels for the back end because it is a little tough to carry by myself. Also want to get a dry bag for my keys and wallet.( Ziplock bags worked ok, but something more sturdy might be good.) I am pleased with my Quest Canyon 100 and am so glad I got it on sale.

I had an old aluminum canoe that had been a great fishing canoe, but at 86 pounds I could no longer handle it. The Pelican Catch Classic 100 weighs only 58 pounds and slides easily on and off my truck. Plus, I 've already caught a lot of fish. I use a seat cushion that adds about 3 inches to the chair of the kayak and puts me up a bit higher. The kayak is great for about 2- 2. 5 hours of fishing. I have n't had it out in much wind yet, but it handles pretty well.

This is the second boat I have purchased after buying one last year for my son. The boat is highly rated and did a lot of homework before buying. We use this to fish back bay fishing and crabbing. It's a great stable boat and you get a lot for the price point. It's also easy to load since it's only 10 feet long making it a lot lighter than larger boats.

Got this kayak a couple months ago and I have used it twice. It is the best bang for your buck when it comes to the accessories( rod holders, built in tracks) plus having the comfortable seat. Little tippy at first but after getting out for a while it tracks well. I would recommend this to anyone who wants the best bang for your buck. I am going to try to put a trolling motor on it this summer. I am 6' 2 '' 230 lb so I might be over the weight capacity. No problems with the dry storage like other reviews. Ca n't find a better deal, plus the purple is nice.

My husband and I purchased this after experiencing a tandem kayak for the first time while on a cruise. At first I thought it would be difficult to paddle as a team but it was the most fun we 've had in awhile! The Perception Rambler has a bit of weight to it but between the two of us we can easily carry it to the water. The weight also lends itself to stability both getting into the kayak as well as during turbulence on the water. Overall construction and performance aside, it's beautiful! It's visible out on our local lakes and has held up over time with transporting and regular use. I highly recommend this kayak!

This is an absolutely excellent kayak for beginners and seasoned kayakers alike. The width of the Passage offers exceptional stability, while its shorter length makes it easy to maneuver through both large and small bodies of water. The seat is surprisingly comfortable even when sitting for 3+ hours. Although this is not classed as an angler kayak, the built- in paddle keeper makes it easy to bring a rod and reel along if desired. The back scupper holes also fit my poles perfectly, so they may as well be flush mounted rod holders! My only qualm with this yak is the lack of storage/a dry well- if it had that, it would be the perfect yak. This has been a great purchase, and I love that it fits both myself( 5' 1 '') and my 30lb pup. It's also fairly light and not as much of a pain to lug around as I expected, which is a big bonus!

Review: Great First Experience with the Quest Passage 100 I recently took my Quest Passage 100 out on my local neighborhood pond for the first time, and it performed beautifully. The kayak felt incredibly stable, even sitting on top, and paddling was smooth and easy. The departure was seamless, and the back support was very comfortable throughout my time on the water. There ’s plenty of legroom, which is a big plus, and the cup holder and fishing pole spots are well- placed and convenient. I especially love the storage area in the back—it ’s perfect for a cooler or any gear you need, and the bungee cords keep everything secure.
