If you are looking for a great PFD, then look no further than the Lure Angler 2 PFD from Old Town. This PFD is very comfortable to wear and has all the characteristics one would want from a vest style PFD. The pockets are large enough to hold a larger cell phone and there is plenty of places to keep your important gear( Whistle, Clippers, etc..) close at hand.
5
Ive utilized the Lure Angler 2 PFD for the last 4 years. It has plenty of storage for quick access gear IE hooks, weights, phone etc. It is light weight, breathable and has plenty of adjustment for any size angler. The design allows for comfortable seating while on Old Town kayaks. I would recommend this PFD to any angler.

Eagle Guy
I bought this for a 60ish mile canoe trip some 20 or so of my friends and I do every year. I 've never taken a PFD on this trip in previous years because it's typically low water. But we had gotten a boatload( see what I did there) of rain and the water was raging so I thought I should pick one up in a hurry. This was a rush buy, but it turned out to be far more comfortable than I had imagined. I hardly noticed I was wearing it even after having it on for 10+ hours a day. The pockets make it very convenient to have smaller items readily accessible on my chest. Unfortunately, on day 3 during a moderate rescue, I left the jacket on the river bank and finished the trip without it. And although this would n't be my first choice for white water, I will still buy another one because I liked it so much.

I have n't been in the water with it yet, but it fit well( I ordered a Large, I 'm 5' 10 '' tall and weigh 150 lbs) and felt comfortable. I intend to mostly use it for fishing from a fishing float tube or standing in water fly fishing wearing chest waders and it 'll work great for those purposes. Found the zipper to be a little bit difficult to get started( the padding down at the bottom obstructs the zipper a little bit but it works OK once you get it started. Nice pockets, but as a fisherman I could always use more!). Neither of those issues made me rate it below five stars. I looked around on other sites and this was the best PFD I could find after doing some research.

Fishing buoyancy aids are devices designed to provide flotation support while fishing. They help keep bait or lures at a desired depth in the water, making it easier to attract fish. These aids can also enhance safety by providing flotation for anglers in the water.
There are several types of fishing buoyancy aids, including floats, life vests, and specialized buoyancy devices. Floats can vary in size and shape, catering to different fishing techniques and water conditions. Life vests are designed to ensure safety while fishing, providing buoyancy and comfort.
Choosing the right buoyancy aid depends on your fishing style, the type of water you will be fishing in, and your personal safety requirements. Consider factors such as the buoyancy level, comfort, and adjustability of the aid. It's also important to think about the specific fishing techniques you plan to use.
Yes, fishing buoyancy aids can be used for various types of fishing, including freshwater and saltwater fishing. They are beneficial for techniques such as float fishing, trolling, and even kayak fishing. However, it's essential to select the right type of buoyancy aid that aligns with your specific fishing method.
Fishing buoyancy aids are typically made from durable, water-resistant materials that can withstand exposure to the elements. Common materials include high-density foam, nylon, and other synthetic fabrics. These materials not only provide buoyancy but also ensure longevity and performance in various fishing environments.
Fishing buoyancy aids enhance safety by providing flotation support in case of accidental falls into the water. Life vests, in particular, are designed to keep the wearer afloat and visible, reducing the risk of drowning. Using buoyancy aids allows anglers to fish with greater confidence, knowing they have an added layer of safety.
