I run a busy rental outfit. Our guests come in all shapes and sizes. The Outfitter Universal is our go to pfd. It fits pretty much all adults the big ones down to the 125 pounders. The 6 adjustable straps are long enabling us to fit the bigger guests and they cinch down to smaller chests( 125 pound). One of the great uses of the 6 adjustable straps is our guest bodies often are not the athletic types. Some are big up top, some big in the middle and some are big down lower. The 6 straps allow proper fit no matter where the space is needed. Another plus to the Outfitter Universal is it's easy to get the paddler some ventilation on hot days. The jacket rides well on the body allowing for day long comfortable paddling. We can buy any pfd and continue to use 150 of the Outfitter Universal. Hope you check them out. I prefer it over the stohlquist edge because it's center- zip, has two pockets so I can keep the phone in one and the keys in the other and avoid scratches, and is a bit more streamlined on the figure. The only minor negative is the handwarmers pockets are tight for my bigger hands when I have items in the pocket, but still appreciated.

PROS: Light& Comfy), Easily converts from auto to manual. Straw allows easy add and release of a little or a lot of air, as desired. Gram weight of CO2 cylinder( 24g) is TSA compliant for flying( must be 28g or less& go in carry- on, not checked). Make sure you 're reading GRAM and not mLiter on package. CONS: If inflated at all, the vest rides up a bit when I 'm vertical. I 'll devise webbing loops to go around thighs and connect to waist strap to improve. We had no confidence in the cheaper straw- operated vests that baked in our attic for 8 years. This year, being 57 and 67 y. o. and wanting to go further out, we upgraded. This is only vest I found with 1) cylinder small enough for TSA- rules AND 2) switches from auto to manual AND 3) has a straw. Rearming kit sold at Dicks too, but must be picked- up in store( maybe Amazon's different). It includes new CO2 cylinder, green Ready Clip, and yellow Bobbin( bobbin is needed in auto mode, because it dissolves when wet to trigger inflation). Clear and precise written instructions were all I needed to convert to manual. As to cost;$ 120 is worth it, AND in manual mode, I do n't think I ’ ll need to rearm unless I pull the 'inflate' tab.( On a fun note, inflate tab hanging at waist is labelled JERK, and it, so I ’ m essentially wearing a JERK name tag;-)) I ca n't speak to how easily it auto- inflates, but we ’ re intentionally submerging, so we don ’ t want auto- trigger. USCG compliance – Re: others ’ comments about whether auto- inflates are coastguard compliant. THEY ARE, with the proviso that wearer must take extra steps to inspect the PFD( personal flotation device) for soundness, be capable of operating it( age and cognitive ability) and use in appropriate situations where they 're likely to remain conscious so that can ensure they are head up- face up. // Snorkeling is one of those okay times. // I would not use in manual mode if I thought I might hit my head and not be able to pull cord( e. g., white- water rafting). For that I 'd choose a bulky 'inherently buoyant' device. Super- pleased with my purchase. Went out farther than ever this a. m. and saw Sea Turtles with hubby.:-)

This is so pretty and streamlined. Dare I say sexy, even? My true size recommendation was small. It ’s very snug. I probably should have gone with a medium but I can make it work. For the record I am 5 ’ 5 122 lbs with a 36 B bra size. If I had a bigger chest no way would this fit I really do love the design and material. It ’s great the way the straps are barely noticeable. I hope they make more of these in lighter colors, but the straps need to match like these do and I would buy more.

Went to get a second child the chest ring with attached arm floats. Found this instead and had to try it. Adjusting straps, sleeves, and no arm floats allows for more natural arm motion for beginning swimmers.

Tux wore this to Pups at the Pool in Oak Ridge and loved it! The life vest provided the security and self confidence he needed to float and thus begin his swim. He smiled and wagged his tail the whole afternoon and truely enjoyed wearing the vest.

I really love this life vest for my pups! I have two golden doodles, one is 60 pounds and the other is 50. I bought a large for my larger dog, and a medium for the smaller. The quality of this vest is exceptional. I love that it has the handle on the back, as well as a link for a leash. O'Brien never disappoints!

we just moved to a lake house. my golden retriever was used to streams but not open water. i bought her this vest. she swims comfortably. it is easy to get on and off. we feel safe while she wears it on the boat and swims on the open lake

I bought this this weekend for a trip to the cabin for the 4th of July.
