Great line.. it's the only floro that I use. Have tried many different brands and so far the best.. super strong abrasion resistant line that hold up well. Like all floro will have some memory after while but just spray it will reel magic and become soft again. The other guys who gave it one star must be doing something wrong like backlashes or leaving it out for the sun to bake it. I have never had any problems they said. I 've hauled alot of nice bass out of laydowns and bushes with this line. Dont let the 1 star reviews scare you away from it..

So far, I really like this Flourocarbon leader! Before I bought a new fishing rod and reel setup I was using the 180# steel leader( the stiff kind, all silver) and my Dad said that your leader might be spooking the fish( I was n't catching anything, I know how to work each of my lures appropriately for a specific situation- and I was up North on the border of Wisconsin& Minnesota- good fishing there/ here) so I decided for my new rod and reel setup to listen to my Dad so I tried the 130# 18 '' Flourocarbon leader; I thought they are clear and will be less visible under water and the fish will be less spooked,( which they were) plus I 've seen Musky angler Lee Thompson use them and give his input about them on fishing videos on YouTube, I think I 've seen Al Linder's son use the Flourocarbon leaders before also. Even though I am liking this leader( a lot) I am still curious how this plastic or Flourocarbon leader will hold up with HUGE Musky and Northern Pike going nuts and flipping out repeatedly. Because I will go with, or back to a dark color steel leader if need be. But so far this Flourocarbon leader works VERY WELL, the fish are not being spooked, since it's clear the fish will know to strike the lure and possibly not the silver steel leader, the Flourocarbon leader allows the action of the lures being used to work VERY WELL( the way the Flourocarbon is malliable). The Flourocarbon leader is pretty thick and strong and durable looking it also feels stronger than what you think it is. It's a 5 star from me so far, sometimes I even forget it is tied onto my PowerPro 80# braid on my fishing rod( so the `` being less visible part works ''). I fish at Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis, Minnesota and caught a little 22inch Northern Pike on a Rapala Slashbait( larger model, flashy bucktail, olive green color). But a couple days ago I had a follow up from a BIG fish at Lake Calhoun( fish was easily over 40inches could n't tell if it was a Musky or a Northern Pike, but it was BIG in length) on one of my newest lures that I bought from DSG( Strike King ProModel Series 10XD Crankbait- Chartreuse Sexy Shad- great lure for calling the Big Boys that lurk in the Deep). I think you will like the Flourocarbon leader if you give it a chance. I hoped this review helped.

Fluorocarbon leader line is a type of fishing line made from polyvinylidene fluoride, known for its low visibility underwater. It is commonly used as a leader due to its abrasion resistance and sensitivity, making it ideal for targeting fish in various environments. Anglers often prefer fluorocarbon for its ability to blend in with the water, increasing the chances of a successful catch.
Fluorocarbon leader line offers several advantages, including its near-invisibility in water, which helps prevent fish from being spooked. Additionally, it has a higher density than monofilament, allowing it to sink faster and providing better sensitivity for detecting bites. Its abrasion resistance also makes it suitable for use in rocky or rough environments.
The diameter of fluorocarbon leader line plays a crucial role in its performance, affecting both its visibility and strength. Thinner lines are less visible to fish, which can improve your chances of a catch, while thicker lines provide greater strength and abrasion resistance. Choosing the right diameter depends on the type of fish targeted and the fishing conditions.
Yes, fluorocarbon leader line is versatile and can be used effectively in both freshwater and saltwater fishing. Its resistance to UV rays and saltwater corrosion makes it suitable for various fishing environments. However, anglers should consider the specific conditions and fish species when selecting the appropriate line for their needs.
When selecting the strength of fluorocarbon leader line, consider the species of fish you are targeting, the fishing technique you will use, and the environment. Heavier lines are better suited for larger, stronger fish, while lighter lines may be more appropriate for finesse techniques or smaller species. It's important to match the line strength to your rod and reel setup for optimal performance.
