This stuff has been impossible to find in stores. I always had to order it. As with most people that fish a lot( 4+ times a week), we tend to be very particular about things. I have rods with braid, mono, and Florida for different applications. The ML spinning reels normally got 8lb Ande mono which has been great, but I always wanted something with less stretch. Small twitchbaits usually mean some line slack, which really plays havoc with braid after a while, especially in the wind. I really like the sufix advance. Lower stretch than regular mono, very supple, very smooth, decently tough, overall a great line. For the price, I think everyone should try it.
5
Dodgeguy
This is the best nonbraided line ever. Has less stretch than flouro and is more sensitive. Has extreme abrasion resistance but casts really well and far. Sufix hit a home run with this line. I just wish Dick's would have the green in stores.

Use this line alot it is easy to cast and very strong and sensitive for feeling light bites. I use the 4- 6- 8lb line so I ca n't comment on the heavier lines but I have pulled up quite a few branches off the bottom without the line breaking or the knot failing! Of course I have caught many nice sized bass and pickerel on this line. I really reccomend this line for finnese fishing nedrig and neko rig and many other applications. Have no idea why this line is not available in bulk spools but I hope they will at some time! Try this line it is really good line!

I purchased this line due to its affordability, yet I was pleasantly surprised at its performance. Although it was only rated as 10 pounds, I landed a monster 14 pound channel catfish with no problem at all( other than the fact that I almost snapped my rod). I was even fishing from a pier at the time, so it hung in the air writhing for several seconds until I was able to lift it over the railing. I have a new favorite manufacturer!

Fish a lot for Smallmouth in the local rivers. This stuff holds up great in 6 lb. on light equipment. It takes a lot of punishment and holds a knot. Never lost a hooked fish yet to breakage or slipping a tie. Good feel of everything.

I just noticed that no one has reviewed this fine line! I 've used it for a few seasons now for Lake Trout, Salmon and Walleyes and it is the best line I have ever used, and I 've used alot! It ties nice, does n't tangle when pulled off the reel, lays flat on the water and I 've caught some nice fish and lost less that one hand count over the years because of line failure. I 've had hooks pull right out of the lure but the knot and line held. I use 12 lb for salmon w/6 or 8 lb leader( same type as main line) and 17 lb for lake trout w/12 or 14 lb leader. I respool 8 rods every year and always did when I used Brand X but the results are definitely better with Trilene XT low vis monofilament.

I have been around the world... I ’ ve seen different cultures, tried different lifestyles, I ’ ve reinvented myself more times than I can count. I ’ ve seen and done all of the best things that life can possibly offer, but this line right here tops it all. Great line.. it's the only floro that I use. Have tried many different brands and so far the best.. super strong abrasion resistant line that hold up well. Like all floro will have some memory after while but just spray it will reel magic and become soft again. The other guys who gave it one star must be doing something wrong like backlashes or leaving it out for the sun to bake it. I have never had any problems they said. I 've hauled alot of nice bass out of laydowns and bushes with this line. Dont let the 1 star reviews scare you away from it..

I 've been using p line off and on last few years, but I can definitely say the pline co polymer is great. I normally fish 6lb spinning and 12lb casting for lmb and smb and it works great in the rivers and lakes/ponds. Very clear under water and it has good feel, not as good as flouro but close. Professional grade fluorocarbon at price you can afford! I use this product for bass and inshore salt water fishing. Low visibility, superior strength. Great all around fishing line!
5
Roman69
I am a saltwater fisherman, and I have never fished for trout, so I figured I ’ d try and give myself an advantage over my coworker who is a trout fisherman, since I use florocarbon for my leaders and it is very effective when I fish anything from Porgies and Blackfish to Stripers and Blues,( and it is lethal with the Stripers) So we fished the rivers in North Jersey in the spring and on my 1st cast I was able to land a 15 ” rainbow, I ended with 6 fish within 3 hours and kept 3 and my buddy ended up catching 3. I explained to him why I use fluorocarbon and now he uses it religiously, and his catches have increased

I 've used Trilene line in the past but had never tried Big Game Green Fishing Line. I spooled- up my shore fishing reel with 15# line for use at the Outer Banks in N. Carolina. This line did not twist or kink and I could long- cast with ease. This stuff is strong without being stiff. May even consider spooling my Bass rigs with Big Game due to its toughness.

5
Cperk11
I have used tons of different brands of fluorocarbon, mono, and braid, and the Berkeley big game is probably the best all around like there is. What's nice about it is that it does n't cost much, and they give you a ton of line on a role. I fish bass tournaments every week, and after every tournament i reline all 17 of my lews reels. I 've used the green color for awhile now, I recently found that they also make a brown berkley big game, and for here in Alabama, the brown that I 'm bout to start using is perfect considering all the dirty muddy waters we have. My only regret is that I ca n't find the brown anywhere except online, and Walmart is the only store that carries the brown that I 've found so far, but if u want a good all around line that will hold some 5- 10 lb bass 15- 20 Berkeley big game is the way to go. I go through about 1 roll of green 15 lb test and 1 roll of 20 lb test a week, and in that 2 rolls, I 've spent less than 15$ and I know by changing the line every week that I wo n't lose any fish.

I started using this line the Spring of 2014 and just replaced the old line with a new 300yards/30 Lbs spool. Casting is smooth, tangle free, almost ivisible in the water. The diameter is a fraction of mono. Strength, being a factor, is great. I have nothing bad to say about it. However, my last purchase of line, I was so angry with it's use that I threw it away. I think the name of it was pro source. The line was braided, red, and awful. I should have returned it, but did n't.
5
DSZ420
This was my first jump to braided line, and I went into it with some reservations. I 'd heard that braided line is too stiff, creates a lot of birdsnests, and is costly. I can say that this product did none of the above. I am able to cast a good 25 to 30 yards extra distance over using a regular monofilament line. I am not losing nearly as many lures when fishing for bass around fallen trees and rip- rap. After the first weekend of using this brand I went back to Dick's and bought more to respool my other poles.

East to use and hold tight and secure. Was worried about it affecting casting/turnover but it's like it's not even there. For the price I definitely suggest grabbing a pack.

I bought this last month to replace mono line on my reels. I was tired of the birds nest. This braided line cast smoothly. Already landed a bass on it.

Review of the Strike King Contra Braid fishing line that I purchased for night fishing. I needed a mid strength braid line for night fishing. 50 lb test was too wide and 30 was to thin, 40 lb test was just right. Good casting distance!
$19.99-$21.99
When you are out on the water and it happens you can keep fishing. ... Superior braid ... This is hands down best quality leadcore trolling line you can buy and it just plainly catches more

I bought this as a back up, I troll for Trout and Land Locks. If you fish, you know things can go bad. When you are out on the water and it happens you can keep fishing. I catch more fish on lead core than I do on down riggers.

This is unbelievably strong line. I also like the fact it has very little memory. I can start the day with a new leader( with coils) and end the day with the leader completely straight. This is a great line. Also, when I see the package of 3 I get them, too. Keep up the good work. Danny Sturm

Beginners should consider factors such as line type, strength, and ease of use when selecting a fishing line. Monofilament lines are often recommended for their flexibility and ease of handling, while fluorocarbon lines offer better invisibility underwater. It's also important to choose a line that matches the type of fishing being done, whether it's freshwater or saltwater.
The type of fishing line can significantly impact a beginner's fishing success. Different lines have unique properties, such as stretch, visibility, and abrasion resistance, which can influence how well they perform in various fishing conditions. Understanding these differences helps beginners select the right line for their specific fishing techniques and environments.
Monofilament fishing lines are known for their stretch and buoyancy, making them a forgiving choice for beginners. In contrast, fluorocarbon lines are less visible underwater and have a lower stretch, providing better sensitivity and control. Each type has its advantages, and the choice often depends on the fishing conditions and personal preference.
Yes, different types of fishing lines are recommended based on the fishing style and target species. For example, lighter lines are typically used for freshwater fishing, while heavier lines may be necessary for saltwater or big game fishing. Understanding the requirements of the specific fishing scenario can help beginners select the most suitable line.
Line strength is crucial for beginners as it determines the line's ability to handle the weight of the fish being targeted. It's important to choose a line with an appropriate strength rating that matches the fishing technique and species. This ensures that the line can withstand the stress of catching fish without breaking.
