I use this brand mono for all my rigs from double drops, teaser, sabiki rigs... etc. It has decent abrasion resistance, invisible and has endured all my striper, blues fishing and even on double hookups held up well. I use 30# mostly but also use 20# or 40# for my rigging needs. Great value for the performance and amount of line you get.

This stuff has been impossible to find in stores. I always had to order it. As with most people that fish a lot( 4+ times a week), we tend to be very particular about things. I have rods with braid, mono, and Florida for different applications. The ML spinning reels normally got 8lb Ande mono which has been great, but I always wanted something with less stretch. Small twitchbaits usually mean some line slack, which really plays havoc with braid after a while, especially in the wind. I really like the sufix advance. Lower stretch than regular mono, very supple, very smooth, decently tough, overall a great line. For the price, I think everyone should try it.
5
Dodgeguy
This is the best nonbraided line ever. Has less stretch than flouro and is more sensitive. Has extreme abrasion resistance but casts really well and far. Sufix hit a home run with this line. I just wish Dick's would have the green in stores.

Use this line alot it is easy to cast and very strong and sensitive for feeling light bites. I use the 4- 6- 8lb line so I ca n't comment on the heavier lines but I have pulled up quite a few branches off the bottom without the line breaking or the knot failing! Of course I have caught many nice sized bass and pickerel on this line. I really reccomend this line for finnese fishing nedrig and neko rig and many other applications. Have no idea why this line is not available in bulk spools but I hope they will at some time! Try this line it is really good line!

I 've used Trilene line in the past but had never tried Big Game Green Fishing Line. I spooled- up my shore fishing reel with 15# line for use at the Outer Banks in N. Carolina. This line did not twist or kink and I could long- cast with ease. This stuff is strong without being stiff. May even consider spooling my Bass rigs with Big Game due to its toughness.

Berkely Big Game Fishing line is an extremely dependable product that has never let me down in many years of fishing in New England. The color green is a great all around color for Mass. salt water fish. It is my go to line for Striped Bass.....

I have used tons of different brands of fluorocarbon, mono, and braid, and the Berkeley big game is probably the best all around like there is. What's nice about it is that it does n't cost much, and they give you a ton of line on a role. I fish bass tournaments every week, and after every tournament i reline all 17 of my lews reels. I 've used the green color for awhile now, I recently found that they also make a brown berkley big game, and for here in Alabama, the brown that I 'm bout to start using is perfect considering all the dirty muddy waters we have. My only regret is that I ca n't find the brown anywhere except online, and Walmart is the only store that carries the brown that I 've found so far, but if u want a good all around line that will hold some 5- 10 lb bass 15- 20 Berkeley big game is the way to go. I go through about 1 roll of green 15 lb test and 1 roll of 20 lb test a week, and in that 2 rolls, I 've spent less than 15$ and I know by changing the line every week that I wo n't lose any fish.

Fish a lot for Smallmouth in the local rivers. This stuff holds up great in 6 lb. on light equipment. It takes a lot of punishment and holds a knot. Never lost a hooked fish yet to breakage or slipping a tie. Good feel of everything.

I just noticed that no one has reviewed this fine line! I 've used it for a few seasons now for Lake Trout, Salmon and Walleyes and it is the best line I have ever used, and I 've used alot! It ties nice, does n't tangle when pulled off the reel, lays flat on the water and I 've caught some nice fish and lost less that one hand count over the years because of line failure. I 've had hooks pull right out of the lure but the knot and line held. I use 12 lb for salmon w/6 or 8 lb leader( same type as main line) and 17 lb for lake trout w/12 or 14 lb leader. I respool 8 rods every year and always did when I used Brand X but the results are definitely better with Trilene XT low vis monofilament.

mattyd24

turned my resonator banjo into an open- back. took off the steel strings and restrung it using this mono leader in open g tuning; 20lb: 5th& 1st strings, 30lb: 3rd& 2nd strings, 40lb: 4th string. once the leader stopped stretching& finally settled in, the banjo stays in tune. if i ever break a string, 50yds will last a lifetime.

I have purchased this to use on my light tackle inshore rods a while back as leader material. I use the 15lb test variety in a 3- 6' leader configuration depending on where I 'm fishing and what the structure is like below. I 've landed quite a few monster Jacks using this leader material with minimal wear and tear to the leader. I have lost one hard fighting blue runner but that's because I failed to inspect the leader after a hard jack fight. Have yet to have lost anything else since using this leader material. It does disappear quite nicely in the water.

Good Stuff! very strong.... Never had any issues. It was put to the test a couple of months ago ran into some small Black Tip Sharks. They where hitting my bait pretty hard and leaders I made where holding up. I was able to get they to the boat to DE hook them. And was able to use the leader again for a couple more catches before changing it..

Strong monofilament fishing line offers excellent strength and durability, making it suitable for various fishing conditions. It provides good abrasion resistance, which is essential when fishing in rocky or snag-prone areas. Additionally, its stretch properties help absorb shock, enhancing your ability to land fish without breaking the line.
Strong monofilament fishing line is generally more flexible and easier to handle compared to braided or fluorocarbon lines. It has a higher stretch factor, which can be beneficial for certain fishing techniques. However, it may not be as sensitive as other lines, making it important to choose the right type based on your fishing style and target species.
When selecting a strong monofilament fishing line, consider factors such as line strength, diameter, and visibility. The line's pound test rating indicates its strength, while a thinner diameter can improve casting distance and reduce drag in the water. Additionally, consider the color of the line, as some colors may be more visible to fish than others.
Strong monofilament fishing line is versatile and can be used for various fishing styles, including freshwater and saltwater fishing. It is particularly effective for techniques such as spinning, baitcasting, and trolling. Its durability makes it suitable for targeting species like bass, trout, and even larger saltwater fish.
Weather conditions can impact the performance of strong monofilament fishing line, particularly temperature and humidity. Cold weather can make the line stiffer, while high humidity may increase its flexibility. It's important to choose a line that performs well in the specific conditions you plan to fish in, ensuring optimal casting and sensitivity.
