Best Paddle Ever! I started with a Gamma paddle prior Covid. I decided to enter US Open in Flushing. For whatever reason, my paddle was not on list of regulated paddles, so I upgraded! Best Ever. This is probably the best paddle ever. I now own 6 as after a lot of use, I buy a new one!!!

Overall the 505 has been an excellent paddle for me, I have used this paddle for two years as this is my second one. The paddle has great balance and control and the long handle allows two handed. Backhands, it also has a wonderful grip. I have played with many other popular paddles from different companies and this paddle by far has the best overall qualities of control and power.

I 've played with the 505 for about a year. The 505 does many things very well including pop, consistency, leverage, and control. Having played with many of the top brands the thing that sets the 505 apart is its large and consistent sweet- spot. This effects your entire game but for me it tremendously helped with the 3rd/5th/7th shot drops. I believe this is a great paddle for everyone but especially the 3. 5- 4. 0 player trying to progress forward to 4. 5. The paddle produces average spin which I think is actually a positive for this level of player, forcing them to focus on form and consistency over creating MAD spin. I coach and play at 5. 0. Gamma Sports, do not stop making this paddle. After nearly a year of playing with the Hellbender, it's still my go to paddle. The balance of control and power are ideal for the player who enjoys setting up their points. Spin is very good. Being a top spinner, I 'm pleased with amount of spin still generated with it. Tried and true. This paddle has been around for a while. I ’ m not looking to compete just to get gradually better. The length of it has helped me reach higher for lobs and low skimmers; the surface has enabled me to put a nice spin on the ball with little effort. My first paddle was the Onyx Z5, a very popular entry level paddle that has a mostly square shape. I am only 5' 7 '' tall and I found that I was just missing balls over my head or to the side by about an inch. This elongated paddle gives me the extra reach and I now get balls that I would not get with a shorter paddle. It fells solid and has good power and control.

I have throughly enjoyed the obsidian 13mm. The paddle has intense grit that can really grip the ball to apply spin. Even after many days playing with the paddle and lots of use the paddle still maintains its gritty surface.

I especially like 2 things about this Paddle: 1. the Graphite surface is unpainted and seems to give me better control of the Ball 2. It has a surprisingly thick handle that works well for me even though I do n't have large hands.
