I bought this 6 months ago and have playing with it non stop. I 'm about a 4. 5 in skill level and can just about place the ball how ever I want to. I love the shape and style of the paddle. The length is great for quick hands up at the kitchen and for the hard to reach defense shots that make you take a step back or lean just out of reach. The shorter handle works for me. My only complaint I 'd like for Onix to upgrade the handle strength and overall materials for the core of the C1 Summit. This shape and style of paddle could easily compete against the quality paddles of Selkirk Vanguard and the Paddletek Bantam and Tempest. Onix team, if your listening, I hope that this is something being discussed for future development, I 'd be happy to be an ambassador for this style of paddle, I 'm looking to start competing this year in NC and hopefully other states as well. My wife and I love this paddle. It has so much better qualities versus our other one. It ’s lighter, it has a larger surface area, it ’s longer, it has a better grip, and it provides a much more solid strike and control of the ball with minimal effort. I 've only played with Joola paddles, starting with the Hyperion 2 last year, then Perseus 2 amidst all the Gen 3 churn. Just got the Perseus 4, and it's definite upgrade- a much better paddle than I am player! The balance is definitely different than the Perseus 2, much lower and feels better to me. It has more power for returns and drives, but just playing with it twice I rarely hit it long( which I was doing all the time with the Perseus 2, while I adjusted to it from the Hyperion). Volleys are great, and best of all it has really good feel on drops and dinks. Spin is good too- you can see in the photo that the spin does n't come from surface grit so much as a woven pattern on the surface, which hopefully will last a long time. Great paddle- recommended!

I was looking to upgrade my paddle and asked the wife if she wanted something different. She described length and control; this paddle fits those criteria to a tee. She picked up a little more pace on her ball and manages the kitchen better with less pop ups. I have to work a little harder than before and have threatened to send it back( just kidding). Bought this paddle in Dec 2021 to replace a less expensive paddle my daughter permanently borrowed. I was an advanced beginner at the time. This paddle has grown with me over the months. I am now ranked at 3. 5. I 've tried several other paddles over the months, but none quite delivers in ball control and large sweet spot. This is most helpful up at the net, ball speed, and with shot placement. I also now appreciate the grip which holds up better than most, with no stickiness. This paddle feels like a lot of the Pro paddles that I ’ ve played with and for less than half the cost. In terms of playability this paddle has a longer feel to it giving you more reach without sacrificing the sweet spot. Overall highly recommend this paddle for both beginner/intermediate players and even more advanced players that don ’ t want to spend pro paddle money.

This paddle has great balance between power and touch. I was previously using the Premier Raw Carbon 14 and really liked that paddle. But once I started using the Hype X Pro more and more, I felt it gave me a lot more touch at the net but provided me with solid baseline power. The texture which is slightly rough did immediately allow us to hit slices and increase spin which had been a struggle with our existing equipment. Opted for the lightweight model. I currently have four other Selkirk paddles and this is my favorite. My serves have more pace behind them, and double hand backhands have improved due to the elongated shape. The spins this paddle can create are incredible.

The Franklin Dynasty12 FeatherWeight is my lightest and most favorite paddle to date. As an Advanced Intermediate Women in early 60s I love the longer handle for a two handed backhand, and the elongated head for a larger sweet spot. As it ’s the lightest weight it feels less like a club and more like an extension of my arm. The light weight is providing head speed at the kitchen for inevitably fire fights while allowing me the opportunity to control the kitchen line by slowing the rally down. The only issue right now? I can ’ t find it in the Sky Blue one to buy.
