One small tank of propane lasts about 3- 4 hrs on low setting. The only time I ’ ve used medium setting is to cook and have never used the high setting. A little bit of a hiccup at trying to start it. Once I opened booklet on how to start it it was excellent. Heat Hog Rules when you 're in need of heat Performance is Great so far. Do n't know yet on how long fuel uses. Experimenting on hose adapter I purchased as well. I got 1- Gallon plus bought a 30lb tank. Ca n't wait too hook up heat Hog to 30llb bought. [ This little heater really packs a wallop. Once you connect your propane tank it is extremely easy to light and use. It warms up really quickly and radiates everywhere. It ’s lightweight so it's easy to carry around and maneuver in and out of your vehicle. There is a little storage space which I can store some gloves or a mask but that is about it. The storage space is pretty tight. The only drawback is that if you use it indoors you will set off your fire alarms rather quickly.
