[ I can ’ t find anything bad to say about my Ultrex. After living with the Edge 45 for two years this is like going to a Cadillac. The thrust is awesome and the control is just spot on. Then add in the spot lock, I can pull in between two docks, spot lock and fish both docks fully. It was semi easy to install but only because I had never done one. Great product and such a Great tool for my boat.

[ Upgraded my boat and needed to upgrade my trolling motor. I was looking for a unit priced well that still has all the features. My last boat had a Terrova and it always worked without issue so I decided to go for another. Love all the features and third party accessories available. While the included remote is feature rich, it was too big for my liking. A quick search resulted in the availability of a micro remote. I now have two remotes I use simultaneously, the original for my passenger, and the micro for myself. Seems like they either listen to customers or personally use these products themselves. I see 15- 20 year old boats still rocking their original Minn Kota. That's a good indication of longevity.

[ I purchased my Instinct a few months ago. After a software update my motor works flawlessly. I have had two Ultera motors and both failed after a year or two. I have it on a 19 ’ Carolina Skiff with 24 volt system. The spot lock is great and the motor deploys and stows quickly. 👍

[ I love how this trolling motor is made with such a rigid and beefy design so it stands up to all the elements. It is extremely smooth on stow and deploy and is so responsive that you never have to worry about reaction time. The spot lock feature is flawless and the new features that I ’ m still learning to use are a real bonus!

I have had this trolling motor for 2 years, and never had any issue with it at all. Works great, and my 187 Scout is like a cruise missile for finding and staying on the fishing spot. I use it in fresh and salt water, and it works better than I could have imagined. I think a lot of the negative reviews are install issues or abuse. Sorry folks this is an amazing feat of engineering.

They can automatically maintain a set course, making it easier to focus on fishing or other activities without constantly adjusting the motor. Additionally, many models provide features like anchor mode and route recording, which can significantly improve your overall experience.
GPS bow mount trolling motors are designed for various water conditions, including freshwater and saltwater environments. They are particularly effective in calm waters, but many models also perform well in choppy conditions. It's essential to choose a motor that matches your specific usage, whether it's for lakes, rivers, or coastal areas.
These motors provide anglers with the ability to maintain a specific position or follow a predetermined path, which is crucial for effective fishing. By using GPS technology, they can help you stay over productive fishing spots without the need for constant manual adjustments. This allows for a more focused and enjoyable fishing experience.
When selecting a GPS bow mount trolling motor, consider features such as thrust power, battery life, and ease of installation. Additional functionalities like spot-lock, route planning, and remote control capabilities can also enhance usability. It's important to assess your specific needs and the type of water you'll be navigating to choose the right model.
Most GPS bow mount trolling motors are designed for straightforward installation, often featuring mounting brackets and clear instructions. Operating these motors typically involves using a remote control or a smartphone app, making it user-friendly. However, it's advisable to familiarize yourself with the motor's features and controls to maximize its potential.
The lifespan of a GPS bow mount trolling motor can vary based on usage, maintenance, and environmental conditions. Generally, with proper care and regular maintenance, these motors can last several years. Factors such as exposure to saltwater, storage practices, and battery care can significantly influence their longevity.
