The Approach G80 is an amazing device. Excellent accuracy on the course, scorecard is easy to input, and the radar is phenomenal for under$ 500. It ’s easier to use than my phone( and uses less battery- 14% usage on my last round, so maybe 6- 7 rounds before recharging) and the radar along with digital rounds makes the driving range very satisfying. While you can also measure your shots, the device does not store them. It also measures just distance and doesn ’ t ask for club used therefore this system doesn ’ t offer recommended club selection. This is a shame but if you use all of the other parts of it appropriately you ’ ll soon know exactly what club you need to hit. Overall, very satisfied with this product.

Billnann92
I bought this after several reviews about this product. I am not disappointed, if you are looking for a way to track your shots( launch, ball speed)..., on the practice range, then this is what you should buy.

AlpineRB
We purchased this so we could practice during the stay at home orders. The shot monitor is great for the price. The yardages are close to what you would expect and it was so much fun to play virtual rounds.

Salt Boy
[ I bought the eTrex 32x last month. I especially like the' tracks' feature where I can see exactly the path I have just traveled. This feature has been really helpful on BLM land where their might be many crisscrossing off road dirt paths. Finding the correct ones that you took previously is critical. The tracks feature makes it easy. This GPS is also super accurate. In my initial test I took it on a walk with my dog. Looking back at the tracks I could see where I walked on the sidewalk vs. on the road vs the other side of the road( single lane road). Overall a great little GPS. The only downside is that the screen seems a little small, but that is what you get when you purchase a small unit for outdoor use.

PhilAK
[ I bought this as an upgrade from a etrex 20. Mostly used for geocaching and backpacking it does the job extremely well. It plays well with Expert GPS.

[ To begin, I have the navigational ability of a drunk 10 year old. After getting a little too turned around in the BWCA on my last trip I decided I prefer my canoe adventures without heckling from wife and we settled on purchasing this bad boy! Easy to use and durable. Battery life is a big plus too as I had this thing on and open most of the time on all of our paddles across big water. It gave me the peace of mind I needed by making it virtually impossible to get lost out there. The Garmin BWCA overlay maps are totally worth it too if you are thinking about it. Going places is easy, knowing where they are is hard. 11/10 would buy again.

[ So far, this little unit seems like a great item. Battery life appears good so far, and it has preloaded maps that will work for most. Once I got used to the programs to make maps, paths and such.. I was able to put together a very good set up for an up coming trip. The bad or expected if you already know about GPS's. They are built on like a decade's old tech and they function like a flip phone. These day's most people have their phone on them and generally it works better if you have planned ahead to throw on a ton of downloaded maps, have a ruggedized case and super long battery life. I personally bought this because on a recent trip, we got a bit off of the map we had. We had a general idea where we were going but I had to try to bring up my phone a few times to get maps and positioning. It was lucky that we were on a hill in a bald so I could get signal at all. long story short, my phone battery took a hit and we got lucky that we were able to find the appropriate maps and got back on course. This light weight device will allow me to get my position, look at local trails and measure distance. That's worth the money and the weight.

Very accurate GPS and has the feature for score keeping during the round. I use this with my laser finder for the most accurate distance to the pin as well as front, back, and middle distances on the green. There is an app that is available on my cell phone for wind conditions and other features but I do n't tend to use it during my rounds. Love the solar powered feature and never have to worry about running out of power.
5
Anthony S
This unit, though only monochrome. works about the same as the Approach G6. The 6 was in color, but it lacked quite a bit to my favorite unit, the Approach G8. The Approach G20 is, for what it has in its board( or in it's software), a very good handheld. I found the wind application to extremely handy when selecting a club. Hopefully, Garmin will come out with a unit that is as versatile as the G8 with the same power options as are in the G20. Overall, the Approach G20 is a well rounded unit that I can recommend.

I have had the Garmin G82 for a couple of weeks and it has been great. From locating the course I am playing to using the launch monitor features it has been very easy to use. AlexC
Bought this a few weeks ago and have only used it at the driving range. I really wanted to know my swing speed as I practiced as well as other data that could show if I was being consistent with my swings. The unit works as advertised! Swing speed, ball speed, distances( carry and total) are all calculated for each swing. Each of my clubs is currently tracked using the CT- 10 sensors. The data transfers immediately to the Garmin golf app for review after the session. The only issue I 've had is the occasional freezing of the unit when switching clubs which happens once or twice during a driving range session. It pauses for a bit, then gets back to the session. I 've never lost the data though, which is good. If I could change one thing it would be the bulkiness of the product. It's big but rugged- I doubt it would break if it feel out of your bag or cart. Would buy again.

Its predecessor, a Forerunner 45, served me well for about five years, but it was getting difficult to charge( I think it was the contact points, but not really sure). Replacing a 25 year old fish finder. the price point of the HELIX 7 is perfect for what i need. having both summer and ice transducers, so i can use it year round. to spend 3- 4 times more just to get a `` big '' screen is simply not worth it. I 've been wanting to upgrade my computer from and Edge 520 for a while now and I 'm glad I bought the 850. Set up was a breeze as it transferred all my settings, screens, and even sensors from my old computer through Garmin Connect. I did have to tweak some settings to maximize battery life while balancing visibility. I like to see the metrics while riding, so did n't want the backlight to ever turn off, so I adjusted the brightness low enough to see the screen in the sunlight while keeping the backlight on permanently. I have n't even scratched the surface with all options available. I do n't use the maps very often for navigating because I mostly ride in areas I know. I do like the feature that alerts you when a sharp turn is coming up on the road or trail. The touchscreen is very responsive and easier to swipe between screens while riding than pushing buttons on the side. I 've connected my Di2 so I can use my shifters the change screen and even ring the digital bell. This is a great computer and I recommend it.

Steve#71
This watch replaced by old Approach S60 which I had for many years. The battery life is fantastic and the features are very good. The enhancements to show distance to hazards is very useful. The only negative is the watch band. Once on it is very comfortable with its velcro connection. My hand barely fits through the band to take it on or off and if I pull the end of the band through the link, it is very hard to get back on with one hand. I may have to buy an aftermarket band to replace it. This was supposed to be the large/extra large model.
5
Bogey Rick
Finally a golf watch with the size and features I wanted. It is the right size on my wrist. It does not interfere with my golf swing. It is easy to read in sunlight without reading glasses. I can easily keep score on my watch. I thought I would want a silicone band but have come to really love the stock band. Those with a large hand might need to work at it a bit to get it over your hand. I love that you can really customize the watch face with the information you want using the ConnectIQ App. I wear it every day. It is a great looking watch. AMOLED display means it can be on all the time and still have reasonable battery life. It also works go gamify my other activities by tracking not only golf but also walking and pickleball. I am very happy with my Approach® S50.

The lure charge function is really handy. ... I also like the automatic transducer angle selection of the unit. ... It does have great separation capabilities. ... I particularly like the clarity of the screens and the split screen

While I 've only had three opportunities to fish with this locator since I 've purchased it, it seems to perform very well. I particularly like the clarity of the screens and the split screen option. The clarity on the flasher screen is so much better than a traditional flasher unit. It does have great separation capabilities. The lure charge function is really handy. Especially after my buddy dropped his lure charging flash light down the hole! I also like the automatic transducer angle selection of the unit. I must admit I would like an even wider transducer angle for shallow water applications. I do still have much to learn about this product. To that end, I do wish a detailed operations manual was included. I am looking forward to discovering its full capabilities and applications. So far this product meets my expectations( which are high) for a Humminbird product.

Just bought the Edge 540 to replace my 530 which replaced my 520. I 've liked each of them but find they reach a point where the battery is lacking and is n't easily replaceable. Setting up the 540 was easy due to the ability to simply scan a code and virtually all my data was saved to the new unit. As with the 530, this unit connects to my Orbea Rise E mountain bike which provides precise info about battery range and usage. There are new screen layout options, the unit reacts more quickly and GPS is more accurate. Battery life is expected to be much improved as well. Aside from that, I 've always appreciated the size and appearance of these units.

The Helix 7 with GPS, Mega down imaging, and Mega side imaging has been a phenomenal addition to my kayak fishing. I no longer feel like I am fishing blindly in the winter when the fish go deep. The `` Mega '' provides extremely detailed views of submerged structure, bottom composition, vegetation, and identify fish well beyond what I imagined possible with this unit. The included Humminbird Basemaps have helped me navigate some of the larger lakes, and the autochart live feature has enabled me to create my own maps of the smaller local lakes I fish. Installation was pretty straightforward. The Helix 7 user interface is friendly. There are numerous videos on YouTube to help you install the Helix 7, navigate the menus and I interpret the maps.

This Helix Chirp Mega SI GPS G4 was the perfect choice for me. The size is perfect for my boat and the screen is awesome. All the features will get figured out as it gets used more. The install was pretty easy with help from a friend.

RichM805
The best speaker purchase I ’ ve made in a few years. The yardage numbers are very visible and covers front back and middle of the greens. If you keep the app open on your phone you get a 2d and 3d look at the hole. The only downfall is if you ’ re an approximate guy and need the exact number it doesn ’ t give you that. But overall very worth it.

Comfortable. Nice form factor, no one knows it's not a regular watch. Acquires satellite fast. Has all the courses I frequent. Very accurate distance to hole, hazards. Controls are simple. Everything I wanted in a basic GPS. Battery life seems very good. Wish it had a cover for charging port, but does n't seem to be a major issue. Like that it gives u time and date, and sunrise/sunset info.

Easy to use because the Golf Galaxy associate set it up for me, disabling the features I don ’ t want- notifications and scoring uploads- and showed me how to use the features I do want. Really like the measure distance and layup functions. The availability of elapsed time and distance traveled info after the end round prompt is cool.

We 're in the middle of winter so I 've only been able to use it a few times, but coming from a long stint with the Garmin 530 and a few months trying out a Wahoo Bolt, the new 550 is a big upgrade. Beautiful screen that makes it possible to have a lot more data on your main screen without feeling squished. It's obviously much faster, registering elevation change without lag and booting up quickly. The general complaint with these has been shorter battery life due to the new screen, but I 'm never going to be out longer than 4- 5 hours, so I think the issue is moot for most users. I 'm happy- ca n't wait to pair it with a RearVue 820!

The Garmin 550 is everything that I needed and more.

If you use any Garmin watch, this Edge works the same. Very easy to use and to be honest, it has more stuff integrated in it that I do n't use. Far exceeds my expectations.

Irondad Coaching
I have had this unit for about a month now, and I am enjoying it. I was a little worried that the brighter screen would kill the battery faster, but the battery has been holding up quite well. I bought this unit because it originally did not pair well with my Garmin 530, but it does a very good job with the new Garmin 820. I am really enjoying the combination, and I do like seeing the two lanes of traffic on the Varia and watching the cars actually go around me and change lanes on the screen. It is pretty nice. Overall, this is a nice unit, and I would definitely recommend it. I am a little confused why they do not put a touch screen on all the new ones, but I guess that helps to keep the cost down. I wish this one had a bike bell, but that is just kind of frivolous. Overall, this is a nice unit, and I am enjoying it.

Alec
Just got this and have used it for 3 rounds now. It ’s an amazing piece of technology to have on the course. It is accurate and very easy to tag the pin. The amount of different yardages you can get in an instant is awesome. At first, I was hesitant about looking at a screen rather than through a lens.. and I will say Garmin does not really tell you this in their advertising. However, if you compare this side by side with a Bushnell, you ’ ll notice that the screen actually brightens things up. When I ’ m shooting a pin that ’s in the shade, it is much easier to see the pin than with a traditional laser rangefinder. Also, I adapted to looking at the screen very quickly, and don ’ t mind it now. Overall, I think this gives you way more for your money than spending$ 400-$ 500 just to get pin distances. Would 100% recommend this!
5
Tigerjk
Happy I purchased it. Simple to Navigate and carry with ones golf bag.
5
Dbart1
Have used the laser about 10 rounds now. The accuracy of the GPS is awesome, sometimes from over 350, it is pretty hard to get the flag but most of us are n't flag hunting from that range. The pin seeker works well but not sure really needed with the 2D layout on screen. Most of the time( 8/10) the line across the green to show approximate location of the flag on the green works. When it does n't, I think trusting the approach view with front, back and carry over bunkers is accurate enough to use. Wind feature does n't work unless Garmin app is on and active but the app overall is n't as good as many other to track scores and other date. But turn it on to get wind speed and direction. The only thing I do n't like is that it is rechargeable, and not battery. It last's about 2. 75 rounds so be sure to have the cord with you to charge if needed. It does charge really quick if needed. Since the GPS follows what hole you are on, if you spray to other fairway or off too far, the GPS thinks you are on the next hole. You will need to use more of laser to get landing area. I have n't tried changing holes inside laser but maybe it would work if followed with the app?

I radioactive the Venue 2+ with the 570 Forerunner... it's a real transition to say the least... learning curve not too bad. It would be nice to have this on all the Garmin watches... then i would n't have had to down soooooooo much... it is however, a really great watch and good improvement on the venue 2+... the 47 size is excellent!!

As the end of my first month approaches, I wonder how I ever got by with a Garmin watch before! Went with the Forerunner 570 for the added features, and I 've been loving the daily outlooks and Garmin Coach training. I have run close to a dozen half marathons prior to deciding to upgrade my smart watch and register for my first marathon this coming October. So far the training plan it has recommended for me has been great and I also really like the race predictor feature! Great battery life as well. So far I am very impressed, and hope as I continue to use it and grow with it, that it continues to live up to my expectations!

I purchased this unit a few months ago. I find it very user friendly as well as easy to install. The features are easy to navigate through. The clarity on the sonars and imaging is very good. The only disappointment is that if Garmin went as far as putting GPS Seaton the unit then why not add mapping…. This would make this a perfect low cost unit for the average weekend fisherman/woman. I have removed this unit after 2 trips out and replaced it with the UHD Echo Map.

I 'm very happy with the Forerunner 265. Bought this watch as a replacement to my old Forerunner 235 that served me well for the last 10 years. I 'm really happy with the upgrade to the new 265,. Awesome watch faces available in the IQ App store. Lots of great awesome features I did not have in my old watch. Great Apps and upgrades over that of my old watch and I 'm so happy I bought it. So far. I 've used it for a couple of bike rides, and I 've kept it on at night to monitor my sleep patterns. HRM and Pulse Oximeter work great too. So many upgrades that I just ca n't list them all here. You ca n't go wrong with this watch if you 're looking to upgrade from an older Garmin model.

I give the watch a solid 9/10. I deduct the one because the app is glitchy at times, and setting the watch up was somewhat glitchy. Other than that I 've loved having the watch. I bought this a month ago and am delighted w it! It looks cool, the interchangeable watch faces are fun to experiment with, and the amount of data I get is incredible! In GPS mode, it does not need any time to locate the satellites like previous Garmins I ’ ve owned. It took awhile to get the hang of all the buttons, but once I did it ’s no problem. I really appreciate ALL the functions available on this device. The only criticisms are pretty minor:( 1) It does seem to get kind of dim in certain lighting conditions, like the “ auto brightness ” function maybe isn ’ t the best; and( 2) When it displays my sleep patterns the colors used to represent REM sleep and “ awake ” are so similar that it ’s just a little more confusing than it would be otherwise. Sturdy and robust design built for the hardships of everyday wear in all conditions. Great fitness tracking, gps, sleep monitoring, and the flashlight is awesome. UI is kind of weird like in most garmin products but the button interface makes it friendlier than most. Best suited for the committed adventurer and athlete. The solar display is less vibrant so watch faces can be a bit dull, the simpler face the better.
