[ I bought the eTrex 32x last month. I especially like the 'tracks' feature where I can see exactly the path I have just traveled. This feature has been really helpful on BLM land where their might be many crisscrossing off road dirt paths. Finding the correct ones that you took previously is critical. The tracks feature makes it easy. This GPS is also super accurate. In my initial test I took it on a walk with my dog. Looking back at the tracks I could see where I walked on the sidewalk vs. on the road vs the other side of the road( single lane road). Overall a great little GPS. The only downside is that the screen seems a little small, but that is what you get when you purchase a small unit for outdoor use.

PhilAK
[ I bought this as an upgrade from a etrex 20. Mostly used for geocaching and backpacking it does the job extremely well. It plays well with Expert GPS.

[ To begin, I have the navigational ability of a drunk 10 year old. After getting a little too turned around in the BWCA on my last trip I decided I prefer my canoe adventures without heckling from wife and we settled on purchasing this bad boy! Easy to use and durable. Battery life is a big plus too as I had this thing on and open most of the time on all of our paddles across big water. It gave me the peace of mind I needed by making it virtually impossible to get lost out there. The Garmin BWCA overlay maps are totally worth it too if you are thinking about it. Going places is easy, knowing where they are is hard. 11/10 would buy again.

[ So far, this little unit seems like a great item. Battery life appears good so far, and it has preloaded maps that will work for most. Once I got used to the programs to make maps, paths and such.. I was able to put together a very good set up for an up coming trip. The bad or expected if you already know about GPS's. They are built on like a decade's old tech and they function like a flip phone. These day's most people have their phone on them and generally it works better if you have planned ahead to throw on a ton of downloaded maps, have a ruggedized case and super long battery life. I personally bought this because on a recent trip, we got a bit off of the map we had. We had a general idea where we were going but I had to try to bring up my phone a few times to get maps and positioning. It was lucky that we were on a hill in a bald so I could get signal at all. long story short, my phone battery took a hit and we got lucky that we were able to find the appropriate maps and got back on course. This light weight device will allow me to get my position, look at local trails and measure distance. That's worth the money and the weight.

I 've been using my Instinct E for about a month and so far, so good! Its predecessor, a Forerunner 45, served me well for about five years, but it was getting difficult to charge( I think it was the contact points, but not really sure). I like the new features of the Instinct- E; each watch proves to have its own personality and virtues. Anyway, it's a good one!

Had this for over a month and it has done well. I had the Instinct 2 Solar for over 3 years and this was an upgrade. I really like the larger face of the 50 and the battery life.
5
BobFV
This is my third Instinct Smartwatch and it is the ultimate evolution of this product. The Instinct Solar 1 and Instinct Solar 2 that I had both had great functionality but were difficult to read- this watch solves both issues with a 50mm face and a very bright AMOLED display. The “ rise to wake ” function is great- gives you a bright, colored readout when you look at it, and shuts it off when you aren ’ t looking at it. Battery life is fantastic- if you charge it once every 2- 3 weeks you will always have plenty of power. Highly recommend this excellent smartwatch.

I have had the Instinct 3 solar( 50mm) for a few weeks now and I could n't be happier with it. I have been walking with the watch exposed on my wrist and after a few weeks of usage it still shows 94% battery life due to the solar charging. I have n't tried a lot of the other features yet, but am satisfied with the solar part.

Upgraded from my Fenix 7 to get the full color display. Much more vibrant and readable, with excellent battery life( about 3 weeks with moderate GPS use). As with prior models, it is a bit of a chore to get the menus, display fields, and the watch face customized to your liking, but after that, it just works, with excellent functionality. Main hesitation in recommending it is just the price. Unless you use the microphone/speaker functions( which I do only occasionally) the main upgrade from recent models is the display and battery life.

Just got this and have used it for 3 rounds now. It ’s an amazing piece of technology to have on the course. It is accurate and very easy to tag the pin. The amount of different yardages you can get in an instant is awesome. At first, I was hesitant about looking at a screen rather than through a lens.. and I will say Garmin does not really tell you this in their advertising. However, if you compare this side by side with a Bushnell, you ’ ll notice that the screen actually brightens things up. When I ’ m shooting a pin that ’s in the shade, it is much easier to see the pin than with a traditional laser rangefinder. Also, I adapted to looking at the screen very quickly, and don ’ t mind it now. Overall, I think this gives you way more for your money than spending$ 400-$ 500 just to get pin distances. Would 100% recommend this!

Have used the laser about 10 rounds now. The accuracy of the GPS is awesome, sometimes from over 350, it is pretty hard to get the flag but most of us are n't flag hunting from that range. The pin seeker works well but not sure really needed with the 2D layout on screen. Most of the time( 8/10) the line across the green to show approximate location of the flag on the green works. When it does n't, I think trusting the approach view with front, back and carry over bunkers is accurate enough to use. Wind feature does n't work unless Garmin app is on and active but the app overall is n't as good as many other to track scores and other date. But turn it on to get wind speed and direction. The only thing I do n't like is that it is rechargeable, and not battery. It last's about 2. 75 rounds so be sure to have the cord with you to charge if needed. It does charge really quick if needed. Since the GPS follows what hole you are on, if you spray to other fairway or off too far, the GPS thinks you are on the next hole. You will need to use more of laser to get landing area. I have n't tried changing holes inside laser but maybe it would work if followed with the app?

The battery life is great on it, using this watch for all around activities but tracking your runs are great, I love that the screen is pretty much unbreakable and that the bezel doesn ’ t catch too much light causing glare. Very simple to use out the box, and recommended to set it up on the app for a quicker and easier set up. Don ’ t think about buying it. Just buy it. If you want a watch that can track any activity and has a battery last for weeks look no further. This watch does it all, with accurate GPS tracking and long battery life it is perfect for my uses. I mainly use it for running and cycling and its amazing. While this has all the bells and whistles it is definetley meant for the more serious consumer. It may be too much for the beginner with the price.

Sturdy and robust design built for the hardships of everyday wear in all conditions. Great fitness tracking, gps, sleep monitoring, and the flashlight is awesome. UI is kind of weird like in most garmin products but the button interface makes it friendlier than most. Best suited for the committed adventurer and athlete. The solar display is less vibrant so watch faces can be a bit dull, the simpler face the better.

Garmin has really got a great watch here and I am so happy I got one. I love the sensors and notice a difference when it's reading my HR or OX or counting my reps; though it's not perfect, it allows you to manually input your reps if it missed counting any. I love the water ejection feature, so when I 'm playing music using the built- in speaker and I got under water; I use this feature to. lear out the water and get the sound quality back. I can use the my wallet whenever the tap is used in stores. I love the flashlight that's adjustable and has a red light( this is great when I 'm navigating around my bedroom and do n't want to wake my wife with a bright light). The touch screen is great, but it's struggled a little when I 'm using gloves. Press and hold the top left button to activate the voice command or `` Listening '' feature and be specific with what you 're trying to access. If you 've seen how it's worded on the watch and you want to short- cut getting there, then use the word or title when using the voice command or `` listening ''. I use this wat h everyday and it gives me good feedback on how I 'm sleeping and the quality of sleep; and it gives suggestions on my `` body battery, '' which I 've felt is pretty accurate. When I do n't feel rested my watch also agrees and shows me a graph or some numbers on where I 'm at physically and if I should workout/ train or recover for the day. one issue I 've had are my headphone do n't like to connect to my watch. My headphone connect to everything else with ease, but not this watch. My guess is this is the Bluetooth feature not working very well. Overall, I 'm super happy with Garmin and my new watch.

First I bought this item for hiking what's no matter. As the anchor points seems robust, I tried to carry it on the top of the tank bag of my motorcycle, fasten with straps a bit thicker as the delivered neck strap, holding the travel maps. When selecting a waterproof GPS device, consider features such as water resistance ratings, durability, and battery life. Look for devices that offer robust navigation capabilities, including mapping and tracking functions, as well as additional features like Bluetooth connectivity or built-in speakers. It's also important to assess the ease of use, especially in outdoor conditions.
A waterproof GPS is specifically designed to withstand exposure to water, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, boating, or fishing. These devices typically have higher durability ratings and are built with materials that resist moisture and corrosion. In contrast, standard GPS devices may not offer the same level of protection, making them less suitable for wet environments.
Waterproof GPS devices are well-suited for a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, kayaking, fishing, and camping. Their durability and resistance to water make them ideal for environments where exposure to moisture is likely. Additionally, they can be beneficial for navigating unfamiliar terrains and tracking your route in real-time.
Many waterproof GPS devices are designed to perform well in extreme weather conditions, including rain, snow, and high humidity. However, it's essential to check the specific water resistance rating and temperature tolerance of the device to ensure it meets your needs. Some models may also offer features like enhanced visibility in bright sunlight or backlit screens for low-light conditions.
Battery life is a crucial factor when selecting a waterproof GPS, especially for extended outdoor activities. Look for devices that offer long battery life or options for rechargeable batteries. Additionally, consider how the GPS's features, such as screen brightness and connectivity options, may impact overall battery consumption during use.
