I 've been using my Instinct E for about a month and so far, so good! Its predecessor, a Forerunner 45, served me well for about five years, but it was getting difficult to charge( I think it was the contact points, but not really sure). I like the new features of the Instinct- E; each watch proves to have its own personality and virtues. Anyway, it's a good one!

Trading up to Garmin from Apple for the back- trac feature mostly, but man does this thing have battery life. My other watch dies in 1- 2 days, but this thing will go for a month or more on a single charge, and I can charge it from my cell phone. Really impressed.

I 've had my Garmin Phoenix 847 mm for about a month and I 've used it everyday. I 'm an avid golfer and it is fantastic for the game of golf also great for tracking daily activity, my daily walks, I absolutely love the tactical and regular flashlight built into the watch which allows me to get up at night and not have to turn on any lights. We recently had a major storm come through the area where power went out and I navigated the entire house and the breaker panels with my watch- very convenient. There's almost not a single use in my life that I do or this watch does n't come in handy. Sometimes it's a little confusing on where things are located and what buttons to push but I keep going back to the YouTube video and that's helpful. Do n't forget in the activities menu you can edit them and change where the appear in the menu so now Golf appears at the top of my activities for me and then other things based upon their use are now in priority order, that is also very helpful. I do n't have enough good things to say about it. If you do n't like the bezel color, I ordered different bezels that go on the top of it that are silver and red, black and white, so now you have multiple bezels you can use as well as multiple faces you can pick from and just transform the watch to look many different ways. Very cool

Bigfoot 1
Love the watch however it was most shocking when I found out that you have buy different faces for it, I would think that a watch that cost as much as it does, that would be somewhat included, just because of that fact I might return it

I love this watch! Admittedly, it has more capabilities than I use, but the features I use are very good. Wearing the watch along with my Oura ring didn ’ t last long and the latter has been relegated to my dresser drawer as the former does everything the Oura does and more… especially in sleep tracking. I ’ m pleased I got the 47mm rather than the 51mm. The display on the AMOLED is great. I did change the watch strap as the orange was pretty obnoxious.

I bought this for my wife after owning the 47mm for myself. The perfect watch for everything you could possibly imagine. It never leaves my wrist. Battery life is exceptional, with extremely fast charging. Large, vibrant and clear screen can be seen in all light conditions. Tracks everything: sleep, workouts, runs and everyday health. I reccomend this to anyone from all spectrums of fitness levels. Can be used as a great motivator as it cues you to be more active or when you need to rest.

I 've only had my Fēnix 8 AMOLED 43 mm for five days, but I absolutely love it. There are too many good things about it for me to write about here, so it seems to me the best I can do is say that I 'm happy and relieved to have made the purchase.

The battery life is great on it, using this watch for all around activities but tracking your runs are great, I love that the screen is pretty much unbreakable and that the bezel doesn ’ t catch too much light causing glare. Very simple to use out the box, and recommended to set it up on the app for a quicker and easier set up. Don ’ t think about buying it. Just buy it. Did my research and the cheapest place I found it was on here.

If you want a watch that can track any activity and has a battery last for weeks look no further. This watch does it all, with accurate GPS tracking and long battery life it is perfect for my uses. I mainly use it for running and cycling and its amazing. While this has all the bells and whistles it is definetley meant for the more serious consumer. It may be too much for the beginner with the price.

Sturdy and robust design built for the hardships of everyday wear in all conditions. Great fitness tracking, gps, sleep monitoring, and the flashlight is awesome. UI is kind of weird like in most garmin products but the button interface makes it friendlier than most. Best suited for the committed adventurer and athlete. The solar display is less vibrant so watch faces can be a bit dull, the simpler face the better.

Upgraded from a descent g1 to the fenix 8 to track my ultra prone paddling, running, and life. The solar extends the battery amazingly when I ’ m GPS mode. I have an ultra this weekend and i have zero doubt this will perform flawlessly. Absolutely worth the investment

I bought this a month ago and am delighted w it! It looks cool, the interchangeable watch faces are fun to experiment with, and the amount of data I get is incredible! In GPS mode, it does not need any time to locate the satellites like previous Garmins I ’ ve owned. It took awhile to get the hang of all the buttons, but once I did it ’s no problem. I really appreciate ALL the functions available on this device. The only criticisms are pretty minor:( 1) It does seem to get kind of dim in certain lighting conditions, like the “ auto brightness ” function maybe isn ’ t the best; and( 2) When it displays my sleep patterns the colors used to represent REM sleep and “ awake ” are so similar that it ’s just a little more confusing than it would be otherwise. But I am so glad I bought this watch!

After a couple of rounds it has proven to be the best sounding Wingman yet and the most fully featured one as well. Salt Boy
[ I bought the eTrex 32x last month. I especially like the' tracks' feature where I can see exactly the path I have just traveled. This feature has been really helpful on BLM land where their might be many crisscrossing off road dirt paths. Finding the correct ones that you took previously is critical. The tracks feature makes it easy. This GPS is also super accurate. In my initial test I took it on a walk with my dog. Looking back at the tracks I could see where I walked on the sidewalk vs. on the road vs the other side of the road( single lane road). Overall a great little GPS. The only downside is that the screen seems a little small, but that is what you get when you purchase a small unit for outdoor use.

[ I bought this as an upgrade from a etrex 20. Mostly used for geocaching and backpacking it does the job extremely well. It plays well with Expert GPS.

[ To begin, I have the navigational ability of a drunk 10 year old. After getting a little too turned around in the BWCA on my last trip I decided I prefer my canoe adventures without heckling from wife and we settled on purchasing this bad boy! Easy to use and durable. Battery life is a big plus too as I had this thing on and open most of the time on all of our paddles across big water. It gave me the peace of mind I needed by making it virtually impossible to get lost out there. The Garmin BWCA overlay maps are totally worth it too if you are thinking about it. Going places is easy, knowing where they are is hard. 11/10 would buy again.

[ So far, this little unit seems like a great item. Battery life appears good so far, and it has preloaded maps that will work for most. Once I got used to the programs to make maps, paths and such.. I was able to put together a very good set up for an up coming trip. The bad or expected if you already know about GPS's. They are built on like a decade's old tech and they function like a flip phone. These day's most people have their phone on them and generally it works better if you have planned ahead to throw on a ton of downloaded maps, have a ruggedized case and super long battery life. I personally bought this because on a recent trip, we got a bit off of the map we had. We had a general idea where we were going but I had to try to bring up my phone a few times to get maps and positioning. It was lucky that we were on a hill in a bald so I could get signal at all. long story short, my phone battery took a hit and we got lucky that we were able to find the appropriate maps and got back on course. This light weight device will allow me to get my position, look at local trails and measure distance. That's worth the money and the weight.

The new wind speed and direction feature is great also. ... The accuracy of the GPS is awesome, sometimes from over 350, it is pretty hard to get the flag but most of us are n't flag hunting from that
5
Alec
Just got this and have used it for 3 rounds now. It ’s an amazing piece of technology to have on the course. It is accurate and very easy to tag the pin. The amount of different yardages you can get in an instant is awesome. At first, I was hesitant about looking at a screen rather than through a lens.. and I will say Garmin does not really tell you this in their advertising. However, if you compare this side by side with a Bushnell, you ’ ll notice that the screen actually brightens things up. When I ’ m shooting a pin that ’s in the shade, it is much easier to see the pin than with a traditional laser rangefinder. Also, I adapted to looking at the screen very quickly, and don ’ t mind it now. Overall, I think this gives you way more for your money than spending$ 400-$ 500 just to get pin distances. Would 100% recommend this!
5
Tigerjk
Happy I purchased it. Simple to Navigate and carry with ones golf bag.
5
Dbart1
Have used the laser about 10 rounds now. The accuracy of the GPS is awesome, sometimes from over 350, it is pretty hard to get the flag but most of us are n't flag hunting from that range. The pin seeker works well but not sure really needed with the 2D layout on screen. Most of the time( 8/10) the line across the green to show approximate location of the flag on the green works. When it does n't, I think trusting the approach view with front, back and carry over bunkers is accurate enough to use. Wind feature does n't work unless Garmin app is on and active but the app overall is n't as good as many other to track scores and other date. But turn it on to get wind speed and direction. The only thing I do n't like is that it is rechargeable, and not battery. It last's about 2. 75 rounds so be sure to have the cord with you to charge if needed. It does charge really quick if needed. Since the GPS follows what hole you are on, if you spray to other fairway or off too far, the GPS thinks you are on the next hole. You will need to use more of laser to get landing area. I have n't tried changing holes inside laser but maybe it would work if followed with the app?

To give this review context, im coming from using a instinct 1. To upgrade to a fenix was a massive upgrade. I know A lot of people recommended switching to the Epix because it was so similar to this watch. To me it was important to have the most up- to- date user interface technology, without having to overspend on the fenix 8. The 8 is great but there were so many features i was not interested in. When selecting a waterproof GPS device, consider features such as water resistance ratings, durability, and battery life. Look for devices that offer robust navigation capabilities, including mapping and tracking functions, as well as additional features like Bluetooth connectivity or built-in speakers. It's also important to assess the ease of use, especially in outdoor conditions.
A waterproof GPS is specifically designed to withstand exposure to water, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, boating, or fishing. These devices typically have higher durability ratings and are built with materials that resist moisture and corrosion. In contrast, standard GPS devices may not offer the same level of protection, making them less suitable for wet environments.
Waterproof GPS devices are well-suited for a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, kayaking, fishing, and camping. Their durability and resistance to water make them ideal for environments where exposure to moisture is likely. Additionally, they can be beneficial for navigating unfamiliar terrains and tracking your route in real-time.
Many waterproof GPS devices are designed to perform well in extreme weather conditions, including rain, snow, and high humidity. However, it's essential to check the specific water resistance rating and temperature tolerance of the device to ensure it meets your needs. Some models may also offer features like enhanced visibility in bright sunlight or backlit screens for low-light conditions.
Battery life is a crucial factor when selecting a waterproof GPS, especially for extended outdoor activities. Look for devices that offer long battery life or options for rechargeable batteries. Additionally, consider how the GPS's features, such as screen brightness and connectivity options, may impact overall battery consumption during use.
