I bought this watch a few weeks ago and it works very well on the course. GPS distances were accurate and data provided was informative. Watch also has so many other features than golf. I highly recommend it as an everyday wearable.

This watch replaced by old Approach S60 which I had for many years. The battery life is fantastic and the features are very good. The enhancements to show distance to hazards is very useful. The only negative is the watch band. Once on it is very comfortable with its velcro connection. My hand barely fits through the band to take it on or off and if I pull the end of the band through the link, it is very hard to get back on with one hand. I may have to buy an aftermarket band to replace it. This was supposed to be the large/extra large model.

Bogey Rick
Finally a golf watch with the size and features I wanted. It is the right size on my wrist. It does not interfere with my golf swing. It is easy to read in sunlight without reading glasses. I can easily keep score on my watch. I thought I would want a silicone band but have come to really love the stock band. Those with a large hand might need to work at it a bit to get it over your hand. I love that you can really customize the watch face with the information you want using the ConnectIQ App. I wear it every day. It is a great looking watch. AMOLED display means it can be on all the time and still have reasonable battery life. It also works go gamify my other activities by tracking not only golf but also walking and pickleball. I am very happy with my Approach® S50.

I bought this about a month ago, and it has really helped my game. I prefer a watch to a range finder, and this one from Garmin is exactly what I needed. Great color screen, distances to hazards, etc. makes it easy to operate. Any the battery life for me has been much better than on their website: I just finished( 2) 18- hole rounds and still have 50% battery life left. Great Purchase!

Really enjoying the Garmin S44 Watch!!!! With the Garmin subscription you get the premium features which really enhance the overall experience. Really like the auto- shot detection with the corresponding prompting of the club used. Being able to see all of your shots, shape and distance for each club displayed on the actual hole layout after the round is a homerun!!!! I am currently sharing scorecards with my Brother- In- Law and we enjoy being able to see each others results( good, bad or ugly), especially when we are not fortunate enough to be able to play together. Thank you Garmin for a great product!!!! P. S. I also have the Garmin R10 for my simulator and it works great, as well.

Bought the watch( though I feel that ’s an understatement to describe this technology) less than a month ago. It ’s not a watch. This is a computer on your wrist. It has the best of both worlds IMO. It ’s great for working out however the golf tech is second to none. The gps accuracy is within feet of range finders. The adjusted yardage is on point too. Best part is the speed of play. The simple truth is that the more you use this the faster and more accurate you WILL become. The virtual caddie is based on how you hit the clubs( if you don ’ t have the sensors, though I totally recommend you do) then log your clubs after each round and soon enough you will have club stats that build your confidence. All That said love the “ watch ” and love the data.

Switched from AWU2 looking for a bigger screen and MAINLY better battery life. Garmin came through big time! I ’ ve owned Fenix8 51mm for 3 weeks now. Wear it everyday, charged it once a couple of weeks ago. AMAZING battery life!! Amoled screen is easy to read and I ’ m still learning different watch faces and applications. It ’s taking me some time to learn commands and navigation coming from the ultra, but I have zero regrets with switching. Even though it ’s 51mm it fits my 19cm wrist very comfortably. The titanium is perfect, I don ’ t even feel like I ’ m wearing a watch. With AWU2 I felt it, didn ’ t like it. I ’ m loving the ECG feature the most. It seems accurate and it ’s very easy to use. Loving the Body Battery too! This timepiece is truly worthy of the price. And here ’s the best thing: it ’s a real watch, it ’s not an IPhone on your wrist. Loving Garmin. Thank you.

The battery life is great on it, using this watch for all around activities but tracking your runs are great, I love that the screen is pretty much unbreakable and that the bezel doesn ’ t catch too much light causing glare. Very simple to use out the box, and recommended to set it up on the app for a quicker and easier set up. Don ’ t think about buying it. Just buy it. If you want a watch that can track any activity and has a battery last for weeks look no further. This watch does it all, with accurate GPS tracking and long battery life it is perfect for my uses. I mainly use it for running and cycling and its amazing. While this has all the bells and whistles it is definetley meant for the more serious consumer. It may be too much for the beginner with the price.

Sturdy and robust design built for the hardships of everyday wear in all conditions. Great fitness tracking, gps, sleep monitoring, and the flashlight is awesome. UI is kind of weird like in most garmin products but the button interface makes it friendlier than most. Best suited for the committed adventurer and athlete. The solar display is less vibrant so watch faces can be a bit dull, the simpler face the better.

The Garmin Fenix 8 AMOLED 47mm is an excellent watch, its advanced health tracking and golf features, are super cool. The bright AMOLED display is easy to see and read. My watch offers in- depth health insights, including heart rate variability, sleep quality, recovery status, and personalized energy monitoring through the Body Battery feature. As the end of my first month approaches, I wonder how I ever got by with a Garmin watch before! Went with the Forerunner 570 for the added features, and I 've been loving the daily outlooks and Garmin Coach training. I have had another Watch for years. No complaints on the watch but I have been eyeing the Venu 3 for a while for additional health/sleep tracking. It was worth the switch! I have had it for a few weeks now and thought I haven ’ t used all the features, the sleep and workout tracking alone are great! The work out modes are simple to use and have additional features then what I ’ m used to( ie. rep counts for strength). When selecting a golf GPS smart watch, consider features such as course mapping, shot tracking, and distance measurement to greens and hazards. Additionally, look for a watch with a long battery life to last through multiple rounds, as well as a user-friendly interface for easy navigation. Some models also offer additional functionalities like fitness tracking and smartphone notifications.
Golf GPS smart watches are generally very accurate, providing precise distance measurements to various points on the course. The accuracy can depend on the quality of the GPS technology used and the watch's ability to update its course database. Regular updates and a clear line of sight to satellites can enhance accuracy during play.
Many golf GPS smart watches are designed with multi-sport functionality, allowing them to be used for activities like running, cycling, and fitness tracking. This versatility makes them a great choice for athletes who participate in various sports, as they can track performance metrics across different activities. Be sure to check the specific features of the watch to see which activities it supports.
