The Garmin 965 is the perfect watch for those who want to get into any activity, indoors or outdoors, but who does n't want the full suite of features the Fenix series offers. Since buying and setting up this watch, I have only had to charge it a handful of times. The touchscreen is super useful to be interacting with all of the features on the AMOLED screen. The stress and heartrate monitoring while I 'm sleeping is really nice too. Now that the 970 is out, this is an excellent deal if you can find one on- sale!

I had an Apple Watch for years. I used it for tracking cycling, running, and swimming. The battery life was declining and needed to be charged twice a day. I ’ ve had the garmin for a month now and love it! I have used it to track running, cycling, hiking, swimming, and sleep. I ’ m very impressed with the tracking abilities and the garmin app that tracks health. The battery life is insane. I have probably only charged it three times in the last month. While a Garmin is still not as “ smart ” as an Apple Watch, the fenix 8 amoled is starting to play in the same ball park. I ’ ve been very happy to return to Garmin for the sport functions after several years with Apple Watch and AWU. The battery life is still unmatched.

I bought the Fenix 8 after a couple of less- than- optimal experiences with competitor products. After several months with the watch, I am convinced that there is not a more thoughtfully designed sports watch on the market. Everything on this watch just works, and Garmin has thought of everything. Even small details like the watch automatically ejecting water from the speaker after a watersports activity speak to the level of detail that Garmin focused on when designing this watch. The software is fast and fluid, the screen is brilliant, and the health and exercise data collected is precise and presented in a useful and palatable format. The only thing that I feel could use some improvement with the watch is that when I take a phone call from the watch, there is evidently a lot of microphone feedback, as in people talking to me through my watch hear a significant echo of everything they say. Overall, an excellent watch that I feel is well worth the higher price tag.

From backpacking, to running, to working out, this watch does it all. Instead of asking what this watch can do, the better question is what can it NOT do. The battery life is amazing and the GPS capabilities are unmatched. The AMOLED face is super bright even in the direct sunlight. Definitely not a watch that a beginner would need, but an amazing tool for an avid explorer and athlete!

I really like the suggested workouts which keep me on track. this feature is great wether you are just getting started or seasoned runner/cyclist. if you are interested in tracking your fitness progress this is a great option and I would highly recommend.

Upgraded from my Fenix 7 to get the full color display. Much more vibrant and readable, with excellent battery life( about 3 weeks with moderate GPS use). As with prior models, it is a bit of a chore to get the menus, display fields, and the watch face customized to your liking, but after that, it just works, with excellent functionality. Main hesitation in recommending it is just the price. Unless you use the microphone/speaker functions( which I do only occasionally) the main upgrade from recent models is the display and battery life.

I upgraded from a Forerunner 55 to the 265 and it's night and day. the additional functions are adding significant benefits to my running training, with the additional insights helping me push myself safely to become better. also, the fact that I can sync up music with it( I use Spotify) is really cool, as I can just grab the headphones and start running. overall, a great and meaningful upgrade!
