Great jacket. Look forward to wearing it next year on salmon fishing trips if the Canadians open their borders to US residents by then.

My wife loves this jacket! She is so happy that Simms is finally doing more women's gear!!! Cheers to you Simms! This is a very stylish cut for women and is very flattering. My wife is rugged, but still likes to have that feminine touch which this jacket does well. She is 5' 4 '' 110 lbs and the S is perfect for her. She is an XS for most other Simms tops, but a S for this jacket. I 'd recommend this jacket to any woman who wants to stay warm and dry in extremely harsh conditions, and look good doing it!

Great in rainy weather, make sure to layer under because it is not warm whatsoever But it holds up amazing in wet conditions.

Many also incorporate advanced technologies like Gore-Tex for enhanced waterproofing and breathability. Insulation materials can vary, with options ranging from synthetic fills to down for added warmth.

Yes, guide jackets are designed for versatility and can be suitable for various outdoor activities, including fishing, hiking, and camping. Their durable construction and weather-resistant features make them ideal for unpredictable conditions. However, it's important to choose a jacket that aligns with the specific demands of your intended activity.

To find the right size for a guide jacket, it's best to consult the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer. Measure your chest, waist, and hips, and compare these measurements to the chart. Keep in mind that layering may affect fit, so consider how you plan to wear the jacket when selecting a size.

Insulated guide jackets are designed to provide additional warmth, making them ideal for colder conditions, while non-insulated jackets are typically lighter and more breathable, suitable for milder weather. The choice between the two depends on the climate and the level of activity you anticipate. For variable conditions, layering with a non-insulated jacket can offer flexibility.
