I put the 12'x12' sail up on mounts that were about 16'x16'. I used heavy duty bungie straps, instead of the mounting hardware that came with the sail, to see how it would look. Turns out the bungie straps worked real well and pulled the sail real tight. I think I may leave it that way. I am really very happy with this product.

[ My wife and I wanted some sort of shelter for car camping that we could cook under. Most tarps are larger than what we need, but this is perfect. Setup is a breeze using the three poles. There are various options for attaching the front to your vehicle. Two stakes allow for attaching the rear. We set it up with our Rav4 hatch open and have no problems opening/closing the hatch with the shelter in place. There's lots of space underneath for cooking and hanging out. One could easily fit four camp chairs under this if needed. We 've only used it twice, but experienced torrential downpours on both occasions and remained perfectly dry sitting underneath it and chilling out. One of the best shelter investments I 've made in the last 45 years.

[ I received this product from influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. Unfortunately the pics I had of this on the ice, are forever lost at the bottom of the lake lol So my unboxing photos will have to do. First thing I have to say, is that this thing is insane. Pictures really do not do this thing justice. I did n't realize how much space there would be inside of this thing. While we usually only had 3 guys fishing out of it at once, there is easily more than enough room for more. There were times we had this thing stacked with people at times during the day and night, just hanging around talking. We had enough room for all of our equipment, sunflower heater, and pretty much a full service grilling station set up to curb those mid- day munchies. Even the tall guys had no problem in this thing. Lots of head room. Living in Minnesota, there are so many variations in environment that come into play that this thing had absolutely no problem with. Even on the big lake superior, with the wind absolutely howling, this ice house handled it like a champ. Strong ice anchors kept it in place with hardly a rattle. Super thick, durable construction, held heat extremely well, and used very little propane on the sunflower after the initial warm up. Zippers are top notch as well. Usually my biggest peeve, but the zippers were free flowing, felt strong, and easy to grab even with big gloves on. Setting up was a breeze as well. Took me longer to cut and clean 3 holes than it did to pop this thing up. Break down was just as easy, which is exactly what you want at the end of day. This ice house is an absolute game changer. I literally can can not think of one con about this at all. If your sick if being cramped in a small hut, or even wish you could have more company join, this is the ticket. I only wish this winter was a little more `` wintery '' Did n't get quite as much time on the ice as previous years.

Integrated lighting is easy to set up and connect. This thing is FANTASTIC!!! Incredibly easy to set up and well built. Set it outside in- 10°f and single panel Mr heater kept it comfortable, even after 4 hours.

Majority of that time was installing the dimmable led lights which are absolutely amazing to have built in! Never knew what I was missing until now. The Clam company does top quality work and uses the best durable fabrics and equipment, this beast is built to last. Max entry doors are great, especially when loading in and out. Love the zippers and the fact that they are excellent quality and easy sliding, that matters in freezing rain and snow. Lightweight and super easy to pack down and set up. Great amount of insulation to keep warmer and protected from the elements. The oversized skirt is perfect for snow banking. The ice anchors straps do a great job. In its first week of use, it survived a big wind storm, hail, and a lightning storm. It weathered all three spectacularly- as did the people inside! We stayed dry and protected with no problem. Had the Storm Break 3 years so far, and maybe a couple/few dozen uses. At half the price of the similarly featured tents from the pro competition, it's an impressive tent IMO. It's a couple pounds heavier, but that has very little effect in my application( mostly motorcycle camping). I 've had zero problems with poles, zippers, stitching, fabric, or other parts/details. I 'm relatively careful and use common sense in setup and breakdown of the tent. I use a decent ground cloth to protect the floor and avoid exposure to sharp sticks and rock etc. Also avoid over tensioning the loops and holding points when staking and setting up guylines. I 'm careful with zippers and do n't force them or zip/unzip carelessly or super fast. In my limited experience, the zippers have been excellent. The vestibule flap zippers can be a bit fussy, and I simply use a finger to `` lead '' the zipper- pull path; this prevents the overlap fabric from getting caught in the pull. I 've used it in light rain and moderately windy conditions, but not in extreme weather. It has performed and held up just fine. Having read some of the negative reviews, I do n't understand how poles can just `` break '' or bend into some strange wavy deformed condition that some have claimed- that's odd IMO, and makes me wonder if those individuals are n't revealing the entire story/truth or maybe were careless? Setup is quick and pretty simple, and is doable in the dark if you 're familiar with the process and the tent. I really like the overall design and features: roomy, vestibules, inside mesh pockets in all 4 corners, interior hanger loops, the fly- great tent in my experience!

I 've used this tent for backcountry camping, hunting, using it as my tent while working wildfire in Alberta. I 've had my dog in it with my( 110lbs). and spent probably 50 nights in it since i bought it a couple of years ago. [ My first reaction to opening this was `` Oh my gosh, this is so big, I 'm never going to use it ''. Well folks, I was wrong. Backyard party at the house? Used it. Trip to the beach? Used it. Tailgate for a hockey game? Yep. Camping trip? Absolutely. This tent is high quality and versatile. It was a little intimidating to set up initially due to the size, but once my partner and I understood how the quick- set worked, it was a breeze to set up and take down! I absolutely LOVE this tent. My friend that was 6' 0 was so happy to have a tent he could fully stand up straight in, and it kept out all of the bugs when we went to the beach. It folds up to about the same size as an easy up( maybe just a bit longer), and it light enough for one person to carry. I have n't tried to set it up by myself yet, but with two people it's super easy. I imagine that one person could do it alone, but it might be a little tricky just due to the large size and number of walls that it has. The tie downs work great, though I do want to mention that when we took it to the beach on a windy day after a big storm, we used industrial sized stakes to stake it down since we did n't want to take a chance on it blowing away. It never had a single issue with the wind, and kept everyone( and the dogs!) shaded and happy!

Great spacious tent, esp for tall folks like us. Tent stayed dry despite VERY dewy mornings and the afternoon rain soaked ground. Fairly easy set up. No complaints. Hope we can find the straight wall add on- it would be nice in case it ever did rain. Love the bag it came with so packing it up and storing it is easy as well.

I 've used MSR products since my teenage years. I 'm now 52. I 'm still using a stainless cook pot from when I hiked the Appalachian Trail when I was 24. MSR makes some of the most reliable gear out there. I bought a hubba hubba 2 and decided to add on the gear shed. First, the tent itself is well thought out and made of high quality materials. Super light as well, even with the additional ground cloth. Second, I do n't know what I would do without the gear shed. I 'm solo motorbiking and the two fit in the tent stuff sack. The shed provides me the room I need for the additional riding gear and a place to throw everything when the afternoon thunderstorms hit. This way I can live a more civilized life in a tent that has plenty of room for playing cards, leaving the wet and smelly stuff outside the tent. I 've been hit with a lot of weather and the two stand their ground, keeping me and my gear dry and happy.

[ I made my bestfriend put it up when I went camping. She slept in it. I went in there in the morning it was so dark so I do have to say it does keep the light out super easy to put up for both of us of course we are fairly small women. The only issue is the fact that no Coleman tent I have owned goes back into the tent bag in came in. But yourself your own bigger tent bag.

Not a drop of rain made it into the tent. Winds were sustained at 40 mph with stronger gusts for two straight hours during the worst storm. Expensive, but worth it!

[ This tent is a little bigger than what we needed as a family( 3people+ 1dog) for weekend camping trips, but that's what we wanted. This is not a cabin tent so I do n't need to worry about high winds causing too much stress on the frame and tent seams. I love that I do n't have to stoop whenever I 'm inside the main part of the tent. The two vestibules created when the rain fly is on the tent are great for leaving muddy shoes outside but still under cover. There were plenty of pockets on the inside of the tent for our stuff and one great thing about them was that the pockets kept your stuff away from the walls... no morning dew on your stuff!!! Setup was simple; follow the directions on the tag of the tent bag. I tried to just logic my way through it the first time and one of my poles got a little bent... not bad, but I felt like an idiot. Followed the directions the text time and it went up easy. Also, 1 person can set this tent up, 2 people is better. 1 person can take this tent down without any difficulty. The rain fly has so many Velcro straps on the underside to wrap around the poles to help keep it in place. I used maybe 2 at each vestibule end and staked out the vestibules. The rest of the fly I left in place using only the clips to the main tent. We were n't expecting much wind so I did n't bother with the rest or the guy lines and the tent did just fine. Also, the seams are taped inside using some kind of flexible water repellant tape/adhesive... awesome!!! I ca n't say how many times I 've camped in the past and the seams are the first place where condensation forms and starts dripping... that's annoying. Taped seams should solve, or at the very least help with that problem. I would definitely recommend this tent.

I ordered this screen house online at our local Dick's store to take advantage of a local discount offered through our town. I appreciated the ability to compare several other sizes, folded up and unfolded, which led me to go for this size. It showed up nearly a week EARLIER than the estimate given when ordered, and my wife and I immediately took it to our back yard to try to set it up for the first time. The instructions were clear enough and we thought we were all set, but discovered that we had inadvertently allowed a portion of the roof to be turned back over one of the roof/wall intersections. Once we fixed that, it literally popped up into shape. Even with that self- inflicted delay, we had it up in well under 5 minutes. Take down was equally easy. The main reason we went with this screen house was that our previous screen house top was held up by 4 crossing poles which did NOT support the center and turned the old house into a rain- trapping, useless mess. Not so with this design. It supports the mid- point of the roof so it drains. Looking forward to using it when we camp later this summer.

Forget how beautiful and visable the color is against fresh white snow! This tent can handle 2. 5 ft of heavy wet snow loading, as I discovered LAST winter in the Catskill Mountains, NY. Now I have 100% complete confidence that it can handle 40- 50 mph winds, that is wind, NOT gusts, as well. For myself solo, the 3P with vestibule is my Kingdom. Sharing the tent with friend was acceptable. Not too cramped and we were able to melt snow, cook, eat, lay down, sit up, lounge, stretch, sleep, hang out, change clothing and not bump heads. Plenty of space. The vestibule, I feel is mandatory in bad weather.. Definitely with 2 people in there and if you plan on being mostly tent bound. The entry doors/bay windows are fantastic for views and ventilation, let a! one entering and exiting. My only 2 grips are small, tight toggles and latches for the doors! Very hard to do in freezing weather, bare handed.. With gloves even harder, but this is something I can probably modify myself, or not, because its not that bad, just could be better. The 2nd gripe is the storm flap on the vestibule door can snag easy if you not careful. And in bad weather sometimes you may want to close it up quickly... So be careful. But that's the vestibule and this is review of tent.. So disregard. I wish I could post pictures of it in action. I also love the blue on the inside!! Its cheery and inspiring even on the dark gloomy days.. stimulate the mind a bit!! This tent is almost the unicorn! Search it on you tube!

Have used this tent in multiple climates and terrain. It ’s the perfect size for 1 person with a good amount of gear. Will work for 2 people. Holds well up to water without vestibule. Confusing to set up at first with poles used inside of tent. Very lite weight tent for back packing. Kept warm in 20 degrees and held up in 50+ wind. I do recommend buying vestibule to use for gear storage and heavy rain.

Incredibly strong light weight tent. Those don ’ t normally go together. BD nailed this though. Used on numerous bikepacking trips in a variety of conditions from our right rain downpours to moderate snow. Stayed dry every- time and the internal pitch is key. Excited to finally own one of these tents and use for more years to come. Tents are 4 season which= smaller internal dimensions. I bought the 3p for use as a good 2p or big solo.
