Amazing ball for the price. This is my first time playing a urethane ball regularly, used to play Vice Tour. I immediately noticed the difference on approach shots and greenside. The stopping power is unreal. I even spun one back from a greenside bunker. My scores are lower because I can attack pins and rely on the ball stopping instead of rolling 10- 20 feet past.

I have now played the new version of this ball for 6 rounds and I 've been playing Tour X for 4 years. This new ball feels about the same on long shots( firm), but noticeable softer pitches, chips and especially putts. I am a senior golfer with moderate clubhead speed( 95 to 99 mph). I would n't have believed it in a million years had it not just happened to me today. My son and his friend play this ball and they are always 50 yards ahead of me. Granted, I 'm a 50 year old Marine vet, with back issues, but I can still rip it out there between 280- 300 yards. I 've been playing a popular DTC brand golf ball and thought I would give these Chrome Tours a try, since it was buy 3 get 1 free, and I get the military discount. I got to play them today and OMG I will NEVER play another ball again. I really ca n't believe what a difference these made. My drives were going 335 yards today, into the wind, and even got one 385 yards with the wind. I had to club down by almost 2 clubs with all my irons. It took me half a round to get used to the new distance and trust it. I ended up shooting par on the back 9 and now I 'm driving the ball right there with my 27 year old son and his friend. It's truly the most excited I 've been in years and I 'm looking forward to golf again. Firstly I love the TP5. I am a high launch/high spin player. The X just flew too high for me into the wind. I find that I get a bit lower launch with the TP5 and is easier for me to control the spin with. Durability is also pretty darn good for a tour ball( barring cart path, rocks, or trees- you could play the same ball a second round). I love the stripe! It helps me with putting AND lining up on tee shots. I only wish they offered the colors for the stripe like they do on the Response. But for those color averse- the blackish grey of this stripe isn ’ t distracting and very useful.

I 'm impressed with what I have seen so far with the Triple Diamond ball. I was concerned I would n't have the greenside spin and hold I wanted based on how it is described, but around the greens the performance has been very good and on the same level for me as the Chrome Tour. With my irons, I am finding it very consistent in carry distance and launch, which is exactly what I want. It's slightly lower spinning than the Chrome Tour with the driver and all- around great ball. New gamer for me.

These are incredible! They are TP5s so they are automatically amazing! But now they have a tracker that my Sim picks up beautifully! I have always had to get pro VI RCT, so it ’s nice that Taylor made has this option now. I think it ’s a much better ball and I am seeing consistent results in the sim.

Good match for me. Played Titleist since balata balls. Now in 60 ’s with SS 95 and 4. 7GHIN. Surprisingly optimal spin off driver, slightly higher launch on irons, and spin compliments descent angle. More green side spin than ProV1 with similar feel. 20 rounds in and I am still waiting for disappointment, but none so far.

I picked up a sleeve of these to try along with a dozen of the Chrome Soft X. Im 53 and my swing speed has come down from 111 to 100 with the driver. I was expecting the CS X to be a better fit for me because of the lower clubhead speed, thinking I would need the extra spin and higher flight. However, the LS version blew me away. Unbelievable driver distance and extremely straight ball flight. I typically hit a draw that has recently turned into more hooks off the tee at times. I ’ m getting my timing back with the change in clubhead speed and this ball has helped with that because I know when I hit it it ’s going straight where I aim. Confidence inspiring, and it checks up much better than the CS X. Feel is solid off the putter and distance control is much better. I believe Callaway built this ball specifically for higher spin players like myself who don ’ t like to work the ball much and need extra distance off the tee. It ’s sad it ’s discontinued. I have several dozen to get me through this season and possibly next season tho. I get technology changing and ball development evolving but I truly believe Callaway should make this ball a staple in their lineup. Highly recommend you try this ball if you struggle with too much spin, especially with the driver.

I switched to Chrome Tour X for more spin after playing Chrome Tour last year. I find the Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X play pretty similarly outside of 150 yards and after that I start to notice the extra spin, and really notice it around the greens. I like the TruTrack version for seeing how the ball reacts around the greens.

Firstly I love the TP5. I am a high launch/high spin player. The X just flew too high for me into the wind. I find that I get a bit lower launch with the TP5 and is easier for me to control the spin with. Durability is also pretty darn good for a tour ball( barring cart path, rocks, or trees- you could play the same ball a second round). I love the stripe! It helps me with putting AND lining up on tee shots. I only wish they offered the colors for the stripe like they do on the Response. But for those color averse- the blackish grey of this stripe isn ’ t distracting and very useful.
