i bought this product 3 days ago. its a larger profile bait so bigger fish are bound to hit it. i was using a weighted swimbait hook by VMC. i caught probally 20 bass all over 3 pounds. Such an amazing bait. If u like targetting big largemouth or smallmouth then this is the bait for you.

Great swimming action, weighted for good long casting! ... Definitely keeping these tied on this winter and spring. ... Has good action and casts well. Seems very durable that should last a long time catching

I have been casting this bait for a couple weeks now in the 4. 5 and 6 inch size. No catches on the 6 inch but have had many followers. The 4. 5 gets crushed even by 1. 5 pounders! My favorite retrieve is slow and steady. Definitely keeping these tied on this winter and spring.

I was sick of using traditional EWG hooks for throwing worms/craws/creature baits, because they would constantly slip down the hook. So I started trying twist lock swimbait hooks. VMC makes a solid hook at a crazy affordable price. Hook has been working great and I have not bent any. Still as sharp as the day I bought it.

Bucketmouth Bob

I throw these only on braided line. Great hook up ratio and really strong wire hook. Have not bent any out. I use the 3/0 and 4/0. I do n't use them for swimbaits, but for plastic creature baits and worms. Gives them a faster sink rate due to the thicker gauge wire.

Great lure for Lake Michigan Smallies. I gave a 5 star review but it is more like 4. 5 stars. My only complaint would be that they are very heat sensitive. They will melt on you if you leave them in your hot trunk or hot bag. BUT.... They do hold up well to multiple catches per bait. And hold up well to being dragged across sharp, rocky bottom structure. Just keep them out of the heat and you will be good to go!

Best chatterbait trailer I have found thus far. Good action, easy to rig, like the tail flange produces a quick narrow tail kick that matches the speed of a Jackhammer Chatterbait blade well. Good option, outside of a chatterbait trailer, not impressed... Chatterbait trailer 10/10
5
LukStagAut
I love this bait like most of Yamamoto's soft plastics as it is real fish catcher! I use it mostly as a trailer on my bladed jigs, buzz baits, and occasionally spinner baits in order to add a strong yet somewhat compact baitfish profile. The tail on this bait works at just about any speed and the available colors all exhibit fish appeal. Amazingly though, the soft plastic on this bait holds up much better than the majority of Yamamoto's soft plastic offerings, as once properly glued, I have able to catch many fish, even the toothy varieties, without having to replace it; making them worth the price.
5

There's many options but what is nice about the Madeel the soft plastic is pre- formed with dedicated hook shank guide so there's no need to measure or keep retrying to center the hook or where it
5
SteveNY
Excellent quality and value as you get a jighead and 2 tails. If you striper fish, a soft plastic sand eel is a necessity along with 2 other lures in the northeast. There's many options but what is nice about the Madeel the soft plastic is pre- formed with dedicated hook shank guide so there's no need to measure or keep retrying to center the hook or where it protrudes. Sometimes a Tsunami or Hogy eel does not work throw a Madeel and see if you get a hookup. Its' what happens to me all the time when one profile is seen too much another offering produces a strike. The plastic is also formed to the contours of its jighead so you will always get a consistent swim action.

Great hook! Been using it for flipping and also as a straight shank worm hook. The bait keeper makes a huge difference in keeping the bait held up on the hook so it does n't get pulled to the bottom when you set the hook on a fish. Very sharp as well. Was able to pierce the mouth of a bullseye snakehead which is very boney. Will always be keeping this in my box.

The pics here are not correct. This is the pro bulletz in the pics. The finesse bullets do not have the big bulbous weight. But, these are great jig heads for fishing in weedy areas. I put a Z- Man Trick Shots Bad Shad on a 1/6 ounce size, and was slaying the bass at a local pond. Hooks are sharp, and the rig was able to get through most weeds easily. Only got hung up in some really heavy grasses a couple of times, but I was able to get out without losing, or even damaging, any tackle.

I 've owned quite a few Zeb co reels over the last 40 years and they are an affordable and consistent performer. I rarely lose a fish because of the reel. They 're easy to use and fun. And this is the best I 've ever used. It's nearly silent. The drag action is smooth as silk and the retrieve is just as good. Gone is the loud ratcheting sound when a fish puts on a fight. If you like that, then grab the Authentic 33. It will sound like you expect, but this is silent and buttery smooth. Zeb co makes much more expensive reels, loaded up with quality bearings. But unless you 're making a living on a boat, this should be plenty. I go fishing every weekend with my sons and I 've caught dozens of fish on this. Mostly pan fish, crappie and bass but I 've reeled in a few nice carp and catfish as well. The reel did well.

Huge fan of this jig head and works perfectly with the elaztech baits. I pair with the slim swimz when I really need to down size my lures. Never fails and can always get a bite.

I use it on a variety of swim baits. I like it because I can add trailer hooks.
When selecting a hook for swimbait, consider the hook's size, shape, and material. A good swimbait hook should have a strong, sharp point for effective penetration and a design that allows for optimal action of the bait in the water. Additionally, look for hooks that offer corrosion resistance if you plan to fish in saltwater.
Choosing the right size hook for your swimbait depends on the size and type of bait you are using. Generally, the hook should be proportional to the swimbait to ensure proper presentation and action. It's also important to consider the species you are targeting, as different fish may require different hook sizes for effective catch rates.
There are several types of swimbait hooks available, including standard hooks, weighted hooks, and treble hooks. Each type serves a different purpose, such as providing better balance, enhancing action, or improving hook-up ratios. Understanding the specific fishing conditions and techniques you plan to use will help you select the most suitable hook type.
While you can use a regular hook for swimbait fishing, specialized swimbait hooks are designed to enhance performance and improve the bait's action. These hooks often have unique features like a wider gap or a specific bend that allows for better hook sets and reduces the chances of the bait tearing. For optimal results, it's recommended to use hooks specifically designed for swimbaits.
Hook strength is crucial when using swimbaits, as it directly affects your ability to land fish. A strong hook can withstand the fight of larger species without bending or breaking, ensuring that you can successfully reel in your catch. Additionally, a durable hook will hold up against the wear and tear of repeated use, especially in challenging fishing environments.
