I 've been using Zoom products for several years now and use the swimmin chunk as a trailer on a 1/4 ounce jig and also a 3/8 ounce jig. i usually dip the legs in a chartreuse garlic dye, and most of my jigs are a shade of green( usually a green crawfish) not sure if the bass see this as a bluegill or crawfish; only that it catches fish!! i fish an extremely clear, fairly deep lake so detail is very important.

I used to use strike king rage swimmers and they were decent, but if I can catch on 6- 7 fish per bait on average with the googan baits, versus 2- 3 with strike king its a no brainer. Had these recommended to me by a fellow fisherman for a local body of water. This is quite different from the other worms and soft plastics I normally use. It has an interesting action, but you must take great care to thread it on the worm hook exactly straight. Otherwise you have issues with it spinning. I switched to a weighted hook, which greatly helped with keeping the lure upright and stable. I have caught a few bass on it in two different bodies of water, though the weather has not been a bit hot for great action lately.
