I put a Z- Man Trick Shots Bad Shad on a 1/6 ounce size, and was slaying the bass at a local pond. Hooks are sharp, and the rig was able to get through most weeds easily. Only got hung up in some really heavy grasses a couple of times, but I was able to get out without losing, or even damaging, any tackle.

Excellent quality and value as you get a jighead and 2 tails. If you striper fish, a soft plastic sand eel is a necessity along with 2 other lures in the northeast. There's many options but what is nice about the Madeel the soft plastic is pre- formed with dedicated hook shank guide so there's no need to measure or keep retrying to center the hook or where it protrudes. Sometimes a Tsunami or Hogy eel does not work throw a Madeel and see if you get a hookup. Its' what happens to me all the time when one profile is seen too much another offering produces a strike. The plastic is also formed to the contours of its jighead so you will always get a consistent swim action.

I 've been using Zoom products for several years now and use the swimmin chunk as a trailer on a 1/4 ounce jig and also a 3/8 ounce jig. i usually dip the legs in a chartreuse garlic dye, and most of my jigs are a shade of green( usually a green crawfish) not sure if the bass see this as a bluegill or crawfish; only that it catches fish!! i fish an extremely clear, fairly deep lake so detail is very important.

Great lure for Lake Michigan Smallies. I gave a 5 star review but it is more like 4. 5 stars. My only complaint would be that they are very heat sensitive. They will melt on you if you leave them in your hot trunk or hot bag. BUT.... They do hold up well to multiple catches per bait. And hold up well to being dragged across sharp, rocky bottom structure. Just keep them out of the heat and you will be good to go!

Very nice lure! This is the good. The bad is that you can not find replacement bodies. Expensive! I went thru tens of tails while fishing for stripers. Small bluefish keeps eating the bodies snd i had to use Al gag bodies to replace them

I have been casting this bait for a couple weeks now in the 4. 5 and 6 inch size. No catches on the 6 inch but have had many followers. The 4. 5 gets crushed even by 1. 5 pounders! My favorite retrieve is slow and steady. Definitely keeping these tied on this winter and spring.
